I really can't thank you enough for your kind comments and continued support! It's thanks to people like you, who appreciate what I am trying to do, that I love what I do so much!
Her videos are such added motivation for those of us eager to return to Rome and who recall the joy of past trips there. I was in Rome for the 2000 Jubilee. The people were very gracious and the sheer number of young people participating in events was uplifting. I am so glad that she posted this video for people seeking to visit Rome for the 2025 Jubilee. Thank you SO much, as always!
Wow, you were here for the 2000 Jubilee, too? I remember it well and it was not a crazy scene. I also found it uplifting and a positive experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about it. And thank you as ever for all your support!
We will likely be visiting Italy but won’t spend more than a day or two in Rome. Thankfully we saw so much on our last trip 2 years ago, and given the prices of most hotels in 2025 we likely won’t be able to stay around much longer. We love Rome and used so many of your videos for real up to date information on our trip, and I’m looking forward to using your other cities’ videos for our trip!
Thanks a lot for letting me know you have enjoyed my videos and have found them helpful with your trip planning! I hope you will enjoy your upcoming Italy trip, no matter how much or how little time you might spend in Rome. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!
I was hoping you made a video of the sites in Rome that are being renovated since I will be there this September. As always, your videos are very informative. You're the best!!!
Yeah! That's great to hear! So glad you enjoyed the video, and glad to hear you will visit Rome in 2025 - I think the city will be so beautiful! Thanks again for all your support - Go Gators!
I did not know about the Jubilee and had already booked for July 2025. I was a bit nervous but after seeing your video we are still coming. Looking forward to the trip. Thank you for the helpful information
Great insight once again Elyssa, Hey everyone, if you don't fancy going to Rome during the Jubilee why not take advantage of Elyssa's great Florencewise and Napleswise sites and plan a visit to either Florence or Naples, I guarantee following Elyssa's advice you will have a great time, we visit Florence as much as we do Rome and Elyssa always helps to make the visits great.
Thanks a lot, Peter! Yes, you are right, even if you don't want to stay in Rome, there is always Florence and Naples to visit! But I say come and see all 3! Thanks a lot for helping us promote our other sites and videos! I always appreciate your kind support! 🙏🙏🙏
Your site is most amazing for being current and informative. Thank you. My family of 5 just visited Rome in early June and I'd love to combine Rome, Sicily (where my family is from) and Florence for two weeks sometime next year. If you were to take out your crystal ball, when is the best two times to go next year. Best guess. I won't hold you to it!
Thank you so much for your kind comments! I'm so glad you enjoy my channel and website content. Hmmm, I have two videos about this, you may find helpful: ruclips.net/video/arf7eQPbsyE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/-QZfk3MSZyg/видео.html As you can see, the times with the nicest weather, spring and fall, are also the busiest. So you kind of have to decide what is more important to you - having a less crowded experience or enjoying the most pleasant weather. In my videos I talk about those sweet spots where you can combine a little of both. Hope that helps!
I appreciate all this info, so helpful thank you. We are coming to Rome in late spring of 2025. We have been a few times before and have already done the major spots so we are going to go less tourist attraction and hidden gems route.
Coming at the end of October..we were in Rome in May, the Jubilee works throughout the City are not a huge problem, so much to see,so much to do....Love your channel
Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed your visit to Rome and did not let the scaffolding affect your trip! Thank you also for letting me know you enjoy my channel!
We're coming in October 2025 and thank you for this informative video... I think we are going to be BFFs this year as I plan our 2025 Italy adventure! 🇮🇹 💚🤍❤️🇮🇹😊
Thank you for all the good information. I’m always excited to see your new videos. I have a question. When do you think is the best time to visit the Spanish Steps to see the azaleas?
Thanks for your kind comments as always! I appreciate your support! The only time to see the azaleas on the Spanish Steps is in spring - they go up in late April and stay up through the first 7-10 days or so of May.
Thanks Elyssa for all the great videos. Went to Rome in November 2022, and have thoughts about the trip and longing to travel back there again. Thinks about if not every day absolutely every week. 😅 November is a great month to visit Rome, other visitors of course but not crowded, and the weather is perfect.
Thanks for your suggestion. When I made the video, they had not started on these renovations. The renovations will last 2 months. The video is mostly about the Jubilee, and I believe it will be relevant throughout 2025. On this channel, my videos are meant to have a longer shelf life than say, social media content. For more timely content, you may wish to follow me on my social media platforms and sign up for my free newsletter, where I do share up-to-date information about things such as the renovations happening at the Trevi Fountain these next two months.
I stay in convent/monasteries. When I tried to make a reservation at the one I stayed at in Rome in 2018, they said no vacancy ( early May ). I thought ‘oh, no the Jubilee will mean no places to stay’. I was able to book another one, very close to the Vatican. Then a day later, the first convent said they made a mistake and did have room. This occured in Mid-June
Yes I think Jubilee or no Jubilee, monasteries can be wonderful places to stay, depending on what you are looking for in your accommodation. They are usually less expensive than hotels or even apartments, and many of them are super central. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Great video! But we have plans for a week in Rome starting Nov 2. I wasn’t aware of all this renovation (Now I want to sue our travel agent😬). I feel like this a wasted trip. Oh well, we’ll make day trips to Florence, Naples, & Pompeii perhaps. Would you recommend visiting Tivoli?
