      I’ve not played any of the crash games, so while I can’t say what I think needs to be added, what I can say is I dislike that RUclips got rid of the dislike counts. I’ll definitely play the N’Sane Trilogy, and Crash 4 just so I can get my personal experience on it

      @@ethantunnell8009 Wumpa League isn't the next mainline Crash game, it's a multiplayer spin off, like CTR. The main series is the single player platformers with more of a story.

    1. Return of the power crystals

      I really want more hidden areas like in crash bandicoot two cortex strikes back. You had to do really out-of-the-box things to unlock these hidden pathways. I want to see more cut scenes as well and more characters. I’d love to see different dimensions with different art styles and we can see the insane art style again. It bothers me they just change the style and the character designs. That’s fine just give us something to show that is in a different universe…

      @@jessejive117 I agree. I disliked the Crash 4 artstyle. Too cartoony for me. I would've liked same style as N. Sane with some cartoony dimension to transition into the 5th installment. Not this abrupt change we got.

    For me, I would love to see Crunch Bandicoot return in Crash Bandicoot 5. What he could do is that not only Crunch could have similar abilities to Crash and Coco, but he could be the heavy one out of the three bandicoots. Crunch could pick up heavy objects and throws them at cracked walls to get access to different areas. He doesn’t jump high like Crash and Coco. Crunch could also uses his charge attack to break crates and defeat enemies. They also need to bring back death routes like from the N Sane Trilogy. Nina Cortex should also come back as a playable just like from Crash Twin Sanity, but evolved her gameplay a little more.

    My changes:
    1. Remove inverted levels
    2. Make side character levels stand alone (if they have Crash in it too make it not a repeat segment of another level)
    3. Shorten some levels. This makes completing a level without dying hell. OG trilogy levels were half as long as some of the Crash 4 levels
    4. Stop hiding boxes in unreasonable places
    5. Reduce Gem count. It doesn't feel as good getting one when there is hundreds of them
    6. Remove hidden gems. Colored gems were okay but I still liked the Crash 2 or 3 ones more. I prefer alternate routes to off screen BS
    7. Add back Crystals
    8. Remove triple spin and add back run
    9. Have more Aku Aku boxes and make using him as good as it was in the OG trilogy
    10. Have Aku Aku and Uka Uka be more involved in the story/gameplay. Also, I would love to see other characters make a return too

      I'll agree with just about EVERYTHING here.
      There are one or two where we can probably afford to leave, but you basically nailed all of the major faults with It's About Time in a nutshell with these suggestions.

    Honestly feel like the Quantum masks were a one and done thing as characters. Based on the circumstances where they were awakened, they were primarily involved due to the fracturing of the multiverse. Kinda weird if they just hung out regularly now.

    I would love to see Tiny Tiger as a side character for the 5th installment. In crash bash, both Tiny & Dingodile were transferred to the good side. (Since we see dingodile as a good guy, I would love to see how Tiny Tiger would have a change of heart when it comes to actions)

      They should give Tiny Tiger the same design and voice he’s had in games like Warped, Wrath or Cortex, The Huge Adventure and Crash Nitro Kart instead of Crash of the Titans (a game I like more than I see the vitriolic hatred for besides Tiny, the rest of the redesigns (which I’m okay with (but yeah, the character designs in the Naughty Dog Crash games are top tier!) with that noticeable elephant in the room being, you know, Tiny Tiger) and the gameplay being different from Crash platformers (but in the best way, and if you want a version of Titans that has much more Classic Crash elements, then you’re gonna love the DS version like me!).).

    Here's some suggestions I have for what I'd like to see in Crash 5.
    If it were again developed by Toys for Bob and followed the same level by level structure, here's how I would spice it up.
    Levels
    - Each area has 5 levels instead of 3.
    - Each level has 1 Crystal and 5 Gems to get: Wumpa Fruit (3), Crates (1) and Hidden (1).
    - You get the Crystal by completing the level normal, instead of finding it on the beaten path.
    - The 3 Deaths Gems and N Sanely Perfect Relics will be removed to cut down on repetition and encourage players to freely experiment with the lives they obtained (if they chose Retro mode).
    - It will bring back Death Routes as the player's "No Deaths" reward and have them work the same as the Gem platforms from 4; a challenging gauntlet with boxes to break and once the route is complete, it brings you back to where it was in the main level.
    - The hypothetical alternate character scenarios return, only they're much longer, and don't require the player to go through Crash and Coco's sections again with different box placements; they end when that character's point ends.
    - The more obtuse box placement will be cut down considerably (no more Off-Balance nonsense).
    - Gems again contribute to unlocking costumes for Crash and Coco.
    - Relics remain unchanged, though the true ending is only locked behind Gold, with Platinum (and Dev) being a bragging right.
    N Verted Mode
    Have this feature more gameplay altering mechanics rather than simple screen filters and expand on the ones present in 4, eg: the paint splattering starts off as a completely white void where you cannot make out anything until you colour it in.
    N Verted Mode Potential new ideas:
    - One area materialises and disappears as the player moves through it, giving only a small area of view to keep them on their toes. The filter will be akin to the Matrix.
    - One area is shown flying upwards at breakneck speeds, making gravity heavier. The screen filter for this would be light sepia.
    - One area works as a inverse of the paint splattering one, with the player spinning thinner instead, which will make the level disappear the more they do.
    - One level gradually speeds up as the player progresses through it. The screen filter for this would be a VHS static.
    Instead of giving the same Gems as the regular levels, the rewards for NV here are Coloured Gem Shards, of which there are 6 per level:
    - Red: Finish the Level
    - Green: Collect 40% Wumpa Fruit
    - Yellow: Collect 60% Wumpa Fruit
    - Purple: Collect 80% Wumpa Fruit
    - Blue: Break All Crates
    - Orange: Hidden
    Once all the shards for any Gem are obtained, a Bonus Area on the map will be unlocked with 6 new levels to beat. The levels themselves will remain locked until all the shards of that level's respective Gem are obtained.
    These levels are extremely challenging obstacle courses that contain no crates whatsoever, and the reward for beating them is the respective Coloured Gem.
    The NV variants of these levels will award the player with the brand new Black Gems (shaped like Red (Pink) Gem in the OG Crash 1, which are necessary for true completion).

