The council should take a lead from Bury with its large outdoor market and busy town centre they manage to get people in.

Has anyone noticed how filthy the streets are ? The brickwork the roads the pavements all the litter and the general sense of a rotting society ?. This is what the breakdown of the family unit has done along with the mind boggling numbers of what seems to be incompatible incomes daily. “There’s no Gods and precious few heroes”

Then they brought family members and relations over once they were naturalised which lead to ghetto areas in our towns and cities. Quite true Charlie, I was once at Tockholes, just behind Darren tower on a crystal clear day. With binoculars, I could make out a mountain out at sea. At first |I thought it was part of the Lake District. It was dead in line with the stadium at Deepdale. Had a look at the map and blow me down, it was the Isle of man about 90 miles away.
Charlie, if you want to see another perfect example of Britain in decline, I recommend you visiting Peterlee and Horden in County Durham, I think you would find the Numbered Streets in Horden interesting also the Apollo Pavilion and the town centre in Peterlee are good places to catch photonic energy.

My late mum and dad had friends in a flat, which was pulled down, it was really nice inside, they had lovely dinner parties in the 60s people in Darwen were really friendly, shame the clowncils have ruined everything.most of the independent shops had decent goods in Darwen, everything seems to be cut price tat shops now. Wish I could go back in time.

Darwen's personality isnt the town itself its the people. The ones coming in are the ones destroying the town but if you know the right people in Darwen you can have a pretty good time. Most Darreners are pretty close with each other. Also Darwen isnt a city 😂😂, its a small town designed for people to live in during industrial times.

My wife’s family did a lot of work on the baths and other buildings. We had centre of town shops but I only have one rental left there.