First of all, don't worry! The city is still beautiful and Rome has SO MUCH to offer besides the few sites that have some scaffolding up. Second of all, some of the scaffolding is already starting to come down as they prepare for the Jubilee. Just the other day, the unveiled Bernini's baldachin in Saint Peter's Basilica and if you visit on your trip, you will see it in all its splendour! I have only seen photos but it looks stunning. As I mentioned in the video, there are even many of the "must-see" sites that are not undergoing restoration, which include: the Colosseum the Roman Forum / Palatine Hill the Spanish Steps the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Saint Peter's Square and Saint Peter's Basilica (although the Pietà is still being worked on so you may only see a copy until they finish) the Pantheon (yes the fountain is getting a facelift but the Pantheon itself is free of any scaffolding) Castel Sant'Angelo (yes the bridge is under scaffolding but the monument itself is not) Complesso Vittoriano (yes, Piazza Navona is undergoing a long-term works project for the metro line c, but the Victorian Complex and elevator are all free of scaffolding) Campidoglio and the Capitoline Museums And there are so many more lesser-known sites, piazzas, fountains, churches that are all available to see. I hope you'll approach your visit with a view to seeing as much as you can, even if there is a little bit of scaffolding in the way sometimes. If you want to make day trips, by all means. Yes, I recommend Tivoli. I did a video about it here: ruclips.net/video/7JOzYXCW_1U/видео.html Have a wonderful visit!
@@RomewiseGrazie for your reply. I feel much better about our trip now. Actually, I much prefer the lesser-touristy neighborhoods & especially look forward to the Jewish Quarter. I was concerned for my wife, who had been wanting to see Rome for years. BTW, we have tickets to see the Colosseum & Forum, & arranged a long day in Florence. I’ve also planned to see a dozen or so points of interest, including what you suggested. Thanks again, you’ve been so helpful!
Hello and thank you for this video! I was thinking of heading to Rome in May 2025. When should I start booking? Is that a good time to go? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you!
Glad you find it helpful! You should start planning as soon as possible. May is peak season anyway so make sure to plan for your accommodation as soon as you can. You won't be able to book Vatican or Colosseum tickets until next year but make sure you plan as much as you can as early as you can. Have a great visit! www.romewise.com/book-in-advance-in-rome.html
Firstly I would like to thank you Elyssa for your amazingly informative videos. We are currently in Rome and they have been so helpful in the lead up to our trip and also whilst we are actually here. I wonder if you could help me with something else if possible at all? We are travelling on to Sorrento in a couple of days and will be there when England play in the euro finals and I wondered if you knew of the best place that we could watch the game whilst we are there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Thanks a lot for watching my videos and for letting me know you find them helpful. I'm glad you are enjoying your visit! Regarding Sorrento, we have recently launched our newest website, www.napleswise.com, and we have a related Facebook group, facebook.com/groups/napleswise. I suggest coming over there where you can ask questions about your upcoming Sorrento trio and hopefully get answers from some of our members!
Hi Elyssa, Im visiting Italy this December thanks for all your videos. It helps a lot. Also, I am hoping that I can see the "La Pieta" and the "Pantheon fountain" when I get there. 🤞 Do you think the construction is done by December? You're a big help to us, Godbless!
Thanks so much for watching. I'm glad you find my videos helpful. Some of the renovations around Rome are due to be finished "by November" and some "by December 23" (the first official date of the Jubilee is December 24, 2024.) But I would not want to guarantee anything because you never know. I hope you will get to see the things you want to see when you come. The later you visit in December 2024, the more chance you have of seeing the works finished.
I have a bunch of videos about this: ruclips.net/video/B2fQI7oUyqc/видео.html ruclips.net/video/UU9v6QEXdso/видео.html ruclips.net/video/k59eR16Ra_E/видео.html ruclips.net/video/-QZfk3MSZyg/видео.html
Coming in February but definitely not for the jubilee. Have booked apartment accommodation already. We won’t be visiting g the major sites as came in 2017 and saw most of them then. Will take it day by day.
That's great! I think February will still be relatively quiet compared to spring, although even February has gotten busier in Rome in recent years. But if you are just coming to enjoy the city without having to fit in the "must-see" sites, then you are sure to have a more relaxed experience!
It just hit me that my upcoming trip in late November might be affected by all the construction! I saw something on social media that said all the fountains in Piazza Navona are currently under scaffolding. :( Do you know if things will be wrapping up by late November? Luckily I have been to Rome many times before, but I am a huge fan of Baroque architecture and would be so disappointed to see my favorite works under scaffolding.
I did show the fountains in Piazza Navona and I also showed the end date for the works there, which is currently set for December 23, 2024. I talk about this very topic at various points in the video. But I also showed how MOST must-see sites in Rome are not under scaffolding. If you are a fan of the Baroque, you may be interested in this video, and most of the sites I share here are also not under scaffolding: ruclips.net/video/pGRKbGqEvYY/видео.html Hope that helps!
Are hotel prices throughout Rome and Naples going to be more expensive?? How bad will Easter week be in Naples & Pompeii this year vrs a typical year around Easter?
Hotel and other travel-related prices have gone up ever since Italy opened back up after the pandemic lockdowns. But it seems not to have made a difference and people are still coming, despite this increase. It's hard to know if prices will go up more than usual, but Easter is high season whether there is a Jubilee or not, and hotel prices tend to go up when it's peak season. The best way to find lower hotel prices is to come off season - which at this point is the dead of winter or late July - August, or to stay farther out from the city center.
After I made this video, they did indeed begin renovating the fountain. It's not closed but the basin is empty and there is some scaffolding up. The renovations should be done by the end of the year (2024.) Please stay tuned for an upcoming video dedicated to the works at the Trevi Fountain.
That church has been closed and under renovation long before many of the other Jubilee-related sites. They had said work should be completed by this November but sadly, there is no news. I will update everyone when it does open but for now, we just have to wait and see.