    Here's my take:
    1. Make inverted modes optional, and you only have to get items on one version to count towards 100%.
    2. Exclude Perfect Relics and Platinums from completion. Golds could get players to 106%.
    3. Have an item at the start of the level to begin a Perfect Run and avoid long load times.
    4. Quick Tutorial for Time Trials on how the freezing mechanic truly functions.
    5. Remove the 3 Deaths Gem.
    6. Hidden Gems shouldn't require an additional run.
    7. No more overly hidden boxes.

    I want to see Ripper Roo, Tiny and the Komodo Brothers as side characters.
    Imagine playing through Komodo levels that call back to Twinsanity where the two go together, and on occasion, they separate, with areas in narrow spaces and others which require throwing swords.
    Ripper Roo levels where the level is distorted by his twisted mind, where the enemies look and behave differently to their 'normal' versions.
    Tiny, as a Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger) playing through stealth-based levels, as a joke on how overly conspicuous he appears.

    I can Imagine some of the scrapped elements from Twinsaniy being put to good use without being It's own bizzaro sequel or Introduce N.Trance, Crunch the Evil Twins and Evil Crash like they teased as easter eggs while Evil Coco get to be a new acceptation..

    I also didn't like the nverted levels, didn't even bother to play them all. Game was unreasonably hard to complete 106%, and I'm talking as a Crash veteran. Levels were too long for me to enjoy, and scales were too big sometimes. With the character switches and nverted modes I think there were to many repetitions, and that's why I didn't have the hype to complete everything after beating the game. These were the negatives for me, but the main elements of gameplay, story and artistic design were all great.

    Here are the things that really want to see in Crash Bandicoot 5 as the next brand new Crash mainline game into the future.
    1): Brand new story where the story has been left of after the events of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (2020).
    2): Brand new levels.
    3): Brand new power abilities for Crash and Coco.
    4): Main boss fights like: Ripper Roo, Koala Kong, Tiny Tiger, Nina Cortex, and the final boss fight: Dr. Neo Cortex and Uka Uka.
    And 5): Side playable characters like: Crash and Coco, Tawna, Dingodile, and a brand new side playable character that some people or me that has been requesting it for a very long time: Crunch Bandicoot.
    I don't know yet, but depends on game developers of Activision like Toys for Bob developers or Beenox developers.
    But what do you guys think? 🙂

    For me personally, I wish that the levels were shorter. I felt really demotivated to fully complete the game because you potentially have to end up playing the levels multiple times, and with the levels being really long and having tonnes of crates, it all starts to feel like a chore. I personally would want the levels to follow the design of original levels; have crystals, have gems for getting every box, have hidden coloured gems and secret challenges (smash no crates). I would also love to see the return of having to collect individual wumpas but I may be in the minority there. I feel that whilst the game has a strange difficulty curve, I never felt that I was ever struggling because I either had unlimited lives or I had more than enough if I played classic mode. I personally feel that they need to not give out as many lives, whilst also making the levels difficulty feel as up and down (if that makes sense).

      I agree. Truthfully I think if the developers wanted a super difficult game for veteran fans, they should have just added a hard mode. Better yet make that the N Verted mode, a separate campaign with longer more difficult level layouts while keeping the normal campaign more reasonable.

    I actually expected in Crash 4, the option to make your own levels, like you do in Mario maker or in Portal. I hope we can design levels in later games, we could make some simpler but challanging level designs and make our friends play it. There can be a multiplayer element to it also.

      Designing a 3d level is waaaay more complicated than 2d levels. Can't see a Crash maker working and still be simple enough for a mainstream audience to get into.

      @@sammalone7881 I think it can work if a simple background is already in place, and you just choose elements such as boxes, tnts, enemies, hazards etc. and put them in place. General design and background is not that important, if you look at Portal, it works in 3D. And modders actually go even further than the in game level editor in portal and they make whole storylines. I don't see why it would't work, it might be challenging, but atleast we can create some flashback tape levels in 2.5D maybe, it would be cool.

    You had me at "Nina Cortex".
    Things I would do:
    1 - Fix the loading times for restarting, we're on Ninth Gen that SHOULDN'T be a problem.
    2 - Give us an option to mute in-level dialogue
    3 - Remove the death gem, or at the very least make it into an optional relic instead. In fact have a set number of gems needed of each level's skin and KEEP IT CONSISTENT throught the game. The difficulty should come from the levels themselves not having to pull off some insane garbage TWICE in order to unlock a skin.
    4 - Give the characters that aren't Crash or Coco full levels.
    5 - Replace mirror mode with a "Hard Mode" - we had hints of this with the side character missions, so why not go ahead and give Crash/Coco full alternative versions of a level? Failing hard mode, what about a remix mode where the levels go absolutely crazy and feature THINGS that weren't even in the level and I DON'T mean just changing the box layout.
    6 - Have a set number of boxes and wumpas in every level. STICK TO IT.

