Thank you so much for the video, you rarely see a video on this subject. Knowing how to use those tools is a GAME changer. There are so many things you can do!
You got me with “measure once, cuss twice”. 😂😂😂😂 And, yes, parchment paper is definitely a sanity saver when it comes to lining up the layers. As always, great and informative content!❤
Thank you!!! This solved SO MANY things I couldn't figure out how to do! What force and speed do you use? You mentioned using a depth of 2 but i was curious on the Force and speed.
I've found that the trace usually works best if I don't mess with the settings too much. I usually just draw the box and hit trace, then if that didn't work, I'll adjust what I need to.
Fabulous tutorial. I have used the rulers previously when creating but did not think to use them when laying pieces out for cutting on the mat, keen to try this now. Also the parchment paper trick, I don't do much vinyl work but I can see it working on a few of my cardstock projects. Thank you for your time and knowledge!
Thank you! I can't seem to line layers up without parchment paper anymore. It always sticks before I want it to. Let me know how it works with the cardstock projects!
I’ve been looking at getting into vinyl cutting for a year now. This video is exactly what I needed to see for the Studio software interface. It is just like Corel Draw that I’ve used for years. Thanks
Hi Brenda, Silhouette program is such a great tool, I have done this sort of thing with flowers and images too, but it's always nice to watch you explain things in your video's, TFS, Cheers Anna.
Hi Brenda, love the design and the how to use certain tools to achieve needed results VERY HELPFUL! Question:!when we need new mats for cameo 5 Curio 2 we use the same mat(s) we used for the cameo 4 machine right?. Love your videos thank you for sharing what you know
Whatever you place on the design mat will cut exactly where you put it. I just placed the different colors of vinyl in the corresponding spots on the cutting mat.
I'm running Business Edition, but I think all of these steps can be done in Basic! I did a quick review of the video, and I didn't see anything that would require the upgrade.
This is great. I’ve been trying to do this with a picture I drew and took a snapshot of it. I have been unsuccessful so far. I will try this technique and if I do succeed I will post it to your facebook group. I do not see a link to your facebook group. 🤔 Found the link!😁👍

😂😂 I hate when I do stuff like that, but I still won't measure twice.
Super cute! I love how you demonstrated laying this out on one mat.

Thank you so much for sharing your infinite Silhouette knowledge! I can never get the tracing correct!

Hey!! The blade and mats are the same for the Cameo4, 5, and Curio!
Newbie... how did you command each color vinyl to cut on the same matte.

What version of Silhouette Studio are you using? Can we do this in basic?
