They didn't my friend, NASA lost their backup. Because Apollo 11 was the first attempt no-one could guarantee that the live TV broadcast to the world would work, so NASA recorded a backup onto telemetry magnetic tapes just in case TV studios around the world couldn't watch it live. However the broadcast was a success, the whole world watched the 'moonwalk' live and hence the broadcast was recorded by TV studios all over the world, and so NASA's backup copy was redundant, it wasn't needed and hence it was eventually lost. So all that was 'lost' was NASA's backup copy of the same TV footage that we've all seen already :-|

The only clip was was sus in my mind was the "phasing" going around the corner. It could just be a shutter issue though as I've seen a similar effect in supposed ghost and ufo clips. Does anyone know the context of the clip? Why are they talking about NASA to begin with and who are they talking too?

@@JRESHOW The stuffed animal was a cute touch to bring in Paxi for the kids watching that excellent video about freefall and gravitational forces. If you watch the entire video with those two astronauts, you will see the left one has a bad case of "what do I do with my hands" all through the video. I'm assuming the "string yank" refers to that group interview during the final shuttle mission where the one guy tries to stabilize his partner's spin and his pinkie grabs his pocket.
This guy's a hero in my opinion, straight up.
