Saw a friend today who for the last year has been battling unexplained weightloss. Haven't seen her in a year so she noticed that I had dropped weight and heard I was "eating meat". Looks right at me and says be careful of your heart and liver! Her doctor told her to stop eating meat as it was affecting her liver...thinks meat fat is going to the liver and causing fatty liver. And all that cholesterol is going to your heart. Says she eats healthy too and meanwhile still can't keep weight on. I just said yeah ok thanks for that I feel great. Say she's the type that listens to big medical no sense challenging or trying to inform her.
Or shes eating high protein with low to no fat giving her rabbit starvation which is called protein poisoning, eating that way you will waste away unless you add fat.
Had silkworm pupae in Thailand recently 🙂 and locusts are on the list of acceptable foods after the flood in the Bible. I understand native Australians traditionally ate insects, e.g. witchety grubs and ants. 😊
Every couple months i am doing a cheat day feel terrible for a week or so ,that wakes me up how great i feel as a carnivore. There are millions of people they don't know what's the right food for them and suffer with health issues. So pity.
On my sixth week of carnivore and starting to feel a lot better. Tried a latte one day last week and felt like dog shit the next day. Wondering when I go on vacation at the end of next month will I be able to drink some alcohol and eat a few fries without getting sick

Europeans arnt as adapted to grain as Asian. Asian have been farming grains and been dependant for far longer. Europeans are dairy adapted and were mammoth hunters etc where as Asian are mostly dairy intolerant. (modern evolutionary theories ie the last 20k years). Also rice paddies create 2 x more methane than cows, and rotting vege waste 4 x more. Methane is 28 x more harmful than Co2 to the environment. Europeans original diet and likely African too is primarily animal based.
i went on keto and my hands and arms were in pain and started to feel strange when i went for a hike - took a pinch of potassium salt when i got home and it went away - amazing how electrolyte imbalance can affect you.