    My wishlist for crash 5:
    10. Give the game some difficulty settings(easy and hard mode) and the level design like the amount of obstacles and checkpoints changes depending on the difficulty mode like the magaman games
    9. No n verted mode or any sort of 100% completion padding it's a crash game it shouldn't be longer than 20 hours
    8. The timeline levels should be short and exclusive to the playable characters and it's really unnecessary to reply some repeated sections of the crash levels
    7. Maybe give the quantum masks multiple uses or maybe add another new masks with new abilities
    6. Remove the N sanely perfect relics it's not fun
    5. Get back the running shoes and get rid of the triple spin, most people actually prefer the running shoes.
    4. Add some new level themes and locations that we haven't visited before in a crash game
    3. Make the jungle levels more fleshed out because crash 4 had only two (remember how amazing n sanely island was in crash twinsanity)
    2. More unique skins for crash and coco
    1. I like to see another returning characters

    I still think the idea of splitting the story of Crash 5 into two teams (Team Bandicoot and Team Cortex, just Like CNK) could actually work pretty well, only problem, the developers would have to decide which characters are playable for team cortex as well as design new gameplay styles for each character while also keeping the classic crash bandicoot stage layouts in mind, like the linear pathway is what I mean

      Here are a few things about that
      1) If they are to have two stories, pls don't let them share the same lvl, or at least keep share a few levels but with different perspective if they two sides meet each other around these lvls.
      2) We play crash, mainly for crash's gamestyle, you will need a villian that plays like crash( *MAYBE* Nina).
      3) Most of the lvls from both stories should be crash and the crash-style villian.

    What I really want improve is the story, expositions, and character potentials and backstories as well as better bosses, like your not put in a stage and spin enemies at the boss

    I love Crash 4, and it's already among my top favorite games of all time. If I had to be very nitpicky about things that they could improve for the sequel:
    1. They should bring back death routes and secret level entrances. It had that air of mystery and exciting discovery behind it reminiscent of schoolyard rumors.
    2. Aku Aku should come back to prominence. I felt he was sidelined in this game. I missed that traditional invincibility section you'd see at the end of each game.
    3. Have a middle tier 100% ending for getting all the gems and sapphire relics like in Crash Warped. Maybe I just need to get good, but needing all the platinum relics was a bit much in my opinion. I also liked how in Crash 3 you had to face Cortex again just before you got to see the 100% ending. Having a 100% completion specific boss would be a pretty cool incentive.
    4. This might be a big change as its tradition by this point, but I would like to see some kind of partial reward given if you don't get all the boxes on your first go. It can be a little demotivating to spend so much time looking for boxes only to find you missed just one - especially in levels where you can't go back and get the ones you missed. For casual players, there's not too much of an incentive to go looking for all the boxes anyway since they are technically not even required to beat the game. I like what they did with rewarding gems for the percentage of wumpa fruit collected. I think it would make sense if they do something like that but with boxes.
    5. I feel like the levels should have been shorter and more bite-sized. Just for example, Rush Hour could have very easily been split in two.
    6. Storywise, I felt like more could have been done with the multiverse concept. Things like visiting Tawna's home universe, a universe where Uka Uka was successful in taking over, or maybe you're in a universe where instead of Crash Bandicoot, it's Willy Wombat.

    Here’s my 5 ideas, so far:
    1. Bring back the free-roaming gameplay that TwinSanity did, where it lets you roam free around the area, and you can move the camera around to give you the best views of the game, kinda like an open world game. (Similar to what Spyro does)
    2. Include a secret mode (after finishing the game 100%), where you get to hear Crash speaking fluent sentences, during gameplay. (And, yes. I’m one of those people that actually likes Crash talking)
    3. Bring back that secret code on the title screen, that gives you a taste of the purple dragon. XD
    4. Give Crash himself a bigger role in the plot of the game, rather than just having him in the background of the cutscenes. Let him be the MAIN character of his story.
    5. Include some characters from the PS2 era, as fully playable characters. Eg; Nina, Crunch, Emperor Velo, Pasadena, N. Trance, the Evil Twins, Madame Amberly, Von Clutch, and Farmer Ernest.

      It was an insult how Toys for Bob just ignored all of the characters Beenox painstakingly and lovingly brought back...

      I disagree with your no1 point.. If they do that it's no longer a main crash game it will lose it's charm and purpose

    Ever notice that the side characters couldn’t do triple spin, yeah I figured you did. If side characters could triple spin or have a faster ability upon story completion of the game, it would help make time trials even faster and make platinum relics easier in those levels. Though your thumbs would get sore quicker if triple spin was their ability.

    things i want :
    1️⃣ open world
    2️⃣The return of old characters
    3️⃣Completely new and unrepetitive ideas from old parts
    4️⃣new masks
    5️⃣return of the monster's
    I hope these things will be implemented especially the open world because we haven't seen any open world game in a long time

    -Blast to the past was the worst but not Run It Bayou? Honestly in total just stop having them out of frame/vision that was the problem.
    -As far as levels go I'd say put in the old concept ideas and make it work with that level.
    -At this point we should still be able to use the power ups we got from crash 3 like the tornado spin since it is Crash's specialty.
    -I do like some of them mask ideas: Kapuwana can rewind to save your error like 1 time so you wont lose a life, LaniLoni can make crash invisible and sneakaround certain enemies, and we can also have anti-gravity where crash can float for certain areas.
    -I wanna see Crunch and Nina added like how they were first introduced in Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity
    Based on the flashback tapes and how it ended if you got 106% completed I do hope we get to see Crashworth Cortex rise in Crash 5. I feel like we can get a satisfying conclusion if Cortex did succeed fully only for it to blow up in his face reforming him. We can have crystals and gems again. Oh and have Crash Bash mixed in there too.

