Pro Tip: For new players or low SHD level agents, I highly recommend playing countdown on challenging and target loot all guns first & then do brand sets. It's the most efficient way possible to increase expertise level and save your resources for later expertise levels to just donate those close to rank 10 in any category and donate for exotic weapons and gear that drop in raids and the dark zone

New player here, if I select “Donate Junk” that located in the front page of Expertise menu, will it be donated to their exact categories or to random items?
@fr1zon if you're in the expertise menu all the junk will go to the corresponding gear it is not random at all, once the gear is rank 10 and you donate all junk it will not be donated at all as it is max level so you can deconstruct all max level gear afterwards for more resources unless it God rolled.... also another Pro Tip: if you see God rolled item or something you like to keep amongst the gear you keep, then mark it as your favorite, then you can't accidentally donate it🙏🏽

How to complete the manhunt stuff? I get the first step done, then there are no more markers indicating what the next part/step should be. Opening up the targeted individual window for the manhunt is basically useless information.

are you for real??, make sure you have 30-50 empty slots in your inventory, I have at most 5 free, and my inventory is overflowing, we need more space, hahaha
And that’s why I have 3 characters crested just to hold extra loot
Everytime i see assault rifles as targeted loot in any dz , every neuron in my brain starts firing.

I thought that way because of kingbreaker, went 3 months without getting a drop. First countdown i did 3 dropped.
@loseyljosh I just got lady death smg to drop on my first boss on the summit and I have been trying to gett that gun for around 4 months now
Countdown has not bugged for me since Year 5 dropped!
Also if the game seems bugged (loading screen messes up or no cutscene etc) just continue as normal and the hunters should spawn and timer should start around the time you’re getting to the first countermeasure! It’s happened many times but it always comes around! Just delayed is all!

Countdown is a nope to me since i don't have ps plus to just play at least Co-op thanks to fu*** sony 🤷🏽♂️
I miss the days were everything was new to me, I even had patience to just walk around DC and explore.
This game has SO MUCH to learn, I never thought Id get to know every single talent, build, weapon and the whole map by heart to the point its almost boring now.
I love the game, but I cant find anything to do anymore. And the bugs dont help at all

Dont take it to hard if higher shd agents kick you trying to matchmake into countdowns on challenging and above. Im only 300 and have been kicked from only a couple but more often then not most groups dont mind.
start your own countdown group, that way people cant kick you from it!

Good tips. And remember that if you do Descent and kill the Nemesis then you also get a guaranteed exotic drop. Lots of ways to get them. Now if i could just figure out why i have 5 of the new holster but am yet to see a second St Elmo's Engine or Ninjabike Backpack.
That said, I dont know what infrastructure changes they made today but i crashed 4 times trying to do the manhunt and gave up on the second bounty. Crashed once after the first control point. Once during the first bounty. Once during the second control point, and then once as I was completing the second bounty. I'm sure it's worse when more people are on but its getting really frustrating of late.

The only Exotics I'm missing now is the infamous Eagle Bearer and Ravenous.
The near impossible to get for a casual ass like me - Regulus.
And of course, The Bighorn. I've only done one Legendary with a whole team of pros.
I’m telling you, join GC Rocks discord and find a raid group. They will totally hook you up. Tell them GreyBeard sent you! So many people have gotten those weapons this way.
That eagle bearer gives me nightmares ..Have the bighorn, got it in my first ever legendary mission a long time ago. Never ever used it though..
I always look forward to your Division 2 videos Sarge especially the news updates. For the first part of your video, unless it has changed, the Targeted Loot feature only works if you have the Warlords of NY dlc and that it’s been completed for your character.

any clue on how I can get ninja backpack I've done countdown target loot . I've opened more than 30 exotic cache I just can't get the thing to drop 😫 any tips or advice welcome

+1 been farming for hours on end, summit, open world, dz, exotic cashes. Nothing seems to drop it?
Ok guys this is gonna sound cheesy, but the bag will come when you're NOT pursuing it...I remember trying to get the chameleon to drop and it just wouldn't, but when I played the summit I got it to drop TWICE. Same with the momento...wasn't making it my "gotta have it" objective but set the target loot to backpack and played...in the midst of having fun and not thinking about it, it dropped (floor 30 I beli3ve). The idea is this...set the target loot and play summit...it's the best way besides countdown because it's a concentrated and targeted...I played 10-20,floors a day(its not hard, maybe 1 1/2 hrs) and remembered it dropped with a boss on floor 30...I wanna say floor 30 and up will give you the drop for sure...also put it on challenging if u can and just have fun...it'll drop, but i think when you're mind is set on getting it, you will get pursuit fatigue and tired of the game. Set the target, have fun and just play...it'll drop 💯💪🏾

Lol.. we have all been there. It was the same way for me and lady death. Took me months and months of farming to finally get that weapon. And then I accidentally deconstructed it! But thankfully, one dropped about a week later. The point is sometimes it just takes a very long time to get certain things.
bro ur tips help me get the exotic in control n just within 2 runs i got the weaveform exotic for my skills build n its a god roll both perfect stats(max)

Does someone know what buton is for targeted loot on ps4 controler. I cant see option for targeted loot on global map. I use ps5.