I use to find myself being attracted to thicker women. Maybe on a subconscious level I understood that I needed more fat??? Thank you Dr Chaffee for your splendid relationship advice.
I have made some pemmican. I dried mince beef in a food dehydrator, then put it in a food blender with the same weight of rendered fat. I had to melt the fat first so it would blend properly. Then i put it in a tray in the fridge, then cut it up into biscuits. I didn’t allow for the fat in the mince so it is a bit fatty, but it tastes fine. I tried strips of beef but it was too hard for the blender to pulverise
Could a person fry ground beef, drain and save the grease, and then dry and grind the beef, and then add fat back in with a blender? I'm looking for a good solution of what to carry in my semi when I leave for a week or so
Thank you so so much my life has changed immensely , I feel younger and healthier everyday. I didn’t know i could feel this good. Just grateful for everything you do 🙏❤️ question, i have started taking colostrum a few weeks ago and would love to hear your thoughts on it and if i should be taking it daily
That is so great to hear! I'm really glad that you are doing so much better. I think I answered this question on the live yesterday, but just in case you didn't see that, colostrum has a lot of great nutrients in it but if you're already on a high fat carnivore diet you'll get everything you need in there, so it's probably overkill. I tried to avoid dairy and milk in general, just because of the amount of carbohydrates and because it can also increase inflammation. I'm pretty sure colostrum has a lot less carbs than normal milk, but I'm fairly sure it still has some so something to think about. Really glad that you're doing so well though!
Please, Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet .(Sorry if i already posted before but i dont know what to do): I am now over 200 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else but 500-600g of COCKED meat(Chuck steak) plus 7-8 eggs in a day. All Divided in 2 meals) I am now 35 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-22%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss- HIT Workouts) I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition. I was a HEALHTY guy with NO chronic illnesses or health problems. I lost about 17 lbs(8kg) in the first 9 weeks (Mostly water) but since then I haven't been able to change my body composition. I have now gone more than 8 weeks without registering any body changes (weight loss, decrease in BF% or measurements like waist, legs, arms and neck ).In fact i have gained 2,5 lbs(1KG between weeks 10-12, but it might be just water. I still need to lose at least another 15lbs of fat to reach my goal of being below 15%BF. However, I don't see how the Carnivora Diet will facilitate this process. I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor have I changed my body composition significantly I am now over 12 weeks with no body fat lost. So I would like to ask a few question about the Carnivore diet: 1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnivore diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat) 2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you?(how many weeks or months) 3-Is the Carnivore diet effective for those who are aldreay healthy and just need to improve body composition? I am affraid this way of eating is too restrictive, for a healthy person, with no aditional benefit from any other whole food diet. PS: Most of my time as a Carnivore i have not experience most Carnivore benefits or lost any body fat. Also, Sorry for any grammar mistake, i am Brazilian and english is not my first language. Thank you for your attention!
Well I don't think AC is going to answer, he might be busy. I think he has some kind of community where you can get in and probably get a hold on him there, of course it means it costs money. It is individual how "quickly" carnivore will shred fat, it might take months or even over a year until your body has healed and starts melting the fat. I didn't have that much patience so I went with PSMF and that actually is shredding fat. Check Maria Emmerich and Dr Karl Goldkamp on YT, they have lots of info about it.
@@iheartcryptoverse2857 Not at all. You will never thrive on meat alone. Its a brain wash job being done now by meat agents like Chaffee Baker and others. This is bad for you that is bad for you. Funny someone forgot to tell me you cannot live without meat. I havent eaten meat since 1999. And im stronger than I was then at 61. You people need to wake up.
Hi Anthony. Why are there so many studies showing that eating meat (especially fatty meat) promotes prostate cancer growth? Surely this is a thing effecting most older men in the western world. Cheers!
will half a dozen organic pasture raised eggs with lots of organic A2/A2 grassfed butter and some homemade jello made with 1 tbsp of grassfed and finished beef gelatin daily be enough for someone who isn't really interested in eating a lot?
That would depend on your size and your current health condition. You may be missing something you need from meat too. Not sure about that. Maybe some beef liver every other day too… anything is better than the SAD diet though.
Are you "interested" in eating "enough" to not be emaciated or dead? If your answer is yes, then the answer to your question is no. 549 calories, and 42 grams of protein per day is definitely NOT anywhere close to enough. Check into a Basal Metabolic Rate calculator...free online. This will give you an estimate of the minimum that you would need just to sit on the couch and stay alive. You can add to that for higher activity levels. Better yet, get yourself a dexascan...which will tell you this plus a whole lot more. it is very inexpensive. I got mine from BodySpec.
i take a shot of vinegar with mother in water when locking up with cramps, they go away within 20 seconds. I dont go to a magnesium supplement to unlock me. I Train martial arts outdoors in Florida for 5 hours a day. Its a must for me, along with a liquid IV packet a day.
I make pemmican. It’s simple to make but time-consuming. I recommend eye of round for the meat (because low in fat, so it will desiccate better) and tallow for the fat as the good doctor said. Have your butcher freeze the meat and slice it as thin as possible. Makes it easier to dry out. When it snaps instead of bending, it’s ready to grind. That’s the hardest part for me because I haven’t found the proper appliance-I use a blender but it’s not ideal. It used to be made by the native tribes’ women. It took a long time and elbow grease to grind it down. I welcome suggestions for an appliance. The tallow is easy to make, ask your butcher to grind fat trimmings. Just make sure not to over-render it. Pemmican is my potential prepper/survival food. Perfect for camping. Needs no refrigeration. I do add salt.
Hi Dr Chaffy, What do you know about Neu5Gc in red meat? Dr Gundry was talking about it on Gary Brecka’s Ultimate Human podcast. Me being a Lion diet follower, I found it a bit worrying, with the cancer danger and all… Could you perhaps delve deeper into this and make a video about it?
Dr. Chaffee, thanks for your video. Very informative as usual. Hope you read this one and maybe give me a small advice. I’m in some scene your colleague, but I’m not a doctor. I am preaching keto diets for about 15 years. I’m 46 and 20 years on different variations of keto , last five years on carnivore. I am super lean with a perfect physique. And I’m a classic hyper responder: my LDL is very high, my HDL is also high, but my triglycerides are very low. And last week I was diagnosed arthrosclerosis, with stenosis of up to 55%!!! Which shocked me cause I was preaching low carb diets for about last decade. For last 10 years, I was abusing steroids and just half a year off. Hope that was the firestarter of the inflammation which led to atherosclerosis, otherwise I don’t know what to do cause I don’t wanna introduce any carbs to my diet. I feel so great on carnivore. I need some support from my medical doctor with proper views and huge experience like yours. It’s so hard to find a physician nowadays who won’t start conversation with lowering your HDL and putting your on statins. I need to find a proper strategy for this case in order to cure and reverse this disease. Preferably without quitting carnivore. I don’t know what I’m more confused about , the failure of my views or the risk of death 😂
Autistic children DO go undiagnosed for decades though. They get labelled as disobedient, or as inflexible, or as weird. ADHD, similar thing. Kids get lavelled as trouble makers, or lazy, or disruptive. The topic is a lot more nuanced than Dr Chaffee presents it here.
The autistic kids I see in grocery stores, the beach and other places are often seriously dysfunctional. They are seriously damaged and do not function like a normal child at all. I was in Walmart one night (I dont go there often) and saw 2 in the store. Then I left and went to TJ max and saw another one in that store. Saw 3 seriously damaged kids in 1 night. Crazy.

