We just came back from 8 days in Rome ; the heat was just unbelievable. We managed by mostly sightseeing in the mornings and going back to our apartment by 1 pm ; then we would rest and go out again at 6 pm. Also I carried a small electric fan, hat, froze my water bottle overnight, carried cooling cloths and wore walking sandals! The one day I wore sneakers, I was too hot and could barely function. all good tips and your videos and web site, which I checked out before out trip were very useful! thank you !!
Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed this videos and others on my channel, along with my website! I'm glad you managed to enjoy Rome despite the heat.
We are planning on visiting the sites as early in the day as possible before the cruise ship people come into the city, return to our Airbnb, have lunch, and go back when they return to their ships, or in the evening. I might venture out and do some transit photography while my wife and our 17 year old daughter relax in the afternoon. We will be carrying a bottle for filling up at the nazones so we can have water as we visit the city. Also, we'll be staying close to the Vatican, about a 10 minute walk. We have no choice but to travel in the summer because my wife is a school teacher. We have our tricks to stay cool as well. Love your videos! Bonjour! Hi! from Montreal, QC, Canada!
All excellent ideas. We were there at end of May and it was unseasonably hot. Some bars/restaurants have water misters that spray gently over you while sitting outside, works best under shade. The wet wipes can also be used as a cold cloth if you go out without it. Open out wet wipe and shake it 5 or six times which cools it down If using headnad to hold hair back, wear it damp. The water evaporating helps to cool.your neck and head. I really recommend a parasol or umbrella. I.got one that had spf 50 coating inside. Excellent for the forum.. Enjoyed the video as always.

I miss the heatwave because it’s my reason to enjoy gelato 😂❤😊
Ha, I don't think you need a heatwave to enjoy gelato! :)
@@Romewise you’re right 😍
Great.
Thanks so much!
Actually someone sold me roses for my dinner in Rome 😂 I mean it was nice but we were indoors he just snuck inside lmao 😮
Ah yes, the rose sellers are pretty much everywhere in Rome!
@@Romewise they gotta feed their family right! Very convenient, don’t need to go out of my way to get my roses 🌹
Do as the Romans do…and drink the pur cool water from the many street fountains you pass.
Yep! We lots of clean, free, drinking water available all around Rome.