    1 - Warp Rooms
    2 - Bring back the purple and orange gems along with a new one
    3 - Death Routes
    4 - No more hidden crates and no more "die less than 4 times" gems
    5 - Crunch Bandicoot
    6 - Expand Crash's moveset
    7 - New collectible (Mojo would be cool)

    I would like a prequel to Wrath of Cortex. One where they go to a dimension where Cortex mutated Crash, but the vortex didn't damage his brain, and Crash became his general. This led to him conquering the Wampa Islands.
    At the same time the N. Tropies and Oxide are causing trouble in the prime universe.
    There will be stories for Crash, Cortex(from the prime universe), and Tawna that all interconnect.
    Characters:
    Crash's story: Crash, Aku Aku, and Coco
    Cortex's story: Cortex, Uka Uka, N. Gin, Nina, and Tiny.
    Tawna's story Tawna, and Crunch.
    Yes, Tawna meets Crunch.
    It ends with Crunch captured and mind controlled, Female N. Tropy and Other Dimension Tawna go back to their own dimension, and our N. Tropy is back with Cortex who is working on a new weapon.

    Dedicated unique vehicle levels (that are 100% just the vehicle etc), for example, full on revamped Atlas Sphere stuff, a level type where Crash and Cortex are chained together by the legs and have to work together (or just have an weighted object that Crash has to work around being chained to his body, his weight/movement etc being constrained by it. If it goes into a pit, so does he. A stronger character could have this concept except the chained object can also be used as a weapon to hit long distance stuff. Also it'd be really neat if they brought in a sort of 'Crate Factory' level where you're in a factory where all the crates etc are created and you have to platform through it.

    Here are my ideas
    1: have the n-sane trilogy designs back cos they are closer to the original designs specifically
    2: have skins of past crash games or other references and have retro skins of past versions of crash
    3: have power crystals and more coloured gem with clues or something to get them
    4:have classic past villains return for revenge or something
    5 have unlockables
    6: have more playable characters

    Make N Verted a separate 'Hard Mode' campaign you earn after completing the main game. This also gives more opening to alter N Verted levels more, maybe downplaying the normal campaign to be more reasonable difficulty for casual gamers while having N Verted the more extreme path with longer harder levels.

    I really hope very much that Tawna and Coco will be fully playable characters in Crash Bandicoot 5, because they are my favorite characters.
    Dingodile would be also nice too. It would be just as cool if Ripper Roo joined the good guys too.
    I wouldn't mind a comeback of Crunch, as long as I can see my favorite characters appearing in that game.
    I would also appreciate it if I could switch back and forth between the outfits, so that I e.g. have several outfits for Coco, Tawna (for example from Crash 1 and Crash 4, because I love both outfits), and Crash himself.
    Crash's main attire consists of a pair of Blue Denim Jeans and I want these back for him! His Blue Jeans are what made him popular and what made him stand out. Now (since the N' Sane Trilogy) he has some strings in the middle of his pants instead of a belt, and a lack of any definite Denim textures, which looks stupid in my opinion.
    Furthermore, I still dream that Crash, Coco, and Tawna will be playable characters in the remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 or at least in the upcoming 3 & 4 Remake. Both Crash Bandicoot 4 and the Tony Hawk game were both made by Activison, and there are already clothes with Crash Bandicoot motifs for your skater.
    Please make a video about this idea. :-)

    I agree with your last two points, but I have a few of my own:
    1) Gold Relics are required, NOT Platinum
    2) No N. Sanely Perfect Relics and 3 Life Gems (perfecting every level is a nightmare)
    3) Make the levels a bit more easier, especially in the last few levels (don't be as hard as Crate Escape, Toxic Tunnels, and Cortex Castle)

    My own ideas:
    1: Alter Crash and Coco's movesets so they don't play almost identical, like maybe have some areas that require Coco to use her computer to open a locked door and maybe have areas that require Crash to wall-jump or to scale cliffs.
    2: Being able to switch between Crash and Coco in levels as one would follow the other.
    3: Bring back levels that only Crash can enter and levels that only Coco can enter.
    4: Have vehicles unique to Crash and Coco, like when travesing water Crash has a jetboard and Coco has a jetski or Crash can ride Polar while Coco rides Pura.
    5: Have vehicles levels, where both operate the same vehicle, maybe Crash drives and Coco shoots.

    time trial yet a very undeveloped move in the whole

    I just wanna see something new for Crash. That is to say, something other than a hallway platformer or a kart racer. Don't get me wrong; those are great and you'll never hear me say otherwise, but I firmly believe that the Crash Bandicoot series can and perhaps SHOULD be more than just those two things... no matter how much the Naughty Dog fanboys might scream at me for daring to suggest such.
    Seriously, those old school fans have put the original trilogy and CTR up on such a high pedestal that they refuse to look past them, essentially seeing those first four Crash games on PS1 as the Lord's work and anything else Crash-related as the work of the Devil. It's ridiculous.

    - Don't bloat levels with inverted for completion.
    - Return boss power ups to make dynamic platforming in levels.

    Since Crash is a character with a lot of agility and time-trials are already a thing, I'd like to see if they could lean into that and make his move set even more parkour. It might work especially well in an open-world game, not totally sure about classic levels.

    Here's my idea for a new Crash Bandicoot:
    1. Don't ever touch Crash Bandicoot ever again as long as Activision controls the IP.
    2. Stop covering Crash altogether until Activision relinquishes the IP or until every single abuser from every level of the company is gone.
    3. If that doesn't happen, cover spiritual successors and similar games not controlled by abusers.
    4. Makes my own Crash game using the Unity engine.
    5. Crash and Cortex unite to kill Bobby Kotick over and over again forever.

