    I like the idea of using 4th character as resource mule. I usually run it on Monday, then use the Tuesday reset for weekly requisition (extra exotics). It also helps to have quick access to checkpoints and the fast salvage / level ups. Good video, thanks for sharing.

    I would add the lvl 1 grey gear you start with, I favorite that stuff and make a load out for it so that when done, I re-equip that selling / deconstructing any other non level 40 gear I used along the way for when I delete the character to start fresh. Also, I share materials and make a Component / Water / Food Run and do the weekly SHD Project for the exotic to deconstruct for exotic material at level 30 before going to NY, but then the whole point for me is the resources and so I'm not at max and have no benefit from trying to get over 9999.

      Make sure you disable all offensive skills as Keener can hack them and use them against you. I use a crusader shield for a bit of protection and a jammer pulse to knock out his defender drone. I’ve been using a strikers build with Memento and a Ceska chest with crit chance, crit damage and Obliterate. Crit chance on the gear to get to 50% then everything else goes to crit damage. I use St Elmo’s or a Police M4 paired with an ACS-12 for primary/secondary.

      If you follow this strategy, have a look at your account resources before you run the character. If your overall resource levels are low, it doesn’t make a difference if you buy it at level 30 or after you hit level 40.
      If you are near the maximum for some of your resources but you know you are going to need them for upcoming optimization, expertise levelling etc, wait thill you hit level 40, spend all the scavenging points on the new character then buy the blueprint. The game won’t void the excess and you will end up with more than the single character cap of 9999 resources for that particular resource.

    The level 40 weapon from a specialization is indestructible and takes up no space in stash or inventory. Not everyone gets 5 specialization options at 165, that depends on the version of WONY purchased. You can also keep a fully modded splinterer 30, 35, 40 in your stash and pull them out for use.

    Hi, I just bought the game and realized that I have to use/buy the dlc boost option as provided. Before buy in - the game mentions it is a one time offer on one character only. So my question is will i need to buy another boost for second character to become a mule for the first character.. (essentially buying twice the Boost option). Is that even allowed?
    Secondly since i am still a bit overwhelmed with all the game systems. Can you reccomend a path to follow for a new player to follow this system you have outlined. Or am i pacing myself too fast and just enjoy the game...and let it be after a certain point of time.
    Lastly, according to you how many hours of grinding would be needed for a beginner to enjoy end game content with a decent build..
    Thanks for your patience... Subbed.. 🙏👍
    PS: I have done the grind only once in a looter game with NIOH2 having 2000 plus hours on it.. That was super fun looter and build making fun..

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  7 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you for both the question and the sub! I'll try and answer your questions in order.
      The Warlords Of New York Expansion (DLC) includes the Level 30 Boost. They are a one-time purchase for your account and based on my experience, can be used unlimited times by you as you create new characters. I don't know how many times I've used the Level 30 Boost as it numbers in the dozens if not hundreds.
      The path you choose in the game is largely determined by what you want out of the game. I want a game I can enjoy for almost endless hours that doesn't feel like a grind so a lot of what I recommend is based on making the conscious choice to not get too wrapped up in the progression but enjoy the progress.
      Most of the following assumes you have finished WONY and are at SHD level 40 but it also applies below level 40. If you have not yet purchased the DLC, disregard the piece about Expertise.
      Put together a build that fits your playstyle and allows you to tackle Level 3 (Challenging) control points. Level 3 and 4 control points award crafting blueprints. These are the first place you want to spend time working toward. This will also give you crafting materials and weapons/gear that can become materials. When your inventory becomes full, head back to the White House and do the following. Go through everything and mark pieces you intend to keep as a favorite; mark everything else as junk. Head to the recalibration bench and do the following. Go to the Recalibration library and look for a little green triangle next to the weapons and gear. This indicates there are pieces in your inventory with higher values or Talents you do not yet have. Extract talents, then primary attributes then secondary attributes until all the triangles are gone. Go to the Expertise tab and donate all junk. Finally, deconstruct all remaining junk for components/materials. If you get in the habit of doing this after every run, you will quickly fill your library and get on the way toward making all your gear proficient (Expertise)
      With the pieces you kept as a favorite, go through your build(s) and look for upgrades. Mark anything you replace as junk and repeat the process above.
      While doing the above, make sure you have spent all your SHD points at the Quartermaster and have unlocked all your perks, skills and Specializations.
      Work toward maxing out all your specializations trees. The weekly invaded missions are an excellent way of doing this. Each of the 5 missions awards 5 points toward your active specialization and every time you go up a level you get 3 points. When you max out a specialization, activate a new one and work toward maxing it out as well.
      Create a few loadouts for different situations. I recommend a skill build, a 4-piece Heartbreaker Gear Set Build and a 4-piece Strikers Gear Set build as starting loadouts.
      I can't answer the question about the number of hours; I've got about 1600 hours on my main character and I'm at SHD watch level 5700. The main story and the DLC can be defeated quite quicky and getting your watch up to SHD 1000 can also be done quite quickly if you want to treat it like a job. . .one of my clan mates went up something like 75 watch levels in one day. This was done by responding to a players request for assistance (Sheppard). The group was playing on Heroic with 4 directives active and they all played together for hours. Being a Sheppard for another agent awards an XP bonus as does playing at higher difficulty and activating additional directives.
      There is so much to this game that you have to learn; all of this just takes time, practice and patience.
      My last piece of advice is to join an active clan. . .this game is far more fun played with other players.
      Meat