@@Romewise Thank you kindly. Now our concern is that the Pieta sculpture in St. Peter's will remain obscured by construction hoarding - yet perhaps that will be done by Dec. 8th with the Consistory scheduled! (Its remarkable rendering of sorrow struck me as a youth visiting the NY World's Fair/Vatican exhibit).
@@kennethpeel717 I believe the Pietà should be ready by the time you come, although I can't obviously guarantee it. They are trying to get everything done in time for the opening of the Jubilee on December 24. Fingers crossed!
I'm trying to book a guided tour for the Colosseum in mid-August (that's when we're visiting). The options available are 10:20 am, 11:00 am or 3:15pm. We will be arriving into Rome the night before at 9pm, and this is our first visit, so we still have to figure out where to have breakfast, and hot to get to the colosseum. Taking all that into consideration, and weather and crowds in mid-August, what time would be the best tour to book?
I'd avoid the heat, so early if possible. Depends where your hotel is situated. Ask them for a taxi. Don't worry too much about breakfast, just grab and go, there are lots of spots to grab brunch, normally all you need is a quick coffee ☕ and pastry 🥐 (cornetto) and keep hydrated with water. If necessary there is Via San Giovanni di Laterano leading up towards to the Caelian hill to the said Lateran Basilica - the cathedral church of Rome. It's on the far side of the Flavian amphitheatre, as you walk up past the ruins of Forum on your right side & Trajan's market on the left. There are numerous cafes, pizzerias & restaurants on this street and adjacent streets. Check out San Clemente Basilica - a 11th century medieval church built on a much earlier church, dedicated to the third pope Clement. Its built on a much earlier pagan Roman shrine. Not only beautiful but 'temperature wise' cool. Hope that helps.
Thanks so much, Walter, for answering. I agree with much of what you said. To the OP, I would book the Colosseum for 10:20 am or 3:15pm. You don't want to be at the Colosseum in the middle of the day when the sun is directly overhead as there is no place to sit down and no shade. Remember that your ticket comes with a one-time entry to the Roman Forum / Palatine Hill, which you can use at any time up to 24 hours on either side of your Colosseum ticket. So if you get the 3:15pm ticket, you could visit the Roman Forum / Palatine Hill in the morning, take a short lunch break, and then head to the Colosseum in time for your 3:15 entry. If you do this, I suggest visiting the Roman Forum first, as it has the least amount of shade and almost nowhere to sit, and then heading to the Palatine Hill (all part of the same park), as you will find a LOT of shade and places to sit. So you'd want to be in the Colosseum and the Roman Forum either first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon. The Palatine Hill is the only part of this park you can comfortably visit in the middle of the day.
I was there early-mid August and can definitely confirm the heat is crazy during the day! Some summers the heat is above normal, and we saw 38 Celsius with actual feels like over 45. BUT don’t be discouraged as I honestly felt like there were fewer tourists than June-July and Sept-Oct! Just be safe, bring a double walled water bottle tumbler and use all the free and safe water fountains! Do as much as you can before noon or after 4ish to avoid that direct sun.
Yes it's true. Here's a video about this that I did a while back (some things have changed since then, as noted in the description): ruclips.net/video/cGiQWmPG3yo/видео.html
Hi, I think the info about the Vatican tickets need to be updated. I was able to buy mine with 99 days of advanced and, in fact, there are tickets avaible from now to the 31 December on the oficial website.
Yes, just after I published this video, they inexplicably decided to make entry tickets available through to the end of the year. They are also slowly releasing them, so if you don't see availability for the date you want, keep checking. I'm not sure what they are going to do about ticket release in 2025. But I will be updating everyone with a new video towards the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025 with all the news I find out!
Carpe Diem is a Latin expression that means "seize the day." It's been used since Ancient Roman times, possibly first by Horace. In the Robin Williams film Dead Poet's Society, they used the term because it was appropriate to the theme of the movie.
@@Romewise BTW, have you seen the new trailer of Gladiator 2? 🏟🛡🗡 The story is during the reign of Caracalla and his brother Geta. 🤴🤴 Denzel Washington is on this movie playing a slave owner (business man) character 🤺 The Colloseum is also flooded by water to reinact the battle of Bactra ⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️
Those are different questions: 1) The Jubilee will end at the end of 2025 2) The Jubilee-related construction around Rome has different end dates - some will end by November 2024, some by December 2024, and some by early 2025. 3) Then there is some construction that is for the Metro C line that may last for years, even 10 or more. This is most evident at Piazza Venezia and along the via dei Fori Imperiali. But by the time you come in March 2025, most of the Jubilee-related renovations will be complete.
@ OK I understand now, I will write it down in my traveling notebook and my calendars, me and my girlfriend we are going to Rome and many other places through Italy and it’s going to be our very first time to Italy and we never been to Italy, we were a bit worried about the crowds and the pickpockets and scammers around Rome because we saw a lot of RUclips videos about scammers, pickpockets, and stuff people trying to steal from other people, but we’ll see how it goes, but now we have plans how we’re gonna do this on March, besides that me and my girlfriend we never knew that they were going to do all of that jubilee stuff so that’s why me and my girlfriend we were a little bit worried because we don’t know nothing about the jubilee, neither behind the story history nothing we never knew, but I really wanna thank you for replying my comment giving me updates and dates and everything I will subscribe to your RUclips channel. Thank you 💯
@@Ramirez141_ Please don't worry so much about pickpockets and scammers. These exist as they do in any big city, but a lot of those videos are popular because they are click-bait. Just be vigilant and aware of your surroundings, and have a wonderful time in Italy! You will love it!
Hello Elyssa, I have a question for you. I will be landing in Rome at 10 am on a Saturday. I was planning to visit the St Peter's Basilica & the dome. Do you suggest I visit both on Saturday afternoon? Or should I do it on Sunday? Unfortunately I am unable to do it on other days. Also, I heard that the St Peter's Basilica is closed in the morning on Sunday...
