Shortly before Christmas last year, my sister donated to wreaths across America. One was placed on a veteran's grave. She had a second sent to me. Both my wife and I are Navy Vets. Rather than placing the wreath on our front door, we chose to place it on the grave of a Viet Nam veteran's grave at the local cemetery in Quitman, Texas. Our great grandson accompanied us and we each said a prayer and left a penny on sailor's headstone.
I was proud to pick up wreaths from Columbia Maine and take them back to Missouri and Illinois for the Veterans Cemetaries , As a veteran this meant the world to me to be a part of this wonderful organization. I know one day they will place a wreath for me. God bless everyone involved
For the past 3 years I have brought Troop 626 from Kolin/Deville Louisiana to help not just placing the Wreaths, but also unboxing, fluffing and staging them throughout the Cemetery. I am a Navy Veterans and I come from a Family of Veterans as far back as WW1. So honoring our Veterans is a passion I have. I like to teach my Scouts about patriotism and the importance of Honoring those that give us the opportunity to do the things we are free to do today. We also do Flag Retirement Ceremonies and Place over 600 flags on 32 different Cemeteries in our Community. Honoring our Veterans is important for many reasons, these are people who wrote a blank Check, secured by their lives so you can be Free.
This service is amazing. They gave their lives for us to be free. It’s nice that good people still exist and are honoring the bravest of the brave. I love this country
I will be delivering wreaths and also participating in the wreath hanging tomorrow at Gonzales, La, Baton Rouge, La, & Lafayette, La. it’s such an honor to be apart of this.
I'll be one of 4 drivers this year. I'll be driving from KS to CO than laying wreaths at Fort Leavenworth. Lost friends and relatives. May they never been forgotten. #army #america
Hi, I participated in my first Wreaths Across America. It was a moving Experience, I'm a truck Driver for one of the companies that sends a truck up to Maine for the past 9 years. The company asked me to make a video of the convoy over to the Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC . Im also th emedia director for our youtube channel and i was researching I came across this video. Very Good job, I liked it so much, I copied a little bit of it for my video. I will get in touch again through your website and send a link. Working title is "Wheels turn for Wreaths Across America" .
My son is not buried in a national cemetery, we don't get a wreath... Several who died with my son are in Arlington. Thank you for serving those from the incidents of 2017.
I wonder what these deceased veterans would say about WAA. I would think they would say this is a bunch of Bullshit! They would probably say "Why are you spending money to put a wreath on my grave? Why are you paying yourself and waisting this money when you could help my Brothers who are still alive!"
1:43 this does strike a deep chord of patriotism. Of gratitude. God bless this country.
