I think another good video would be an explanation of what players can do with the exotic they get that is all around shit in stats :D It's not always clear at the blueprint merchant about which guns you own can have alternates crafted, etc.
Yeah the game floods you with loot so that'd be a good idea to talk about how to manage it all. You kind of have to watch a lot of guides and play a lot to start picking up all that info.

Thanks for watching dude. The targeted loot map resets daily and sometimes there are armor sets and weapon types that aren't on the map for that day. If this happens then you should farm The Summit because you can choose your targeted loot for that activity. So travel to The Summit, then open your targeted loot map, choose what you want to farm from the gear list, and profit.
i need someone to farm with to help me get some gear lol, i have a dps build that is not finished but it is there at least, but i want a decent skill build for level grinding (i need a guide for new players like me) and no one makes guides that are easy to follow :c even this one was super confusing

Did not get too deep into builds when first playing Division 2 way back. Now returning to the game because I have more time on my hands and needed to get up to speed on the fundamentals of build creation. These are some solid tips that helped. Thanks. It’s honestly mind blowing how much content happens after the first 1-30 levels on the game. I finally got to wt5 and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed, so this video has been extremely helpful and pretty essential to anyone like me who is now getting into the meat of the game
Yup, it's like starting a totally different game once you beat the campaign. There's a lot to learn but just enjoy the game and start putting together some basic builds. You'll learn a lot by just playing the game and trying different weapon, skills, gear sets, etc.
Trouble is in the very early stages of the game when you have little gear you are cut down all the time in attempting to complete the missions, to get the kit. The A.I clearly fails to reduce it's ability to allow you to survive, and player death is far to often.
I have been playing the game for a year and have just now started focusing on gear sets and building kits for specific roles. Thanks for this outstanding video!!

Quick question let's say you're world tier 1 or 2 and you have a build going and you get armor sets, but by the time you're will tier 5 can you keep upgrading that armor or is it worthless at world tier 5 and you need to re farm it again?? Or do you wait till level 40 to get a build going? having trouble figuring all this out.
Your current gear will be worthless when you move to the next World Tier because each one gives you higher gear score loot, and you need to hit a certain gear score before you can unlock the next WT. I wouldn't even worry about builds until you're at WT 5.

the end game in this game is great man, there's always something to do or work towards. Even running the same activity with a different build makes it a totally different experience which is awesome.

Yeah, you have to be at World Tier 5 or Level 40. If you're still going through the story and world tiers then builds aren't too important, just keep using gear with higher gear score.
Great video. I've been all over the map, beaten the main story, and have a Gear Score I think in the mid 200's. I have yet to seen an Exotic or Green gear set piece. Is there a trick to getting the greens and exotics? Also, I've tried replaying Black Tusk Invaded missions and strongholds on Hard and still nothing is dropping. For whatever reason, it won't let me pick a Difficulty higher than Hard. How do you get Heroic and Legendary to possibly get better loot to drop? I get high end armor and guns all the time but they never have stats higher than like +4% weapon damage or whatever. It's getting old haha.
You need to keep raising your gear score probably. Always use the highest gear score items, once your score is high enough you'll move onto the next world tier. For now you're reliant on rng to drop the gear you need but once you hit world tier 5 you'll be able to use the targeted loot map that I showed in the video.
Didn't realize it's based on the higher gear score. That's a shame I have to do that bc most of what's dropped improves stuff like repair skills and garbage stuff I don't care about. They should have better stuff at all levels. Thanks for the reply!

I know i did the right thing selling the blue and purple items haha now i am getting yellow items. I reached lvl30 solo now and watching some tips. Thanks for the tips about suggested loots. Now i'll start looking for gear sets.
Find the pierces first then calibrate them got it, I want a face tank, I already have a Scorpio and 4 piece bulwark. I also have this exotic chest piece I forget what it’s called.
It does, the average stats on weapons and armor will be higher at every difficulty. That’s why you should try to get up to Heroic activities so you can start getting better gear and make really strong builds.
Yellow attributes are focused on utility or your skills. They’ll do things like decrease skill cooldowns, increase skill strength, or buff your status affects damage.