You don't say where you are flying FROM. If you will be super jet lagged, climbing the dome may not be so easy unless you get a nap first. Saint Peter's Basilica is open 365 days a year. The dome is also open 365 days a year. The basilica is only closed on Wednesday mornings when the pope holds the Papal Audience. It's also closed during papal masses. You might be thinking of the Vatican Museums where the Sistine Chapel is. The museums are closed on Sundays except for the last Sunday of the month, when they are open in the morning and free. SO in answer to your question, you can visit Saint Peter's basilica and climb the dome on either Saturday or Sunday, as you prefer. These videos may be helpful: ruclips.net/video/B82ubnugwHI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/uUROWPCWknc/видео.html ruclips.net/video/WFU3SGEQ0cA/видео.html
@@Romewise Thank you very much for the detailed feedback! It's really appreciated. I'm from Quebec (Canada), so I'm guessing it's not a good idea to visit without taking a nap as you're suggesting. I watched the videos you recommended and I see why visiting on Sunday is a better idea (since the Vatican museums are closed, it should be less crowded. I am already planning to visit them in a different day). Could you let me know at what time is the papal mass in the morning? Do I have time to visit the Basilica & the dome before they close it down for the mass? If I do not have time, at what time does the papal mass end so I can start my visit in the Basilica & dome?
@@tonylelavallois5950 So there are mostly NO papal masses on Sundays. They are on specific days for specific events like Easter, Christmas, or other holy days. You can see when the pope will hold a papal mass here: www.vatican.va/content/vatican/en.html Just click the calendar and look for the month in question. His schedule is usually updated no more than a week or so in advance. So on a regular Sunday, the basilica will be open. Hope that helps!
Thank you for another wonderfully informative video! It has been so exciting to plan a trip to Rome after 20+ years. I have a question for you, if I may. With the problem of mass tourism, should I even come? I don't want to burden Italians even more. I am trying to stay in a hotel vs a rental but it is hard as there will be 4-6 of us. I see the pictures of the crowds. I have read the news about how Spain has had protests, spraying tourists with water, anti- tourism graffiti and signs. I don't want to contribute to the possibility of that one day being fed up Italians. Do Italians want us there? Would they rather we didn't come? I am and have always been an extremely respectful traveler. I feel that maybe I should respect their wishes and not visit. What do you think? Thank you for your time in answering my question!
Thank you for your kind comments. I am glad you found the video helpful. It's very thoughtful of you to be concerned about being "part of the problem." There is a lot of talk about this lately in the media and I think it's good to have the conversation. With the explosion in tourism, even before the pandemic, I think people who are tourists as well as people who live in places with a lot of tourism are smart to think about how to handle all this growth. I think if you are aware of the places you visit, and are respectful, you and people who like to travel should continue to do so. Travel brings the world together and opens doors. To be honest, the only people I hear regularly complaining about tourists are other tourists. So many people who live in Rome and Italy work directly or indirectly in tourism, that it would be hard to find people saying they don't want tourists. I am sure there are, but I just haven't heard anyone say that. I have a lot of Italian friends and nobody has said it to me. And I doubt it's because I work in tourism but rather because they simply accept that when you live in a place like Rome and Florence, people will visit your city. That's just my take but of course, you should do what is right for you.
@@lilflower5 Glad you found my opinion helpful. I hope you have a wonderful visit! I suggest you come on over and join our free Romewise Facebook group. There are a lot of helpful people there who are happy to help with questions you may have before your upcoming trip.
There is no visa associated with the Jubilee. If you are looking for a visitor's visa to travel to Italy, that's beyond the scope of this channel. You should ask at the Italian consulate where you live.
I was not aware of the Jubilee and have started making plans for November 2025 for 5 days in Rome to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary then take Transatlantic cruise back to US . We are coming anyway not that interested in the jubilee.
Thank you for the quick response. Love what you are doing. We just found you on RUclips. Are you familiar with the apartments at 287 via de Corso? Didn't know if I should mention their name on your site or not. We are in touch with them to book for our stay. Glad to see you are from Florida. We live in Sebastian Florida, between Melbourne and Vero bch .
@@LarryTiggis Thanks for your kind compliments. No, I am not familiar with those accommodations. Yes, I am from Gainesville - hope you guys are all doing ok after Helene passed through!
I am not sure about that. I think a lot of prices were raised post-pandemic. Also, there are A LOT of new hotels under construction, so there will be even more hotel rooms available. Nobody is saying there will definitely be higher prices for things and I am not sure there will be. But nobody knows.
I would reconsider going to Rome or any other places in Italy in 2025. It will be worst than ever and even more crowded than before. Pilgrims from all over the world will not only come to Rome but will make most of their time off to visit other places in Italy. Booking prices are going to rise up for accomodations, flight/train/tour tickets, etc. because of high demands.
It may be that other parts of Italy will also see a surge in tourism in 2025 but I honestly don't think that coming in 2026 or later is going to make a lot of difference. First of all, Italy is a popular destination. Second of all, people are just travelling more and more so I don't anticipate a huge drop in tourism here any time soon. But of course, everyone should so what works for them.
@Romewise : The Jubilee brings an additional layer of crowd congestion everywhere in Italy. I hate to be the bearer of negative opinion but Florence is a VERY religious city and the Duomo there attracts millions. Florence will definitely celebrate the Jubilee. It's not just in Rome. All the major cities celebrate the Jubilee year. I would wait a year. Others will be shocked how crowded it will be and honestly not tourist friendly. I've visited Italy so I know what I am talking about.