Anyone know if the summit is a bad farm location for the Mantis? Got to drop once in the dz on some random then got killed by a rogue at the start of the eagle bearer dz mess. I hope it doesn't only drop in the dz because this is killing me lol

The Eagle bearer can only be obtained in the dark hours raid or the dark zone

recently returned to the division 2, how come my map doesn’t have an option to ‘show targeted loot?’
It should.. not sure why .. as long as you are level 40

Just wanted a clarification, I'm currently farming for Memento on the summit. Do directives make it more likely to drop, or do they make the rolls on status higher? I'm trying to be as efficient with my farming as possible.
Do Countdown every second clear you can get an exotic cache
Directives can have an impact on how many backpacks may drop, but it does not increase the Exotic drop rate. They also have no effect on the quality of the loot itself.
Recently, yellow bars have appeared at the top of the screen, slightly right of center. I have three now, but have had up to seven in the last week. Anyone know what these are?
...then it went to four bars, and now, five. Very puzzling. Don't know what they represent.

Yes… but from what I’ve heard, you have better chances of getting it from exotic ashes. But it is pure luck, my friend.

One of these days I’m hoping I can get a Memento to drop from Summit or Countdown. I’ve only been running summit, because I’m a solo player, but I might have to try Countdown and see if I have any better luck. I’ve also just gotten back into the game, so a lot of this stuff is brand new to me!
Try countdown!! You Wont regret it. Dont worry about not know what to do, just follow everyone else. BUT DO NOT USE A SKILL BUILD because Hunters will hack them and take out the squad!😂
I played so much countdown this week I have 9 gear sets with perfect or near perfect stats. I didn’t know how awesome giving the group hollow points was haha.

I'm an old gamer who is relatively new to D2 - I just made it to SHD level 25 for the first time. I prefer playing solo and avoid the DZ because honestly I'm not that good. I am currently trying to get the Memento BP. I've been watching a few of your videos recently and really enjoy the helpful content. I just subscribed as a result. Hey Agent, just a tip...if your looking for the momento bag, I would play the summit and set the target loot to backpack (it'll drop pretty quick, I got it at floor 30. Just keep going and you'll get the bag...this game opens up in the grind and becomes FUN and REWARDING
Summit will do, I'm currently looking for NinjaBackpack on summit but instead, I got 5 Memento bags xD

I just got memento from countdown alot of my exotics have come from countdown.
In terms of best loot what's the divide between upping difficulty vs directives? Should I try and do heroic or if I can do challenging with a few directives is that better? Is challenging with all directives worse loot than just base heroic?
Recommend doing Challenging with 3 directives active. It is easier and better for loot unless you're high SHD level with high expertise gear, then you can play on heroic as well
In my opinion, when it comes to loot, higher the difficulty the better.
Stupid question: Is there a way to lower Manunt difficulty? I have no problem reaching the final targets, but the game auto-bumps difficulty by +2 or +3 levels... Is this normal? I've looked for answers on the chat / support forums, but getting wiped 30 times is neither enjoyable nor relaxing when playing a game.
Yes, some of the manhunt activities have a required level.
Hey brother...check your build...get a tanky build initially (look for 2-pieces of belstone armor, that gives you armor regeneration and health on kill)...start that way and once you start adjusting to your gamelan/gameplay swap for some pieces that give higher dps(hunter's fury pieces, 3 piece or striker brand pieces). I was in the same boat as you for sure, but you'll adjust when u start suiting up right 💪🏾🙏🏾💯

I've been trying several different builds, adjusting play style, and mixing gear bonuses... just frustrating that they allow us to set difficulty, but then default to the most challenging for Manhunt content. Last season and this season are the only two I haven't been able to finish. It's like the AI ignores my gear being fully optimized / max level. Anyway, back to the grind...

I make it my mission to farm for that Obliterate talent, although after close to 700 hours i must have had it sometime, but might have just deleted it..
With my current striker/ elmo build heroic is no challenge anymore..
Funny being kicked from countdown heroic, because of shd level...that level doesn't mean that much...😂
I see mr gamebrigade says that in order to get the eagle bearer join a crew on discord. I play on ps5, is there discord? I have no clue how that works...Want that EB😢
so, go to a channel like GC Rock. You will see he has a discord group. get the app on your phone, and when you join you will see what you are looking for. PS players farming for the EB! Keep me posted

You said name caches can give you dz items. Can exoitc caches do the same thing? My brother has been trying to get the Pestilence gun, and we don't do dz often.
The pestilence is not dz exclusive so you should be able to get it anywhere, exotic caches, countdown with Lmg allocation or missions/regions with Lmg allocation. That said you can still get it outside of allocation but allocation for a certain exotic increases the the chance of getting it
Pesti can drop anywhere the LMG is the targeted loot

Where i can find builds for the game? Sniper build seems to be done so want to try other things. Also momentos backpack require something to start it dropping? Never get it only ninja backpacks that i get ..
Farm with someone that has already memento backpack on hes loot pool and then he can share with you, any exotics in the game excluding the raid exclusive ones

I've been hoping for a drop but the only one I have is the one I got as part of the season rewards track last season. Of course I'm sure some people have 5 because it's all down to RNG. Just farm where the targeted loot is backpacks and hopefully one will drop.
Most people I’ve heard I’ve been getting it from Exotic caches. But I have heard of people getting it dropping as well.