    The story of Crash 5 (Crash Bandicoot 5: The Revenge of Uka Uka) could be:
    Uka Uka returns and decides to use Cortex as his lap dog to do his bidding after leaving him on that planet after 22 years of trying to escape. Uka Uka's ultimate goal would be same as Crash: Warped but we'd have different characters and locations to interact with.
    There would be six locations, and while I haven't decided what I would put for it, I've got boss ideas:
    1. Rilla Roo and Ripper Roo (after this point, Rilla teams with you and you can play as him).
    2. Ebenezer Von Clutch (you visit his park to try and get a power gem to fuel a machine)
    3. N. Arach (a new spider-like foe)
    4. Madame Amberley (you visit the Academy of Evil to team up with Nina)
    5. N. Oxide (Working for Uka Uka)
    6. Uka Uka (Cortex would work with you)
    Playable characters would be:
    Crash and Coco
    Nina
    Cortex
    Rilla Roo
    Pinstripe
    This is my personal wishlist but if what we gets good, if we are getting a Crash 5, then I'll be happy.

    My main points for crash 5:
    hidden areas and boxes need much better clues to find them.
    pay off the teases to crunch and the elemental masks from this game.
    make levels shorter so they're easier to play in short bursts. To account for this, we could reintroduce sibling levels (levels with the same theming) to maintain game length.
    a more managable speed mechanic
    make retrying a challenge run of a stage loadless

    My wishes for a Crash 5:
    - Ripper Roo finally has significance
    - More playable characters (Tiny and Ripper Roo perhaps)
    - tone down on the gems
    - Ditch N. Verted mode entirely
    - A better N. Tropy fight (Secret boss maybe?)
    - Perhaps replayability could come in the form of an extra mode, which would be a harder version of the game with new secrets to unlock and maybe an alternate ending to the game?
    Think how Kirby handles this concept.

    Well here are mine for Crash 5 .
    1.- Give Back Super Powers ( Missed a lot the Fruit Bazooka and also let's just have a run button again and not triple spin until I break my control)
    2.- Death Routes ( May be better challenge than bonuses or Nsanely Perfect relics)
    3.- Crystals (Something better to collect) .
    4.- More levels and full levels and better development for the side characters .
    Cortex , Tawna and Dingodile only had 1 full level for each and the timeline levels should have been also a full level for them and not a mid level .
    Plus they were wasted in story development.
    4.- Warp Room again ( A better way to play)
    5.- Give a real 100% completion

    One idea I had for a Crash Bandicoot 5 is another interdimensional storyline but has Crash teaming up with A mutant wombat from an alternate dimension called Willy the Wombat and his sister Wanda who say they are from an alternate universe where Dr Cortex decided to mutate a wombat instead of a bandicoot and we learnt that this version of Dr Cortex is actually more evil than the normal Dr Cortex and in case you're wondering Willy the Wombat is actually meant to be based on some concept art of Crash where he was originally supposed to be a wombat

    I'd like it if the story didn't have Crash and Coco together.
    Like you can play as Crash and do the whole story, but like the side missions, there's moments where it's like "huh?" but then you play Coco's story and it turns out she does things that help Crash out and visa versa.
    This way you can have easier versions of certain level themes, and harder versions of others. And this way Crash wouldn't feel like the comic relief sidekick in his own game. Both characters play sorta the same but they each get their own story. Like Crash could have Aku Aku and maybe Coco has to team up with one of the Quantum masks that lost their power so they just have the basic extra hit point until a certain point in the adventure.

    I’d love a slight redesign of crash in his next games. I know I’m being nit picky but I would really like if they kept the old look of crash with the new design, for example the mouth being peach instead of his belly and mouth being one color, the inside of his ears a darker color of orange, and for him not to have wacky looking shoulders. His nose also seems strange instead of being the usual black. But not just crash should be getting these small design changes but so should coco and other characters due to their strange appearances. Dr. Neo cortex for example didn’t feel as menacing as he should as a villain. So I think slight design changes should be implemented to really make people who played the older games feel like they aren’t playing a completely different game from the crash bandicoot universe. The changes to the characters were just too sudden to be fully embraced some people including myself. I’m not whining about it, I just want what’s best for crash going forward as a whole as my favorite video game character.

    Pinstripe, Ripper Roo, Koala Kong and everyone else should be bosses and letting you play as DingoDile but maybe as an ally but not a hero as he is tricking Crash and Coco. Also, Cortex should be the main villain but never teaming up with Crash but N. Tropy becomes main villain is perfect and Uka Uka as Final Boss on N. Tropy’s face would be my ideal Crash 5

    in my opinion
    -make level shorter. cb1-3 levels were a little on the short side, but cb4 levels are too long
    -more bosses. and cool bosses with personalities, not... a fish
    -more playable characters. i think cb4 did a good job with tawna cortex and dingo, i want to see more of that.
    -easier dificulty, but no infinite lives. i feel like collecting wumpas is worthless if you already have the 100% box gem, so making the game easier for casuals but having no infinite lives would be better
    -better and cooler loadingscreen, intro screen, worldmap... this are more minor details but these things make the game more inmersive. they do add up in the end. for example, the worldmap is good, but it could have been cooler if we actually saw the bandicoots travelling through space and such

    Like to see they reveal who the ancients are the ones that locked up the elementals and mentioned in crash bash. Bring back the running shoes, dingodile has a flamethrower, crash and Coco and cortex return to their universe, introduced crunch again, open up the evil universe or the 10th dimension. mask abilities suggestions make crash invisible, make crash run 3× faster than the running shoes, transportation, make crash fly, make crash run on water, make crash fire proof, Breaking hidden boxes while running past them.

    My idea: Create a Sudden Death mode.
    A mode for people specifically trying to go for the Insanely Perfect Relics that if you die, will just instantly boot you back to the beginning, instead of making you load out of the level and load back into it every time you die.