Just heard Puka Nacua, star rookie (2nd yr coming up) on the LA Rams just said he really only eats red meat! Sports illustrated said he does eat some pineapple/fruit, but that’s not what he said today! Definitely no veg
Dr. Chaffee, I just started carnivore and bought my first 60 pounds of loin like in you videos. Regarding the salting process, how long can I leave the salted steak in the frig before it over ages? In other words if I salt 8 thick steaks at same time what happens to the eighth steak after eight days of being salted? Would I be better off leaving them on the tray and salting each steak one or two days before I plan to eat it?
@anthony Chaffee Tickbite red meat allergies. Is it curable? What to do? Ive seen the benefits of carnivore in lba, but cannot stomach, digest the meats? Help??
Most people would not need to worry about this problem . . If they ate a surplus of butter, it would probably just make them pass it out in their stools! Unlikely to make them put on much fat! If the butter tastes good, eat it.
I really want to go 100% carnivore but have only lasted like 10 days because of bad constipation and bloating! I eat ground beef 20% fat 1400gram a day I am a tall guy and trains gym! So I get like 235g protein and 272g fat? Do I need a lot more fat then ? 😳
You need 1+ grams of protein per body weight, then double that for fat, at least 80% of what your eating will be fat. So if your constipated and bloated then your not eating enough fat, fat will soften your stool, to much fat and you may get loose stool or even diarrhea, so when you reach the close to loose stool stick to that, and then monitor your energy.
The majority of cropland in the US is already used to feed livestock. Currently the average American consumes roughly 225lbs of meat annually. Say the average person needs 2000 calories a day … that’s 730,000 calories per person annually … say the average pound of meat has 1000 calories .. that would mean an increase to 730 pounds of meat a year per person. That’s roughly a 3.25 times increase. Where exactly would all this extra land for feeding these animals come from? I could understand if we were nomads and small tribes of people but we don’t live in those times, the US population is 100’s of millions and climbing … globally billions. Maybe we should be talking about educating people on the impacts of having more than a couple kids per couple? I feel what you’re promoting if it were to take off would drive the price of meat through the ceiling, cause food/water shortages not to mention the environmental impacts. How is this a sustainable practice?
Someone have heard about the diet according to the blood group? Group "O" seems to be perfectly adapted to meat because it existed before the agriculture If anyone know something I'll be glad to read
Eat Right For Your Blood Type is a book by Dr D'Damo I started with that as I was given it by a friend. I types are said to be the original hunter gatherers, A apparently developed out of the agricultural revolution way back when. It helped me at first, I then went on to do more research and discovered Ken Berry, Eric Berg, Robert Lustig, Low Carb Down Under, Darren Schmidt, Zoe Harcome, David Unwin, Paul Saladino, Anthony Chaffee and more
@@HartleyHare-e1g Yeah! I've started with Saladino's animal based cause I used to have carb addiction and then moved to carnivore, I'm group "O" so adapted fully to meat. But in his book I just saw that he recommended lean meat, which I disagree
@@JuVPower I tend to gravitate more towards the fatty meat, fat is more satiating and seems to convert to usable energy more efficiently. Protein converts to glucose too, so according to Thomas Delauer different amounts for different age groups based on whether male/female.
SAD-Standard American Diet is so sad about junk food that even engaging a carnivore diet is seen as an improvement !!! Still, after reaching that 40% obesity rate in the US a major shift is necessary. Anyway it's very difficult to beat the benefits from a Med style a bit shifted to plants.
Been Carnivore for 6 months now. I have familial hypercholesterolemia. I cannot find a Dr that doesnt want to put me on statins. They all tell me I am goin to die if I dont. I saw my own mother die from a heart attack after years of medication that affected her cognition very badly. How would i know from my test numbers if carnivore is working for me and whay would be the best tests to do?

