That's Microsoft's turf. And ever since that time Microsoft has set out to remove what they see as an intruder on their business.

Sony will be the odd Conglomerate out in all of this. Apple already stole their music market. Samsung rules the electronics market. All they have left is PlayStation mainly. And being 3rd Party focused, this is a crippling move to their business model.
Nintendo is immune to it because they can self-supply from the 1st & 2nd Party.
Nintendo saw it all coming which explains their moves with the "graphics race" among other things the past 20 or so years.
End result of all of this is FURTHER CONSOLIDATION of precious resources for Sony as they continue to be dismantled.
That means expect more convenient "scandals" to come out about Michael Jackson in order to weaken his grip on his own MASTERS. The mighty Mijac Music catalog.