    1. Absolutely, some of the ideas aren't bad, but some are just not executed well, that on top of the box break completion can get ridiculous, especially with some of the box locations being RIDICULOUSLY HARD to find unless you're using a magnifying glass.
    2. Personally, I want the Run/Dash back. I also don't hate the Triple Spin, but it very feels kind of "beginner" to me. Sure the implementation in the classic games was simple, but I'd rather HOLD a button/trigger than MASH THE CRAP out of it. Like, if it at least functioned like an ACTUAL combo of the Super Spin and Dash where you're a speeding tornado, then I don't think we'd have THAT MUCH of an issue. But even still, I'd rather have the classic Dash back.
    3. I don't hate the ideas there, but I feel those would need a LOT of tweeking so as to not be super jarring control and visual-wise. Idk I feel like you don't need to change much with the masks already. The only things I'd really want changed is that Akano be allowed to infinity/multi-jump (also maybe just simply stay in place and not auto-move). If Ika-Ika were to flip the entire stage rather than just Crash, I could see people getting VERY easily disorientated with that.
    4. Hard agree, the extra characters need their own stages, not just have their 2nd half just be the rest of the stage you already played with the only minor differences. For Cortex, I don't mind his gameplay, but he DOES feel a lot more nerfed to the rest of them, so I could see them maybe making his stages and gameplay be a lot more like his solo sections in Twinsanity.
    5. Yeah, honestly I could see them adjusting the grapple gameplay if they bring in Nina since she already had that. Tawna in turn (if she returns in any form) should be given a different bonus ability to replace the grapple (maybe expand her parkour aspects &/or let her have the Dash at the get-go). I'd also like to see Crunch come back as like an alternative to Dingo, make him feel like the "Venom" alternative to Crash, unwieldy and destructive if you don't manage proper control.

    2 major things I notice: 1. Crash Lore is so thin in this game, rude awakening has heaps of easter eggs/background objects and then there is pretty much next to none spread through the entire game... opportunity lost, and 2. replayability - graphics gameplay and story are always such a focus that developers forget about this aspect which leads to big fans like myself just dropping the game in under a year from shear boredom, they even said n-verted mode was to help players replay in "new/fun ways' ..... ha, no!

    With the N.Verted levels; if anything; I'd say there's not really much harm in just making it the same level with a different filter and flipped(so long as the filters aren't ugly) but don't waste our time with them by having us collect 40-80 percent of the levels' fruit, die less then three times, finding a hidden gem and getting all the crates again. That took up a whole ton of time from doing the levels the first time so having to do it again just serves to make the level less interesting to even play. How about instead just having it so that we get one gem for reaching the end? You already fill in for the total percentage needed to reach 100% for the whole game(N.Verted needed for 106%) so yeah! Maybe add one or two extra objectives to make playing through it feel newer but either way, don't have us redo the entire stage the same way as we did the first time around.
    As for the alt characters; yes. Either make it so that their levels end after reaching Crash's part of the level so we don't have to redo the level again from that point on or better yet; have it structured similarly to the hidden gem/death routes from the classic Crash games. Where if you play the level for the first time getting all the crates you see, you find out you didn't get them all, but once you reach the alt characters' sections, you then get thrown back into the same stage you missed all the crates in and discover that the alt characters' sections housed those missing crates. There are one or two stages in the game with the alt characters in Crash's sections where you can backtrack to the start of, making it so that you'd have to backtrack like in the classics, but I wouldn't say it's necessary to make these levels better.
    Although speaking of crates; that's another thing they should fix in the next game, make it so that the crates aren't as poorly hidden as they were in this game, like maybe add some wumpa fruit trails like in past games to hidden ones or better yet, have the same Wumpa meter for the crates so that you only need 80 or 90 percent of a level's crate to get the gem.
    And speaking of gems; if there's one gem type they can remove for the next game, I'd say the three deaths or less gems. Main reason being that they serve no purpose at all in the game, especially when you're already avoiding death anyways when going for perfect relics, I just forget it's even in the game to begin with. And if you do decide to skip perfect relics and just go for the gems alone, that just means having to do one run for the crate gem and another for the three deaths gem, the latter of which not really being challenging or interesting to even do when you avoid all extra routes for the crates, so it's basically just more padding.

    I wish the levels flowed together like twinsanity where the end of one level moved straight into the next; like uncharted with its chapters; and i know it does sort of, but if N. Sanity island was just broken into two chapters and never took me out to the map that'd been great. You could even keep the little gem screen where he takes a selfie, but the continue button just readjusts the camera to keep going with the next area. Then use the maps as an area to choose your chapter if you want to go back to other areas, like a level select. I wish more levels had small cutscenes during them, like the first level when crash gets to the first grind rail. I loved the cutscenes but they were fairly far between. More diversity with the bosses. I would have liked to have seen Ripper-roo, Tiny or Pinstripe; even not as bosses; but at least more then a small Easter egg... If Tawnas, Cortex's and dingodile's section were all separate little stories where you do all their segments back to back you would then see how his or her story interacted in the main Crash Story, because redoing half of Crash's level again was tedious... I am nit-picking because i loved the game and have hundreds of hours on it... But this as an option would've been cool.

    Make n verted optional, remove crash repeats in side character levels, bring back old powers and more character bosses. Make it so you can travel between checkpoints so you don't start over a level because you missed 1 box

      Ripper Roo was planned to be a boss in Run it Bayou, but was obviously cut; pretty dang late into development too, if his brief physical in-game cameo in Off Beat and the unused yet fully composed boss theme are any indication.
      But yeah, it's a shame that none of the animals were a boss this time around.

    1. Bring back Ripper Roo as a boss!!! I beg of you Toys For Bob. And Pinstripe and/or Kong too, perhaps? Also: seconding others on Oxide having a bigger role/having his own boss fight.
    I'll edit & add more once I finish the main story since I just really started playing the game this week (and I'm also loving the side-characters & masks)!