    When creating a second or other character, the warlords expansion is super easy, even solo, and does not really require getting a shield splinterer or doing anything in Washington prior to Warlords. As you progress through warlords from level 30-40 just use the newer gear you find. To me, spending any time in Washington is a waste of time and is better used towards the 2-4 hr grind in New York.

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  Год назад +1

      I do it purely for the convenience of having some of my preferred blueprints for weapon mods available as I progress. While running WONY, I don't buy or craft any gear or weapons, I just equip and use what I pick up along the way but I do prefer to have the option to equip the +20 round magazine. But, as you said, spending time in Washington is absolutely not required.

    @deliman7203 Год назад +1

    Wow in the hundreds of times I've done this I've never use the tower in front of the White House, great idea.
    Other players have already mentioned buying the Shared materials blueprint to get the SHD requisition project at level 30. That 1 extra diamond adds up for your Expertise grind.
    So it's overkill but I actually have saved gear, weapons and mods sets for this run. It saves me a bit of time having to loot for items or using subpar items recovered from the missions. So from level 30 to 40, for most levels I have items to match the level. I've even gone as far as to recalibrate some items to give a max attribute. So in the run I don't bother to pick up items outside the missions. It's about 80 items in total that then go into stash when it's time to delete character. However if a level 40 player helps me, they usually do most of the heavy work and I don't have to adjust gear every level until we get to Keener.
    Also prior to running this character I make sure I have junked level 40 items in stash so I can sell them with the level 30 character to craft missing weapon attachments.

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  Год назад +2

      I typically do it after I’ve completed WONY and have gotten the Keener watch.
      I complete all of the NYC content, then fast travel back to Washington and buy it at that point.
      Having said that, if your resource level are not near max (9999) and you are using this method of starting from level 1 before going to NYC, it doesn’t really matter if you but it before or after.
      Where it comes into play is when you are at or near max for resources. You can actually push your resources over the maximum. If this is your goal, finish WONY, spend the scavenging points as desired, then buy the blueprint. Your new characters resources will be merged with your existing pot of resources and the totals can increase beyond 9999 so that no resources are lost.
      I plan on doing that this weekend so I can bump my expertise level up a few points before the new season drops on Tuesday.

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  3 месяца назад

      In order to reach level 40, and ou must complete the WNY DLC and defeat Keener. After that, you can take advantage of the shared watch levels by running a new character through. When you complete the DLC, the new character instantly gets the same watch levels as your main character so you will have the ability to obtain materials from the scavenging points.

  • @ti9178
    @ti9178 25 дней назад

    If doing all the grinding and level again for a second character, then how is that going to help to fast level up the shd watch, tho? And resources while i can do that with the same first character with the same time that i'm leveling up a character that i won't be using!
    Ps: i don't have NY expansion and i don't plan to do so even though i'm an og division player since the first title and i don't like to put real money after buying once and i don't like dlc's and expansions!

