This album have become into a real gift for everybody, thanks to the quality of performance and the musicians involved. Paul always have known how to mix truly art with big productions and still keeping the business in mind. Simply, straight and lovely is the jazz and blues made by Paul and his gang!
Paul McCartney is tryin something new he always love to sing the band was just right when Paul sing he make you relax like a family I wish him luck congratulations Paul Joe Walsh and Clapton was very good the young lady was amazing on the piano
The musicians obviously make this piece. Their clear and concise notes, both singularly and collectively, bring a strength of composition that would enhance the vocal abilities of any singer!.
RE: The guy on his vocal shortcomings. They're only shortcomings if they take away from the music. He lovingly brings what he has to the songs, and that's all that matters. His vocals are completely engaging start to finish and the band is top notch.
I can count on one hand the number of McCartney songs I have not liked over the years. This type of music is fine an I understand why Paul does it, but I prefer Paul the Rocker. There is nothing better than his melodic bass runs he has done on the numerous songs he has written over the decades.
I was SO inspired by this album. Just gorgeous. The planets were aligned man. I recorded my own performance of "My Valentine" at my recent Christmas concert... I invite you to come listen! Google my name and it is one of the videos on my website. Again... thank you Sir Paul!
where can I download this excellent video. I looked on iTunes and there's the CD but I want the video, is it possible to get it the complete video? Thanks for the help!.
Sorry, but does anyone notice that McCartney simply cannot sing a lick of this music? If you want a comparison, find Johnny Hartman's rendition of "More I cannot Wish You." Or the very aging Jimmy Durante "Glory of Love." Both put McCartney's thin, struggling renderings in perspective. Once upon a time McCartney sang a lovely "Til There was You" but no longer does he flatter the standards. PM should go back to singing songs that disguise his vocal shortcomings.
Thanks Sir Paul, for all you represent on our generation and beyond....
Wow! That is so cool seeing John Pizzarelli playing guitar with the band. He's one of the best ever.
Thnx Paul ! You have made yet another superb album, and finally, an album full of both old and future classics ! Impressive !
Paul McCartney- not just my favorite Beatle. He's my favorite musician. Beautiful.
