He gave up a long TD to Bama, but that was because his coaches were literally talking to him from the sideline right when the ball was snapped, throwing him off his game. But you're yapping about a true freshman playing against seniors and juniors, and against their best WRs too.
The last time I saw a true freshman corner as good as him was Vernon Hargreaves, and he was NEVER a playmaker on the ball like Stingley is. Next year he's going to turn a couple of those pics into TDs. He was an early enrollee, and the staff wanted to play him in the bowl game, he was that good!
I'm calling it now, Stingley will be LSU's first 3 time consensus All American since Tommy Casanova.

@Andrew Cox What? This guy is equal or better than okudah as a true freshman hes 18. Hes the highest graded corner ever out of high school. Okudah is a top 10 pick for sure but stingley is unreal.
@Andrew Cox i agree okudah definiley has been outstanding but there is a 2-3 year age discrepancy stingley is one of the most athletic freaks ive seen at corner in highschool he ran a 4.3 40. I do think okudah has a bit of an edge over stingley because of experience. But stingley has only allowed a passer rating of 41 percent this year but its only his first year.
@Andrew Cox uh dude you do realize that Stingley was the highest graded cb last year right? He didn't allow a single catch against Clemson in the natty also🤦not to mention he's faced Higgins, Ross, Lamb, Smith, Collin Johnson, & etc yet still allowed a lower completion % than Okudah. If Stingley played the competition Okudah played, he'd rarely ever give up a catch. Not to mention he's more athletic & had better ball skills

Dude has better hands than 95% of college receivers. Lock down corner with great size, length, and speed. Once in a generation ball skills. Man if I was an nfl gm and had a number 1 pick, idgaf I'll take sting when he declares over everyone.
He has no ability to consistently cover the slant. Especially against a 2 or 3 step drop QB. Florida and a couple other schools exploited him on a play by play basis. Hes a cover 3 monster. Tampa 2 monster but he needs to improve on covering the slant in man. His island starts anywhere after 12-15yds.

I'm an LSU fan born and bred. Hes dynamic and yes he has time, I also believe he will be the best cornerback in LSU history and the number 1 rated player in his draft class and a top 5 pick. He will understand how to implement press coverage and get stronger at the point of attack.
