Ive been thinking hard about getting a scx24. They are really popular now a days. And btw that scattergun v2 chassis is wicked!! Seriously badass chassis
Thanks! I’ve actually managed to kill two scattergun chassis this week which was a shock. Both in 20ft+ falls though so no surprises there. Definitely get a scx24, even out the box playing on cushions in the living room it was fun
@@JustScalin jst ph2.0 connector. I've got one of my scx24's working pretty good right now (the other donated some parts). Stock esc and a 100 turn motor from an rc4wd 1/18 mini gelande. I've got the mini gelande transmission too, but, I haven't worked it into the mix yet. I like the torque, but, I want my wheel speed back. I am weighing motor/esc options at the moment. Rc4wd micro steel wagon wheels wrapped in 1.0 mudslingers, I will probly never change the wheels and tires. They have lots of weight and ground clearance and traction. This is all on a c10 chassis with deadbolt rear links and deadbolt lower front links replacing the c10 upper tri-link. I also have the deadbolt body on it. I still need to do some shock work, but, the stock shocks are doin ok. It's not perfect yet, but, it is gettin there. Y'all have a badass day 🤘
I was actually thinking of putting a brushless out runner on my WPL, definitely interested to see how you make out with it. What size of power system were you thinking? Gonna use your grease in the shocks idea though, copy cheat and steal. Great vid again
@@JustScalin I have a 2214 (2822) Surpass with a Castle Sidewinder Micro 2 in mine. And it is sooo good, all the torque you could ever need and almost the best low end control available. With a Tegu it would be even better.
You said you get to 1000 people you would go crazy with scx24 what happened jk jk I don't use my scx 24 much I'm focused on my scattergun frame and ryft build what do you think about getting a ryft I would love to see what you would do with it I'm locking all my diffs I have a tekin 2300kv and I plan on gearing it down some making it so it will crawl and hill climb

Yeah I modded mine too and it was great until a print issue meant the wheel wideners broke off. Got a better print since then

I use a smaller batteries in mine, made hell of a difference. 180mah 2s, get 20 minutes out of them
That’s a really good shout, I’ll look into those. Don’t suppose you know the connector name it uses? It’s a JST of some sort I guess?
@@JustScalin Just make a JST adapter from the connector of your current battery and put a JST plug on that.
The plug it uses is flimsy anyway.