In another video he said that even though from all plant fats it‘s the best choice because it‘s saturated, it‘s still not good because it contains plant sterols. Just stick to butter, ghee, tallow and lard.
What's the source podcast? I don't see it in the description or a pinned comment. I'd like to also listen to the original and check out the guys you are talking with.
I've eaten crickets and these larvae things in Thailand, they're actually yummy if you can get over it haha, they're well seasoned and they're very common, they have street stalls with loads of deep fried insects to choose from. I even had a scorpion once, now that was disgusting 😆
Hello Anthony I really like your Videos. You with you diet talk about meat, salt and water. I would appreciate if you covered raw meat vs cooked meat and also covering that regular salt is very harmful due to fluorides etc. Himalayan untouched salt is much better
? I've been on carnivore for 2 months it's been great but my cholesterol has shot up too 7.8 my doctor is trying to put me on lipitol to bring it down, what should I do? I do get tightness in the chest regularly.
Hi Dr Chaffee, new to carnivore and was wondering how you take your fats in and what type if you only eat once per day untill you are satiated - do you take fats in during the day or all at once with your only meal ? I’m currently using grass fed Kerry gold butter and coconut oil ‘pure c8 mct oil’ during the day, but i heard it’s best to take your fats in with your food ? Thanks for all your advice and keep up the great work 👍
The today vegan will argue about the caveman eating a salad by saying.. Well we are smarter now, so we know what is better for us. You’d have to get much more detailed on information and before you can throw more facts at them, they’ve already stopped listening.
A question about autism: isn't it also true there is a strong correlation (because who will get funded to proof causation 😉) with (childhood) vaccinations? And if so, can parents help their children heal (part of) the damage by putting them on a meatheavy ketogenic diet?
No. Studies have shown that the total amount of antigen from vaccines received during the first two years of life was the same between children with ASD and those that did not have ASD. Ref: Increasing exposure to antibody-stimulating proteins and polysaccharides in vaccines is not associated with risk of autism ( J Pediatr. 2013 Aug)
"Your Brain NEEDS The Animal Fat" is true but we have to say that the animals are fatty fish, not cows. What Standard American Diet lacks a lot and brain needs is DHA type Omega 3 fats, that are found in fatty fish.
Also found in significant quantities within properly fed beef. Cows get sick when you feed them nothing but grain too, free-range grass fed cows have a solid DHA profile, although admittedly not quite as high as fish.
@@epsilonnot8173 Not a solid profile because total omega 3 content in ground beef is well lower than 0.1g per 100gr of meat, and only a tiny fraction will be DHA. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8728510/ Given the too high n-6 vs n-3 intake in the Standard American Diet relying in high intake of ground beef is just a crash-course. A healthier aproach is adopting some mediterranean style, relatively low in in meat with frequent fatty fish intake.