hey! All info i have ever found is about the end game armor stuff but i want to know, while leveling up in the game. Can you tell me this one thing that i i fail to find info about? some armor brands always boost a specific weapon's bonus; say D&H brand always boost pistols :" 15% something for pistol damage" and the armor set's second bonus is " 15% stability" and third bonus is "15% accuracy" so, are the second and third bonuses are for the pistol's accuracy and stability? or for all weapons?
All weapons. That’s why you see players use LMG gloves on non LMG builds, because they provide dmg to armor, or Rifle knee pads on non Rifle builds, because they provide dmg to targets who are out of cover.
I can say I am no longer beginner player in this game but I still manage to find myself so lost when it comes to builds, feeling like a headless chicken, everything feels so over-mega-whelming. Granted, this video didn't give me specific builds and what not but it turns out it answered some questions for me that I never really bothered to ask myself and explain to myself, which now led me to have +5% more understanding of the mechanics :) Thank you.
There’s just a lot to learn in this game. Once you start making different types of builds then you’ll be able to recognize talents and attributes that benefit a specific build or play style. I think 30 is the max level if you don't have the WONY dlc, level 40 is the max with the dlc. You'll have to grind through the 5 World Tiers if you don't have the dlc, so do the invaded missions to get higher gear score weapons and armor.
Lol thanks for explaining what repair skills mean, its the skills that heal ur armor. I admit it, i was a bit stupid to think that it regenerates your turret or your drone health automatically ( since it's called repair skills , so it just repairs ur skills lol ). I had no idea it also affects armor healing , which explains why my healing hive was healing me slowly lol. Now that i understood it's for the healer build, i can get rid of it in the recalibration Library for damage skill attributes. You see i am going for a skill damage build, I am at world tier 2, i am trying to remain at skill tier 5 , without affecting my weapon damage too much. My idea is that i am trying to increase critical hit chance attribute by transferring them in my skill tier gear in the recalibration station. What do u think, is that a good idea for a build ? Or am I doing it the wrong way ? Basically i want to have decent armor, but still be able to get critical hits to boost damage, but at the same time still be able to inflict high skill damage using my sniper turret and the seeker mine at skill tier 5 . I am also increasing explosive damage by matching brand sets. What do u think ? Any tips ?
Basically if you’re making a skill damage build then you don’t want any red attributes on your armor pieces. Go skill tier as your core attribute on all armor pieces and use brand sets that will increase skill damage, skill haste, and skill duration. It’s not worth having armor in a skill build because you’d be giving up too much damage. Also make sure you have talents on your chest and backpack that either increase skill damage or boosts your weapon damage when you get a skill kill. There’s a ton more so keep doing research and try different builds, eventually it’ll start to make sense.
Wait until you've beaten the story, level 30 if you have the base game or level 40 if you have the WONY dlc. Just keep using higher level gear for now. Plus you can't use the Targeted Loot map until World Tier 5 anyway.

Thanks dude! Make sure to learn about the Recalibration Library, it kind of changed how Recalibration works. I did the same, took 9 months off and I've been really enjoying the game since I started playing again.
I'm trying to get my healing done and my reviver hive to heal me faster. Should I focus on 'repair skills' or 'incoming healing' or a combination of both?
You should probably try to get more skill tiers in your loadout first, that'll have a greater impact on your healing ability. I would go with whichever one gives you the bigger healing % gain. Also consider what attributes or talents you have to sacrifice to add more healing to your loadout. If you have an attribute or talent that doesn't contribute to damage, healing, or your skills then swap it out. Keep a lookout for skill efficiency, this will increase your healing rate for both skills.

Never have I seen a tutorial video that is simple to follpw and straight to the point. Coming back to this game after about a year, this guide helped me remember a lot. Well deserved sub for this.
I thought it was hard making a build because of how I thought I would have to grind my ass off and I worried the build would be obsolute within minutes. But I usually juggle activities. So thank you for this.
Ive played both divisions very casually and never got into high tier end game stuff like builds and exotic loot and what not. Ive recently hopped back into this game and im essentially trying my best to learn and understand it. Also my personal life has made finding the time to play very very difficult which sucks. But ive been desperately trying to grind whenever I do have time. Ive recently restarted back to zero as ive switched to PC so hopefully this knowledge will help once I catch up to my xbox account.
There's a lot to learn but you'll pick up a lot by just playing the game. It helps that there's an endless amount of guides on RUclips as well. I swapped from Xbox to PC a few years back so I feel your pain lol.

