I had seen all of your video you are doing great work. you explaination is good and animation is fantastic it will make more easier to understand the concept of all topic that you covered please make more video like that
Hi there, Do you also have a video on comparing butterfly valves with offset, double offset and triple offset? I try to find stuff but never come across videos showing what the valves do.
What might cause the disc to suddenly scrape particles off the seat? I have a valve that's been working for years. No change in any other parameters as I can see. And yet, recently, the valve scraped off a noticeable amount of particles.
I visited a gas cavern once and a few pump storage stations etc. They had a lot of ball valves, but I don't remember seeing butterfly valves. If the seal can withstand the corrosive nature of the gas, then I imagine they can be used within gas systems. I would have to research it a bit though. Servomotor = yes, good for throttling.

Very simple but informative. Thank you.
I know too little about so many things around me. Thanks for the clear explanation!
Thank you from Philippines!
Great Explanation.. keep it up sir !!!

Great video. Good work.
Interesting ! Thanks a lot
You are welcome!
Thanks!
i love how you say "body"
You doing very good job - it would be nice to reduce the duration of the video, please.

Do this valve life time more than others type?

If the indication is broken, how do you know valve is open or shut?
I really enjoyed the video !
Can this lug wafer butterfly be used with natural gas ? And a servomotor for regulation ?

Why using gearbox increases response time?
If you have a gear ratio of 2:1, the valve takes twice as long to actuate i.e. you turn the wheel more but movement is less. Hope that helps.
what this speed this motorized valve can be setting more fast..?

One here. I didn't know they are good for slurries? Slurries are generally abrasive and would eat the disc in the flow line.
Not informative enough. Nothing mentioned about full lug versus wafer body valves. Nothing about the correct orientation of BV in a horizontal pipe.
