Ravish Bhaji, expecting your Model Y to cover the remaining $43k loan is a bit much right now. It's a great time for buyers because of Tesla's inventory discounts and zero percent financing. New Model Ys are available for $38-40k with federal and State EV credits. Plus, a new version of the Model Y is expected next year, and Tesla is motivated to clear their current inventory with really good discounts. So, it might not be the best time to sell if you want the trade-in to cover your loan.

You are right. Tesla losing roughly 50% in first year was surprising though. But I noticed cars older than that like 2-3 year old were also selling for the same price. So I think it’s worth waiting a little bit

@@RavishVlogs Ravish Bhaji, Tesla doesn’t worry too much about the condition of cars they take for trade-ins since they send them all to auctions. You might get a bit more by selling it privately, but it probably won't cover your loan balance. It might be better to wait a few months to see what happens with future of EV credits, and then decide.