Thanks dude! Enjoy playing through the story and just learn the game for now. The game really opens up once you beat the story. That's when you can start making really strong builds and you get some awesome gear.
If you’re not at the “end game” then you may not have access to it yet. If you don’t have the DLC I think you need to get to world tier 5 before you can get the targeted loot map. This is how it was when the game released but it may have changed. Are you still going through the campaign or world tiers?

It is. Most people get too technical with it so you loose what there talking about.
I think it’s also important to mention that the targeted loot feature only becomes available for the map after you get past world tier 5.

Hey Friend I'm level 31 but I get only greens and whites for drops, does anybody know why that is??
Keep leveling up, if you have the Warlords dlc then you need to hit level 40, that when you reach the "end game."

Just select a piece of gear in your inventory then hit "modify", then you can see all your mods that you can use on that armor piece or weapon.

I admit it, i was a bit stupid to think that it regenerates your turret or your drone health automatically ( since it's called repair skills , so it just repairs ur skills lol ). I had no idea it also affects armor healing , which explains why my healing hive was healing me slowly lol.
Now that i understood it's for the healer build, i can get rid of it in the recalibration Library for damage skill attributes. You see i am going for a skill damage build, I am at world tier 2, i am trying to remain at skill tier 5 , without affecting my weapon damage too much. My idea is that i am trying to increase critical hit chance attribute by transferring them in my skill tier gear in the recalibration station. What do u think, is that a good idea for a build ? Or am I doing it the wrong way ? Basically i want to have decent armor, but still be able to get critical hits to boost damage, but at the same time still be able to inflict high skill damage using my sniper turret and the seeker mine at skill tier 5 . I am also increasing explosive damage by matching brand sets. What do u think ? Any tips ?
Basically if you’re making a skill damage build then you don’t want any red attributes on your armor pieces. Go skill tier as your core attribute on all armor pieces and use brand sets that will increase skill damage, skill haste, and skill duration. It’s not worth having armor in a skill build because you’d be giving up too much damage. Also make sure you have talents on your chest and backpack that either increase skill damage or boosts your weapon damage when you get a skill kill. There’s a ton more so keep doing research and try different builds, eventually it’ll start to make sense.

At what level should I start grinding gear? Because I usually sell everything and go with the better level gear / weapons. Only at level 15 btw
Wait until you've beaten the story, level 30 if you have the base game or level 40 if you have the WONY dlc. Just keep using higher level gear for now. Plus you can't use the Targeted Loot map until World Tier 5 anyway.

I'm trying to get my healing done and my reviver hive to heal me faster. Should I focus on 'repair skills' or 'incoming healing' or a combination of both?
You should probably try to get more skill tiers in your loadout first, that'll have a greater impact on your healing ability. I would go with whichever one gives you the bigger healing % gain. Also consider what attributes or talents you have to sacrifice to add more healing to your loadout. If you have an attribute or talent that doesn't contribute to damage, healing, or your skills then swap it out. Keep a lookout for skill efficiency, this will increase your healing rate for both skills.

You're welcome dude. Once you hit World Tier 5 and get access to the Targeted Loot Map then farming is pretty easy. Good luck with the drops.

Ive played both divisions very casually and never got into high tier end game stuff like builds and exotic loot and what not. Ive recently hopped back into this game and im essentially trying my best to learn and understand it. Also my personal life has made finding the time to play very very difficult which sucks. But ive been desperately trying to grind whenever I do have time. Ive recently restarted back to zero as ive switched to PC so hopefully this knowledge will help once I catch up to my xbox account.
There's a lot to learn but you'll pick up a lot by just playing the game. It helps that there's an endless amount of guides on RUclips as well. I swapped from Xbox to PC a few years back so I feel your pain lol.

Thanks dude! Enjoy playing through the story and just learn the game for now. The game really opens up once you beat the story. That's when you can start making really strong builds and you get some awesome gear.

Hi i'm on console and the targeted loot map option isn't there what's wrong?
If you’re not at the “end game” then you may not have access to it yet. If you don’t have the DLC I think you need to get to world tier 5 before you can get the targeted loot map. This is how it was when the game released but it may have changed. Are you still going through the campaign or world tiers?