    I agree with your ideas, another thing, don't hide gems and boxes like they're easter eggs
    it's kinda annoying at times when you look everywhere only for a box or the gem to hidden outside the screen, not a fan of that
    and some levels in Crash 4 is way too long, I felt it quite a lot in my 1st playthrew, felt like they where going on forever, shorter levels would be great and feel less punishing when you miss a box
    Crash 4 is also a lot harder then previous games in the series, I can always go back 100% older games, but I don't feel like doing this here due to how harsh some level are...am looking mainly at you Cortex Castle >_>
    also yes Bring back Nina and have her playable, I'd love that! :3

    My Idea: Crunch Bandicoot Will Be Become A Playable Character And He was Big Enough To Destroyed Armored Crate. Uka Uka Won't Help Cortex Because The Plan Had Failed And Aku Aku And Uka Uka Will Be A Playable Mask But Before You Need To Defeat The Elementals. Rok-Ko, WA-WA,Lo-Lo And Pyro. They Will Be Playable Mask. And Many Bosses Like Tiny Tiger,Koala Kong,Mr. Crumb ,Fake Crash,Fake Coco, Nina Cortex And More.

    I like these sugjestions. I'd also like the difficulty taken down a notch or two. I'm all for challenging games, but this Crash 4 was a bit much. I'd also like to see levels dedicated to Tiny Tiger and/or N. Gin.

    A couple more Aku Aku mask in levels could be fun. I rarely got to use invincible mode except for levels I knew well enough that I didn't really need it.

    I'd like to play as Tiny, as a big, heavy mass of destruction across the levels. Maybe some other classic bosses returning either as playable characters or, well, bosses. Kinda missed them in It's about time. Also if they implement elements from wrath of cortex, it would be interesting to see the elemental masks ON Crash and Coco instead. Imagine the new power ups they could bring, kinda like those on the first Jak and Daxter maybe.

    ok so this is most likely a month late but ehhhh i don't care
    here are five of my ideas...
    1) have the next game take a more grounded approach akin to crash 1 and 2, rather than reuse 4's multiverse theme. it would blend in too much with its predecessor, and frankly, "multiverses" are really oversaturated in media nowadays. not to mention, tfb's interpretations of n. sanity and cortex island are really cool, i'd love them to tackle the islands more!
    2) "crystal challenges". takes its namesake from crash bash, but they're more like the challenge acts from sonic generations. some new gimmick or mechanic has been integrated into a small bit of the level, and you can tackle it for the chance to earn some crystals.
    3) if timeline levels are to come back, they could instead intersect instead of just ending at the rest of the main level. think how knuckles' levels were handled in sonic 3&k/mania.
    4) also with the timeline levels, the characters interacting could have a bigger effect on gameplay. there could be co-operative puzzles, races against the other character... and did someone say the doc amok sections from twinsanity?
    5) might be a controversial change, but what if instead of just making a regular linear-sidescroller-turned-3D like usual, they made a metroidvania-turned-3D instead? it would be like mind over mutant but designed around the classic gameplay! could even be a good place to bring back crash 3's powerups and fully exploit their exploration potential.

    The main thing I wanna see is better utilization of the QUESTION MARK (?) BOXES.
    In the original Crash a ?Box could contain wumpa OR an extra life OR 1 of 3 various tokens that UNLOCKS the bonus room
    In Crash4 a ?Box is always gonna contain just wumpa

    I loved the original crash games like tag team racers or whatever, it felt like home playing, it had good music, funny voice lines and not a bad story. I want more games like that. Idk maybe it was bc of the little open world where u can jump around to find secrets and stuff idk

    I don't care what crash 5 is going to be about. I only want one thing:
    The Return Of The Orange And Purple gems.
    Why exactly were they removed? Crash 4 is so long,i expected to see the orange gem again,but of course toys-for-lazy-bob had to remove the purple one. I think getting the colored gems are so fun ( not the red one ),and the more colored gems,the better.

    I liked the nverted levels. I think it was the change that felt fresh, but I agree, those hidden gems with the filter on had me inching through levels 1 step at a time after repeating the level the 10th time and not finding it. Triple spin can go to hell, my finger hurt for days after. Completely agree with everything on the side characters and masks.

    Another thing they must do in a Crash Bandicoot 4 is introduce new mutants based on other Australian animals like one person on deviantART did they made a mutant that is an echidna obsessed with Bruce Lee movies a hulking cyborg platypus with a Scottish accent a Razorback dressed as a Canadian lumberjack and a dingo dressed as a gypsy

    I really wish there was a mod that removes the visual effects from the inverted levels. They'd be a nice challenge to troll muscle memory. I just played trough the inverted versions of the first four worlds and in NONE of them I could see anything properly, literally straining my eyes to a point they hurt today.

    1. Yeah I wish the inverted levels had more of an effect on gameplay. I liked the cut time speed, under water, and painting. I was alright with the hidden gems. They aren't that bad if you pay attention to the level. Like the level you mentioned in the prehistoric stage, I easily saw it way earlier in the level. You just have to pay attention to the background.
    2. I actually enjoyed the triple spin more than running shoes just because it's more interactive. I'm okay with either.
    3. I was thinking the same thing for the mask. Like instead of just flipping crash, maybe allow gravity changes in every direction. Up, down, left, right. Thus allowing more expansive level design.
    4. I complete agree. Wish the side characters had more dedicated levels. I think what they could do to kill 2 birds with one stone. The side characters get longer dedicated levels. Then N. Verted levels can have the "harder" version of the level that was usually in the Crash/Coco section of the side characters stages. That way N. Verted doesn't make you play the entire level again, but has a smaller much more challenging section of a level. They can even go further and change up the hazards to make the level extra challenging. Basically making N. Verted mode an expert mode. I would love to be challenged more. The final levels of Crash 4 was so fun to play because of the difficulty.
    5. More side characters is never a bad thing. Even better if they add a brand new Bandicoot to the team.