Your site is most amazing for being current and informative. Thank you. My family of 5 just visited Rome in early June and I'd love to combine Rome, Sicily (where my family is from) and Florence for two weeks sometime next year. Thanks Elyssa for all the great videos. Went to Rome in November 2022, and have thoughts about the trip and longing to travel back there again. Thinks about if not every day absolutely every week. 😅

There is major renovation going on for the Trevi fountain now. I hope you update your video.

If Rome is too crowded on specific jubilee days, it's time to use your other videos to jump on a train to other cities or towns for a few days.
Thanks, Lorna!
As I mentioned in the video, there are even many of the "must-see" sites that are not undergoing restoration, which include:
the Colosseum
the Roman Forum / Palatine Hill
the Spanish Steps
the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel
Saint Peter's Square and Saint Peter's Basilica (although the Pietà is still being worked on so you may only see a copy until they finish)
the Pantheon (yes the fountain is getting a facelift but the Pantheon itself is free of any scaffolding)
Castel Sant'Angelo (yes the bridge is under scaffolding but the monument itself is not)
Complesso Vittoriano (yes, Piazza Navona is undergoing a long-term works project for the metro line c, but the Victorian Complex and elevator are all free of scaffolding)
Campidoglio and the Capitoline Museums
And there are so many more lesser-known sites, piazzas, fountains, churches that are all available to see.
I hope you'll approach your visit with a view to seeing as much as you can, even if there is a little bit of scaffolding in the way sometimes.
If you want to make day trips, by all means. Yes, I recommend Tivoli. I did a video about it here:

