I love it! I never would have thought to do rhinestones this way. In the past I’ve used the rhinestone panel to make designs that I cut from holographic HTV. Then I pressed the dots onto shirts to look like Spangles.
I'm not a Silhouette expert, and I'm still learning, but I'm thinking if you put the rhinestones on a separate layer, lock the text layer so it doesn't move, it would be easier to select and manipulate the rhinestones. I think in most design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) folks under use layers.
I just finished with a multi layer decal tutorial, but I did not add rhinestones. This is a great idea, though. I will definitely put one together soon. Thanks for the input!
www.creativefabrica.com/product/outright/ref/3248309/ It's from Creative Fabrica. They are running a sale on their subscriptions right now. If you're not a member, I highly recommend them. The value is unbelievable!
That design looks amazing! Is there any way of converting a font to a single outline... i.e. just a line down the middle of each letter? I've been playing around with foil and the heat pen, but couldn't get the results I was after using just the outline tool. I ended up using the sketch panel and a fill, but of course it took way longer. Or maybe there are specific fonts I need to look for? I've been saving up my reward points and want to spend them before they pull the plug on the scheme on 15th February 😢 I also purchased the ES mat from a store in the USA on eBay, so I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of that in the UK.
Test the cut while the mat is still loaded. If it didn't cut well, just press send again. As long as you don't remove the mat, it will cut in the same place.
🤯 can’t believe I didn’t think to do it like this.!! Thanks for this video.

I've done that with glitter vinyl!

What rhinestones are you using ? Do they have glue in them ?
They are Hotfix rhinestones, and they do have adhesive on the back. They are all ready to press!
Thank you soooooo much for this video. Can you share where you got the font from please. I tried a different one but didn't get the look you got. TIA

Can this be done with regular HTV?
It can, but you would probably have to place each rhinestone individually.
Is there a way to have a multicolor flock design without piercing it together?
Not that I can think of.
Where do you get that HTV?
I got mine from a local vinyl store, but you can find it on Amazon. I'm not sure what brand mine is. I've had it for quite a while.

You'll want to look for single line fonts! This was about as thin as I could get with the internal offset without losing parts.
@@silhouettesuccess Thanks, is there a filter I can use in the Design Store to show just these fonts?
@@edwardholmes91 I'm not sure. Maybe just enter that in the search bar on top.
How to add rhinestones for silhouette studio
So i need to send my design back to be cut again but i can't see how to do that without release my vinyl

@silhouettesuccess it wouldn't do I turned the machine off and on again. It only cut half of the design. I left it alone but I'll try it again today.
Thanks so so much for sharing, But why my rhinestones are not releasing ?
Are they hot fix rhinestones? Some rhinestones are meant to be glued. Either that, or the pressing time and temp might be off.
