I’ve worn this fragrance since it came out in 2011. Wore and still wear the ‘77 Oscar before that. I’m a guy, but I couldn’t care less about gender and fragrance marketing. I use what I like, and these two Oscars have always been comforting to me. Love the powdery notes in them. Just classic perfumery that is getting harder to find now days. Really enjoyed your review.
I think classic and high quality fragrance are unisex per se. I also wear men perfumes like Noir de Noir or Habit Rouge. They suit me very well and are feminine on my skin. Oscar is unisex. Beautiful 😍
yep any perfume is unisex if it suits you. I was at the theatre once and I swear a man walked past me wearing one of my favourites, Sublime by Jean Patou. Good on him for having good taste and wearing such a beautiful scent.
@ Ruth I thought Volupte was aquatic, fresh and ozonic ? I didn't like Volupte, because I don't like aquatic. I hope that Esprit is more like Arpege or Boucheron Boucheron? I haven't smelled Esprit yet
I bought this perfume after watching your review. I love powdery perfumes and am really enjoying it. It has become one of my favorites to wear before bedtime. There’s something very comforting about it. Thank you for your review!
The original Oscar from the 70s was my favourite and signature perfume for many years. Later versions were not quite the same, until this Esprit was released, and it's closer to the original Oscar than the current Oscar edt. I can tell you many times I was complimented by men and asked what I was wearing when wearing Oscar. Yes both of them are like cousins to No.5 by Chanel and also the original Le Dix by Balenciaga (which has a wonderful violet note) and also the original L'Interdit by Givenchy, in the red box, which I still have. Wonderful soapy floral aldehydes.
Thank you! I enjoyed this video very much. I was thinking about purchasing this fragrance for a long time. I think I was gifted a small bottle of this in the late 70’s or early 80’s but don’t remember exactly what it smelled like but I liked it. It was a like rather than a love but I think I’ll purchase a small bottle. It seems like it was a clean white floral. I loved getting your first impression. “Oo La La! “ I’d love to know how long it lasts in the skin. 💝
Hello Chris yes clean floral… very floral. Still medium longevity projection but this perfume remains for hours on my skin. Considering the price I was positively surprised. Again every skin is different
This fragrance is NOT NEW… it’s My Fav and I’ve been wearing it since 2011/12 (when I sold fine jewelry at Belk- which is a department store in SE USA)… I’m just getting into trying new things- it is the ONLY fragrance I’ve worn for all of these years. It’s difficult to find so I purchase it in BULK in the 6.7oz and I get tons of compliments and it’s my signature scent.
@@neurica7812 you can't get edt in this, as far as I know. I have the edp, and I think this was a typo or mistake. As you said it says edp on the box. I have never seen the edt. I think it was an error that has remained unaddressed. Hope that helps. It's very beautiful

I would also recommend to you Volupte by Oscar de la Renta, similar to Espirit but more yellow flowers & peach. Just gorgeous
Yes I did a review about this one. I really like it

I love this one and I finished my last bottle…. On my list with First!
Yes I was pleasantly surprised with this one as well, it's a feminine classic and a long lasting perfume for me!😊
Powdery and flowery. I like this perfume for work or casual everyday
@@Aliceinparisofficial Perfect for work as it is not overbearing but I get little whiffs of this subtle perfume for hours ☺️
One of my favourites. Incredible longevity. My husband likes the one which is nice because I will be wearing this a lot.
Beautiful perfume. Classy wifey vibe
I love it so much I bought a backup bottle ☺️

My skin eats fragrances but not this one. Worth a try, Chris. :)

It is part of my bedtime routine. It is gorgeous!
Love this perfume so much !
I bought this perfume today at TJ Maxx for $24.99. I really like it. It’s soft and feminine. I’m going to wear it to church tomorrow.
it's a great soft powdery perfume
Oh my God! I need this!
Hi Alice, I am not crazy about the original Oscar De La Renta, but love both Number 5 and L'heure Bleu Should I sill consider getting this one?
Hello same for me but esprit d’oscar is so much better ! Great dupe for a luxury Grossmith perfume. It really smells amazing
the current Oscar is not the same as the original 70s release and Esprit d'Oscar is better and closer to the original Oscar
I love this one, too. It's what I wanted from Après l'Ondée
Never try l’ondée but I want to get this one. Looks ultra powdery
Thank you that you have a channel! 🥰
You are right Esprit d'Oscar does have a note that is like L'Heure Bleue
😍 lovely!!! I love how you enjoy and describe the scent 👏
Have you tried Balenciaga Paris EDP 2009? You might like it as well. 😎
I think she will too, it's the nearest thing to their original Le Dix and like that one has a wonderful violet note.
Thanks for lovely review. I have it and love it.

My top is coming from Zara
and is there much difference with the EDT? I only find that one and I want this perfume
there is only the edt. in this video I present the edt. it stays very well and as long lasting as a edp version
@@Aliceinparisofficial but the box says EDP ...