Hi Elyssa, Im visiting Italy this December thanks for all your videos. It helps a lot. Also, I am hoping that I can see the "La Pieta" and the "Pantheon fountain" when I get there. 🤞 Do you think the construction is done by December? You're a big help to us, Godbless!

You are the best!
Awww thank you that's so kind of you!
If you are a fan of the Baroque, you may be interested in this video, and most of the sites I share here are also not under scaffolding:

Isn't the Trevi Fountain closed now?
After I made this video, they did indeed begin renovating the fountain. It's not closed but the basin is empty and there is some scaffolding up. The renovations should be done by the end of the year (2024.) Please stay tuned for an upcoming video dedicated to the works at the Trevi Fountain.
Hi Elyssa, could i still book a tour for St. Peters Basilica onJan. 5 or 6, 2025? Jan.7 is flight back to US. Thanks in advance.
Yes, you should be able to, but just note that January 6th is the Epiphany so there will be a papal mass. You should try to book for the 5th.
Will the work at S. Maria del Popolo be completed by Dec. 7? Thanks!
@@Romewise Indeed; thank you!

Yes, just after I published this video, they inexplicably decided to make entry tickets available through to the end of the year. They are also slowly releasing them, so if you don't see availability for the date you want, keep checking.

Seize the day?? Is that quote from that Robin Williams high school (boarding school) movie??
Carpe Diem is a Latin expression that means "seize the day." It's been used since Ancient Roman times, possibly first by Horace. In the Robin Williams film Dead Poet's Society, they used the term because it was appropriate to the theme of the movie.

Have a question, When will the Jubilee end and the construction monument will finished, because I’m going to Rome on March 2025
Those are different questions:
1) The Jubilee will end at the end of 2025
2) The Jubilee-related construction around Rome has different end dates - some will end by November 2024, some by December 2024, and some by early 2025.
3) Then there is some construction that is for the Metro C line that may last for years, even 10 or more. This is most evident at Piazza Venezia and along the via dei Fori Imperiali.
But by the time you come in March 2025, most of the Jubilee-related renovations will be complete.

These videos may be helpful:

You can see when the pope will hold a papal mass here:
www.vatican.va/content/vatican/en.html
Just click the calendar and look for the month in question.

DO you agree that all prices will be raised? Food, Drink, accommodations
@@sylviedendievel2355 Sure, everyone should do what feels right for them.