      @@bisscotto9146 Yes the final 2 dimensions had my favorite levels in the game. They were very challenging on the 1st play through. I like a challenge. Ironically, I got the N. Sane perfect relic on those levels the easiest and struggle to get it more on the earlier levels. Even the gem route took me less than 3 attempts for the perfect relic. I don’t see why people would hate the levels. There is nothing wrong with the design and a level being difficult doesn’t mean it bad. It is just the player who needs to improve.
      A lot of people mistake a level “being difficult” for bad level design. When in fact it is just the player that is unable to adapt and improve. I actually enjoy difficult levels because it cause me to actual have to pay attention and adapt what I’m doing. I’m not a fan of easy levels because it is just mindlessly going through the motion.
      (I’m also like an expert at games, so what is easy for me is hard for other people. I’m also a veteran to Crash Bandicoot as well, so they probably also affects my view on the levels.) Oh and some other people like the levels too. Mostly veterans of the series who like the challenge. It is mostly new comers who didn’t like the levels because they aren’t used to game having no mercy on the player.

      @@Chibuga well I love difficult level too, in fact one of my favorite level in Crash 4 is Cortex Castel (which I obtain the n.sane relict too) but Toxic Tunnel just got a special place in my nightmarers, I think it's the most difficult level in crash's history but it's not the level it self difficult it's that gem route which I think it's the worst thing I ever experienced in my life (and dying 71 times is not very funny). Plus I think it's one of the worst level in terms of music and design so I can only hate this level. But I respect you're opinion and find the last levels fo the games (except toxic tonnels) very good

      @@bisscotto9146 Actually now that I think about, Toxic Tunnels is actually my favorite level in the entire game. Though like I said it comes down to player experience. You don’t like it because you died a lot in the gem route. I liked it because I was actually challenged for once. I died 21 times before I beat the gem route. It doesn’t sound like much, but for a person of my skill level, 21 deaths means it is a very hard level. I liked the challenge. The perfect relic took me less than 3 attempts. Mostly because I was just experimenting with deaths on my 1st play through to learn the timing of jumps and stuff.
      Also I actually really love the song and level design. Though I can see why you don’t like it. It isn’t exactly a crash bandicoot design. The music is actually closer to Donkey Kong and definitely DK level design with the rail roads. I think that is what makes me love the level. DK has like my 2nd favorite platforming games gameplay. But DK also has ridiculously hard level design. Way harder than Crash Bandicoot.
      Also I loved Cortex Castle too. Especially the final section in which you had to use all of the mask powers in quick session. That was so fun. That level got the most deaths out of me. I believe I died 57 times on my 1st attempt. It is definitely my favorite “final level” out of all the Crash games.

      @Matschenz McGrady OFFICIAL I’m not sure what you are trying to point out here? Sales doesn’t effect how I feel about a game? It is my personal opinion. What logic were you trying to use? Lol
      Also most people who play video games are trash at video games and make the exact same mistakes over and over for hours. It is sad game developers have to baby people because of how bad they are (and how stupid they can be to). Do you know a majority of people on the planet are idiots? So of course easy games you get babied in and don’t have to adapt or think get more sales. Why do you think games that repeat the same stuff over and over like COD get so many sales. Because people don’t want to be challenged to adapt and improve.
      But seriously your first sentence makes no sense. Like you really just suggested my opinion controls how sales work. I’m one person. The only way your logic would work is if I had a massive following and could control who bought what.
      Like learn how a "If... Then" statement works. You start with "If you like difficult games" the next part of the sentence needs to be evolved with that statement. Like "If you like difficult games, than why do you play on easy all the time". Like you really just switched to a completely different topic that had nothing to do with your 1st statement.

    If Microsoft does let someone else make Crash Bandicoot 5 while Toys for Bob is focusing on Spyro 4, here are 3 things they should do that they most likely won't.
    Number 1: Keep the designs that Toys for Bob has made, maybe do some minor tweaks if they HAVE to.
    Number 2: Take inspiration from the many cancelled Crash Games, for my money it's the RPG elements from Crash Bandicoot Evolution, and the Open World of Crash Landed. Just make the world half the size of most open world games so it doesn't take players an eternity to 100% it.
    Number 3: Pull a Super Mario Bros. Wonder and get fucking WEIRD.

    I agree with pretty much all of these. I would also add...
    1. Improved difficulty balancing. At the risk of being called a "N00B who needs to git gud", but the balls to the wall difficulty of Crash 4 often gets in the way of the fun. Crash 5 should have its difficulty toned down JUST enough to have the game still be challenging, but also fun.
    2. A better artstyle. I know this more comes down to personal taste, but I am just NOT a fan of Crash 4's artstyle. Everyone looks too gangly or grotesque. Vicarious Visions and Beenox pretty much cracked the code in terms of updating the classic designs. Crash 5 should take some cues from those games.
    3. A hub world akin to Crash 2 and 3. I feel that the linier world map of Crash 4 was a bit too antiquated. Having a massive hub world to walk around in would make Crash 5 that much more complete.
    4. A different engine. The game shouldn't have Tencent's influence corrupting it, so it should be made with any engine that isn't the Unreal Engine,
    5. For the game NOT to be created by the monsters at Activision/Blizzard. That should be self-explanatory.

    All I ask for is to make gem hunting fun again. With no skull routes, no secret levels, and every level having out of screen boxes ruined it for me.
    Cosmetics are cool, but alone are not enough of a reward to do it. 4 colored gems are too few. Inverted and flashback levels do not replace the extra warp room/key locked levels. Don't use all the difficult sections in the main level, leave some of it for the skull route for better difficulty progression, and make it so just a few of them have boxes while the rest is just a challenge to the finish. And hidden boxes are okay as long it is only one or two levels per world, not all of them.

    All I want is a proper and a lore-filling story with a longer and less repetative gameplay. Maybe with a Spyro crossover.