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  25 дней назад +1

      Your watch levels are shared across all characters in your account. Now that you no longer need the DLC to reach level 40 and access the Keener watch, this means you can instantly tap into the pool of Scavenging points on a new character.
      800 points are set aside for the 4 attributes (Offensive, Defensive, Utility and Handling) but the remainder sit in Scavenging.
      You can instantly use these scavenging points for optimization or expertise.
      The caveat is that your watch level must be high enough to make this worthwhile. The general consensus is the optimal time to start running a watch mule is after you reach watch level 1800.

      Hi Carl. The resources come from my watch levels when I create a new character and then complete the WONY DLC. My current watch level is approximately 4900 which gives 4100 watch levels to spend on Scavenging points. This allows me to top up my resources directly or to access credits to purchase weapons, gear or mods to break down for receiver components, protective fabric and printer filament.

      @@carl7368 it depends on your needs. At Watch level 1000, you will still loose 800 points to the outer 4 quadrants of the watch so you will have 200 points in scavenging. The higher your watch level the better the return on your investment of time; it takes me about 4 hours to complete WONY solo. So as a player who played when warlords came out then haven’t played since I just got back into the game and deleted my presaved loadouts so I can kinda start fresh, what does this actually do as in why do you need to do this ? No other video explains this and my mates don’t play anymore so I’m even more confused with this strategy?

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  Год назад +2

      Your SHD watch levels apply to every character once the character has completed Warlords of New York. This strategy is applicable to players whose watch level is over 1000. In my case, my current watch level is approximately 2800. When I complete WONY, I will have 2800 SHD levels to spend. 800 are reserved for the various skill blocks which leaves the balance of 2000 available to be spent on scavenging points.
      This allows you to top up your materials (steel, titanium etc) field recon data, and other resources that are scarce in the world. It also can be used to add currency to the new character. This can be used to buy pistols from a vendor (pistols are the least expensive weapon) which can then be disassembled for receiver components and other resources. 50 scavenging points equates to $500,000 which equates to approximately 92 pistols. This yields approximately 2800 receiver components.
      It’s an efficient trade off of time vs reward to provide the resources for optimization and/or Expertise levelling; provided your watch level is high enough.

    doesn't sharing the resources after level 40 force you to spend 800 points towards the stats? instead of keeping them all for scavenging... i typically exhaust my resources, boost a character, share everything then run through new york and I'm able to spend all of my points on resources. might not matter for someone with really high shd but for someone around 800-1000 it would be a big waste of time imo, having to spend those on stats you'll never use.

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  Год назад +1

      Sharing resources does not affect the 800 points that are reserved for your watch attributes. These are set aside from your total regardless of whether you share resources or not. If you are under watch level 1000, this is not the most efficient way to farm resources; your time is better spent farming resource convoys and/or farming control points on Challenging or higher difficulty to gain both watch levels and blueprints.

    How do you use a character as a Mule

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  6 месяцев назад

      The basic premise is to create a character and use its 150 “backpack” storage as additional storage for interesting gear or weapons. Maybe pieces that you aren’t currently using but don’t want to deconstruct. If you’re going to do that, you may as well boost the character to level 30 and run them through WONY. If your watch level is over 1000, every time you level up, the mule will get a point in Scavenging. This allows you to collect even more scavenging resources.

    What is the lvl 30 character for?

    • @AgentMeat
      @AgentMeat  Год назад +1

      Three reasons. One is for clan XP for the world tier 5 challenges.
      The second is, my clan has a lot of new or returning players who are under level 40. This allows less scaling when I join them.
      The last is for farming the DZ. The level 30 DZ is not as populous as the level 40 DZ so you tend to get fewer rogue encounters. You can farm for the DZ resources, extract then log out when you’re done. You then log back in on your level 40 and claim the extracted DZ resources from the cache inbox.
      The level 30 gets the targeted loot and any well rolled gear plus any DZ resources from the blue boxes. The Level 40 gets the DZ resources from the deconstructed gear. Both get to buy from the DZ vendors.
