Man, this brings me back to childhood. Thank you for the incredible, positive message. Newsboys has always been the GOAT of Christian music. In all seriousness though, I think it’s time for a DC Talk reunion, maybe a newsboys dc talk music tour.
Yep 1992 at the Creation music festival in Mount Union PA was my first time seeing them and DC Talk in concert. I remember the drums rising up and turning upside down. That was pretty wild. I also remember DC Talk came in on a helicopter
There were songs that made me realize Christian music could be fun. Reality, Breakfast, Big House, and Get Down by Audio Adrenaline. I have a Capn Crunch box signed by Newsboys in 2008. 😂
Just saw Newsboys on the Franklin Graham tour in York Pennsylvania last Sunday. What a great show and speech by Franklin Graham. On another note my very first time seeing DC Talk and The Newsboys was at Creation 92' near Mount Union PA at the Agape farm. Who knew back then that Michael Tait would one day be the new lead singer.
this is goin to be fun 1- we... oh he got it... that was fast. we believe. 2- Gods not dead! i got it before them! 3-shine! (classic:) got it 4- entertaining angels... guessed it... he was close behind 5-im not ashamed.. that was like a tie..lol.. 6-miiilion pieces... got it..i like this song lots
i saw newsboys at knott's berry farm. another venue in the park was showing whiteheart and my group wanted to see them. the group was like "newsboys? who they?" nothing against whiteheart, but i broke off from the group and got to see an EARLY lineup with the "terminator" dude (sean taylor?) that literally NEVER moved short of what was necessary to play the bass, and peter rode his tiltawhirl. this was circa 'boys will be boyz' when tait was still with dc talk and their 'free at last' album was still in studio.
What's up with that comment from Duncan about remembering the recording of Not Ashamed? He didn't join until Going Public, and didn't become the drummer until the next release.
Hang on... Duncan wasn't part of the band during the recording of Not Ashamed. His first foray into Newsboys music was as a keyboardist on the next album. So, what's he talking about here?
I thought they were going to play songs from their first three albums (Read all About It, He’ll is for Wimps, Boyz Will Be Boyz); I know that neither Tait nor Duncan would have been able to figure those out, but it would have been interesting to see them react to some of the earliest songs and be like, “Wow, we’ve come a long way since then!”
@@eastmaggie why did Danny duncan aka dunny Phillips was involved in newsboys not ashamed album 💿 I only saw him on the tour on RUclips in 1993 and going public record for keyboard and then percussion and then drum 🥁?

I got my picture taken with Duncan when we had a Pulse Crusade at Jamestown College and Valley City State University at the Jamestown Civic Center. There is just a little bit of a difference in height between Duncan and myself. I’m 6’6 and Duncan is not.
Yes. When dc talk, audio adrenaline and newsboys were all separate and making good music. That was a good time for Christian music. You had mxpx and tooth and nail making the harder stuff, Steven Curtis Chapman & Michael w smith making the softer more poppy stuff.
Horrible band ever since Tait took over. 🤦♂ They should've hired former American Idol contestant Deandre Brackensick, instead. The guy has charisma and actually sounds a bit like Peter Furler and Phil Joel ironically!
"Not Ashamed" is pure soul food... Love...

When they said old songs I thought they would be songs: “during and before Peter” lol

Audio Adrenaline! Yes!!! 😢 The nostalgia speaking
90s Newsboys and DC Talk were both great!
So fun watching this. Going to finally get to see on of those Ohio concerts that got canceled tonight in Dayton!!!!!

God told them they aren't done. Nobody comes back after a massive change within a band except News Boys

we did have Randy Stonehill in late 70s

Love you Always. 😘 💕
Love them!!!!!
Right. Come out swinging. Hand in hands. Walk the talk.
I’m not ashamed is the best song. Best album they made

I would love to do one of these sometime 😅
As shown on 4:48-5:10 wait duncan phillips was actually Danny duncan phillips.?
Hey, we were just getting started!
(Does Michael ever hold still? 😄)
Those were too easy! Should of tossed in a few that never made it radio.
Maybe some pre-Not Ashamed songs. Those woulda stumped even Duncan!

I thought the same thing. It would have been great to hear one of those!
As shown on 4:47 duncan phillips didn’t record that album not ashamed but I think 💭 🤔 🧐 he was on the nit ashamed album 💿 tour.
yeah when he said " I remember recording that album" I was like...ummm.... hahah

Shoulda done some more deep cuts!
They should have played something like “I Got Your Number.”
The John James era was the best
Absolutely not. When Peter Furler took over, the music got so much better
