The defense last season was decent but thanks to Les Miles it lacked depth. However, thanks to coach O, those gaping holes in the defensive depth have now been fixed. This upcoming's season, LSU's defense will be stellar, as it is loaded up to the gills, and unlike last year's defense, this defense will be very deep.
True. The defense can get great field position but the offense needs a good QB...which we haven't had in years, to capitalized on the turnovers the defense gets.

Let's ignore the fact that the National Championship game has shown the depth of their new powerhouse offense. Let's also ignore the fact that their depth is so stacked they couldn't even issue out their average scholarships. Their LB core is second to none and their big boys in the front are now seniors with 5 star sophomores and juniors now entering the rotation. Even their new wave of freshman are in a league of their own.
