Nice work ! I've printed a few RC bodies out of PLA myself. They look really nice but are extremely fragile. Not really good for bashing lol. BTW you can use spray putty to fill the layer lines. Still needs a little sanding after but not as much.

Yeah I’ll look into it. Wanted something that would print the colour I wanted. Seems like that’s just impractical

@@JustScalin Also you can weld the parts using a soldering iron and a 3d pen. What I do is keep the parts in place with tape on the outside of the body and melt a groove along the seam inside the body with the soldering iron. Then fill that groove with the 3d pen (highest temperature setting), if that makes sense. I've never had a weld give up so far.

Brother I say this with all due respect. You kill me. I wished we lived closer so I could buy you a pint. Some of the things you say just crack me up. I know you're not trying to come off funny but to a yankee some of the words you use just give me the chuckles.
A little filler trick is super glue and baking soda. Just make sure you are in a well ventilated area.
    Cheers from California

Fantastic idea and concept, I know it's a crawler but my query is. How many times will it tumble before it shatters? Unless your hands are ready to catch the car.
How long will it the body last.

I printed the cab and hood in one direction and the rear in another to see which broke first. Turns out it was the rear, but no big deal looking to do a second version.
It’s nowhere near as safe as lexan but that makes me drive a lot more slowly and carefully which has really improved my skills. It had a few tumbles last weekend and held together fine

@@JustScalin so all in all great idea/concept for crawler bodies. We cant have successes without a few failures first. Awsome video and I'm glad it's working, so when you doing me a trx4 body haha.

I’ve actually got a spare one printed that’s a 3 piece that now has bolt mounts to hold the hood and cab together. If I can get PETG printing as fast as my PLA I’d be very happy. Probably going to start printing with a 1mm nozzle and using filler in future

@@JustScalin so it's a hollow/hollow body if that makes sense lol. Well definitely put the printer into a fill program cant imagine that stuff to weigh much. I personally am rooting for you on this one mate.
