In a few years and CD's with Michael Tate as lead singer, I'd like to see a NewsBoys tour with Tate doing his songs with NewsBoys and Peter Furler doing his songs with the NewsBoys. Think about it. :-D
yeah Furler has just stepped down from on stage performing and has chosen to go back to what he used to do for the Newsboys and continue as their producer and song writer
@darcw0lf I think he's got a right to do what he wants,besides,none of the other newsboys wrote any of their music,so it's kind of like peter furler is the newsboys.
lol peter tells everyone to jump and no one in the front jumps!! thats funny. great quality video though, looks like it was an amazing show. it was similar to their performance with michael and peter at Big Ticket Festival her in michigan back in june.
Um I hope yall Know its not his "last" performance....He is still writing songs...Still on The Cds...Just needed a break from touring!!Hes still a HUGE part of the band....always will be
@darcw0lf You seem to have an unrealistic expectation that because Newsboys are a Christian band, there should be no reason or cause for wanting to move in another direction, and thus Peter had no business leaving the band. Did you ever consider that the decision to move on was most likely prayerfully considered, and that he may in fact be following God's will? Even if that's not the case I consider it unwise to place someone on such a high pedestal that you won't allow them to be human.
Hero Zero but of the four of them, three have been around since they first started getting noticed, they were there for all the big ones like shine and breakfast, they may not be original but they are the newsboys
Completly dissapointed with peter, when he left the newsboys he stated "I’m looking forward to focusing on the band’s studio career and spending time in my own bed after many years in a tour bus and hundreds of thousands of miles on the road." Yea, so much for that, now hes going solo, in my opinion hes worse than toby mac breaking up dc talk, at least he was honost about it.

Saw newsboys united last night in WI. OMG 29 songs of the best show ever. Incredible. Got to see the best of everyone from this awesome band!
It is so weird not to have Peter Furler in the Newsboys -- I like Michael Tait... but I miss Peter Furler!!!
Peter Furler did reunite with the newsboys for newsboys united 2018-2021 and had a solo career form 2011-2017

I like him! I loved Peter and will miss him but I do like Michael also.
this is his final performance in NYC...yes, he still wries songs for the band, but as for performing with the "lead vocal" label...he is done.

his houston concert on the go tour was way better. His singing was bad. They sang it so well in houston that it sounded like the CD.
