    What's your skincare plan for 2024? I wish you all the Happiest of New Years! See you in January 💛

    Avene recently reformulated their sunscreen line to include their proprietary UV filter TriAsorB.

      I've been using their new sunscreens for the past couple of years! Love them 😊

    Hi from Ireland! I have similar skin to yours; am a bit oilier though. I don't do well with CeraVe, but I'm happy with Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat gel cream moisturiser and Vaseline. I also use 100% Rosewater and Glycerin liberally and SPF 50 from German budget supermarket Lidl. I use Inkey Salicylic Cleanser twice a week, and Simple Micellar Cleanser daily. My skin is happy, my wallet is happy and I do use prescription strength 5% benzoyl peroxide for my body acne. I love it! No tret for me, I'm 41 and I give zero shits about ageing! :) You look beautiful and the makeup suits your beautiful personality! ❤ Kay

      Love it! I really need to just stick to products that work for me and not get so caught up in newness. I may try adding glycerin to the rose water I have as well! Where do you get your Aveeno products?

      @@michxmash I get mine in Boots (the equivalent of Walgreens) - I wait for price to drop and usually grab two or three! My skin is absolutely a diva and if I throw too many emollient or occlusive moisturisers at it, I definitely break out, but if I don't hydrate it properly and use only foaming cleansers or actives without rosewater or Vaseline then I break out also! I found great inspiration in Dr. Natalia Spierings book and her Instagram (she goes live in 30 minutes taking Q and A from anyone!). She doesn't promote any brands or products and works mainly as a skin cancer specialist but the whole transformation of my skin was down to taking her advice. She's a big fan of tret, SPF, Vaseline! Thanks again for your fab video!

      Thank you for watching 😁 I also like Dr. Natalia Spierings when I need to just refresh my brain before buying something. I read her book as well and it was definitely an eye opener about putting all our eggs in one basket that is skincare.

      @@michxmash I should have guessed you'd know her and her book. I am always late to the party!! I think the ritualistic aspects of skincare can't be overlooked (she's a bit black or white in her thinking) and for that reason I applaud people like you who take considerable time, and trouble to share your experiences with particular products and skincare rituals with us. Your voice rises above the din of SkinTube and Skinternet gurus! Kay x

    Can you show the routines and products you’ll be using? Do you use tretinoin before or after moisturizer? Or do you sandwich?

      I have a recent Winter PM skincare routine where I explain how I use tretinoin in my routine!

    Are the only actives you’re focusing on are tretinoin and spot treating with benzoyl peroxide if you need to? I think I need to use less actives too. I’m getting a lot of irritation

    What do you think about hylauronic acid serums?

    • @michxmash
      @michxmash  8 месяцев назад

      On the fence. I like how they visibly improve my skin but HA is in so many products I don't feel it necessary to have a sole HA serum. Having said that, I have Torriden's Dive-In Serum on my wishlist. Multiple HA molecules but I believe it has soothing ingredients as well.

    What do you think about using no skincare?
