Make your own potato chips. Either air fry them with air fryers that has not chemical coating or use coconut oil to fry them.

I love potatoes. They have good amounts of potassium and vitamin C, they are low in calories as well (if you don't add fat). The only downside is their huge glycemic index.

I love potato chips, but the one thing you missed is the calories in potato chips. When I eat potato chips, I gain weight. Any food that I love a lot can be a problem for me, so I avoid them. As they say about potato chips, you can't eat just one.

Very interesting I had basically cut out potatoes going low carb to combat insulin resistance and calcium buildup in my joints. My weight is way down and I'm off meds but I have persistent HBP. I am upping my potassium now and adding potaoes back to my diet and doing isometric excercises as well, I heard they are the best type of excercise for lowering BP. It would have been great if you included making potatoes into resistant starch through refrigeration - I heard boiled and cooled overnight the starch becomes resistant and causes a much lower rise in blood sugar. The Irish apparently knew this trick and it is apparently a much healthier way to cook and eat hashbrowns. An Irish woman commented on the video saying her grandmother always bolied potatoes after dinner !

So, I buy Trader Joe’s Olive Oil potato chips. All the other seed oils cause inflammation for me. They have salt, but that’s unavoidable. Here’s the thing: the moisture level is very low. If they were re hydrated the volume would go up. I can see how, by weight or volume, potato chips beat a whole potato. I don’t use very much salt in my diet, but I certainly need more in summer. I hear cooking and then cooking potatoes (and rice) then chilling them turns their starch into resistant starch; I wonder if that’s true for chips.

I use marijuana now. Boy, does it bring my pressure down! Within an hour! Last time BP came down 40 points systolic and 20 points diastolic! It’s my new “go to” when my pressure strikes. I know…smoking is bad but according to the tobacco industry they put…they PUT addictive substances in tobacco. The weed I smoke is organic…w/o addictive drugs, grown in very good soil and free of pesticides/herbicides.

I remember the old Lays Potato Chips commercial: "Bet you can't eat just one". Isn't it so true that no matter your good intentions sometimes you just can't stop eating chips?
I'm glad you finally touched on raising blood sugar towards the end of your presentation. Potatoes are one of the worst whole foods when it comes to quickly raising blood dugar AND insulin levels.
Also, please let's not forget that most chips are fried in very unhealthy proinflammatory oils.
I think using potato chips - even unsalted - to increase potassium levels is a very bad idea.
Additionally, the practice of snacking is unhealthy. If you eat wh ole foods including sufficient protein, leafy greens and healthy fats such as avocados, you will get proper nutrition AND.not feel the need for snacking between mesls.
Yes, doctor, please continue to research this subject and perhaps refrain from uploading videos until you are more well informed.