She needs to perhaps screen for serious diseases, because unexplained weightloss is not normal at all.
Or she's on dope
It might be too much green, liberal kool-aid 😊
Or shes eating high protein with low to no fat giving her rabbit starvation which is called
protein poisoning, eating that way you will waste away unless you add fat.

Animal fats more nutrient dense than plant fats
Europeans arnt as adapted to grain as Asian. Asian have been farming grains and been dependant for far longer. Europeans are dairy adapted and were mammoth hunters etc where as Asian are mostly dairy intolerant. (modern evolutionary theories ie the last 20k years).
Also rice paddies create 2 x more methane than cows, and rotting vege waste 4 x more. Methane is 28 x more harmful than Co2 to the environment.
Europeans original diet and likely African too is primarily animal based.

Thank you for sharing your experience making it.
Could a person fry ground beef, drain and save the grease, and then dry and grind the beef, and then add fat back in with a blender?

Please, Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet .(Sorry if i already posted before but i dont know what to do):
I am now over 200 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else but 500-600g of COCKED meat(Chuck steak) plus 7-8 eggs in a day. All Divided in 2 meals) I am now 35 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-22%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss- HIT Workouts)
I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition.
I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor have I changed my body composition significantly
I am now over 12 weeks with no body fat lost.
So I would like to ask a few question about the Carnivore diet:
1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnivore diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat)
2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you?(how many weeks or months)
3-Is the Carnivore diet effective for those who are aldreay healthy and just need to improve body composition?
Check Maria Emmerich and Dr Karl Goldkamp on YT, they have lots of info about it.

will half a dozen organic pasture raised eggs with lots of organic A2/A2 grassfed butter and some homemade jello made with 1 tbsp of grassfed and finished beef gelatin daily be enough for someone who isn't really interested in eating a lot?
That would depend on your size and your current health condition. You may be missing something you need from meat too. Not sure about that. Maybe some beef liver every other day too… anything is better than the SAD diet though.
Where does the "not interested in eating a lot" come from? Is it a program you learned from society, growing up or something else?
Are you "interested" in eating "enough" to not be emaciated or dead? If your answer is yes, then the answer to your question is no. 549 calories, and 42 grams of protein per day is definitely NOT anywhere close to enough. Check into a Basal Metabolic Rate calculator...free online. This will give you an estimate of the minimum that you would need just to sit on the couch and stay alive. You can add to that for higher activity levels. Better yet, get yourself a dexascan...which will tell you this plus a whole lot more. it is very inexpensive. I got mine from BodySpec.

Have you tried the Thermomix? Very powerful and will probably do the job well. Give it a go! Good luck. 😄

Hi Dr Chaffy,
What do you know about Neu5Gc in red meat?
Dr Gundry was talking about it on Gary Brecka’s Ultimate Human podcast.
Me being a Lion diet follower, I found it a bit worrying, with the cancer danger and all…
Could you perhaps delve deeper into this and make a video about it?
Dr. Chaffee, carnivore increased my HA1c and reduced my eGFR.
Pemmican has a shelf-life of *Decades!!!
The guy who invented the iPhone was Jonny Ives, like all other investors is British.
There are two particularly important fatty acids - eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
Crazy.

How much butter is too much on this diet if you’re trying to lose weight?
Most people would not need to worry about this problem . . If they ate a surplus of butter, it would probably just make them pass it out in their stools! Unlikely to make them put on much fat! If the butter tastes good, eat it.

You need 1+ grams of protein per body weight, then double that for fat, at least 80% of what your eating will
be fat. So if your constipated and bloated then your not eating enough fat, fat will soften your stool,
to much fat and you may get loose stool or even diarrhea, so when you reach the close to loose stool
stick to that, and then monitor your energy.
Who are you talking to??
The more numerous something is, the less you should eat it.
