So I have a free tip for everyone that’s simply amazing. Instead of using parchment paper you cut two pieces of Frisco Craft transfer paper cut to the same size. Combine the two sticky sides together and now you can clearly see where the vinyl needs to be placed. The outside of the transfer paper is silicone like and the vinyl won’t stick. Like I said AMAZING

Hello and love yalls channel. I recently bought a cameo 4. I don't know a thing about it. I did some free learning in Silhouette America but since I found this channel It helps tremendously. I just want to make things for family and friends as gifts. I have a BIG family I cant wait to get the hang of it. Is there some video yall have out there I could learn from?
Absolutely fantastic video, mega useful and helpful, thank you, please may I ask a quick question. Is it possible to fold a sticker around a light box that has curved/smoothed corners.? Thank you 🙏
It's difficult to get the adhesive to stick properly once folded. It's recommended just to cut the corner apart and line up each side as close as possible! -TRW Bri

Good question! No, there's no need to layer like this with htv. It's not possible as each color has it's own carrier sheet and they'd just stack on top of each other instead of pressing to the shirt aside from the bottom layer. How we get great presses with multiple htv is by doing a tack press on each color, then a final press at the end. A tack press is a short few second press, let it cool, peel the carrier carefully, line up next color, repeat, then a final long press at the end. This is because of shrinkage. If you notice your multiple colors etc just won't line up, this is what's happening. The prior layers are shrinking a few mm and that throws off your alignment. Here's a good example of tack pressing: ruclips.net/video/UPCQBl0hqGQ/видео.html -TRW Crystal
That's amazing but my question is how do you cut the decal itself? By that I mean the actual dimensions that the cutter will cut. I'm sorry if it's a stupid question. Just new to this.
No such thing as a stupid question, we love helping :-) You download a file (or, svg), and then if needed split your colors apart, load the vinyl you'll need first into the cutter, cut, then weed it, repeat for the other colors, and layer :-) -TRW Crystal
Our software color separates the design and makes the templates for us. We use the TRW Design Wizard in CorelDraw Graphics Suite. We have weekly free Live Trainings here on our RUclips channel every Monday night, starting at 8pm EST. Hope you can join us tonight! -TRW Pilar
I do the same thing. I don't use tape though, it slips off of the slick backing and sometimes pops up anyway. What you need to try - cut your design and there's always scrap vinyl you're going to weed off. Leave yourself a little extra and cut it into strips. Or use an ugly color and cut some strips from that. Fold the end of the strip over a little and stick it to itself like a tab. Use those to hold your decal down since it sticks to the slick backing much better. ;-) -TRW Crystal
As someone in the game with many years of experience this is the most expensive experience way of doing such a graphic. Suppliers sell on meterage so add the colours together for that, then add production time, costs of wasting app tape etc to do the layers etc when one print can achieve it all and you are losing money.......
He's not wasting app tape, it's only being used once to put all the colors on. He's using the backing from hot fix tape (usually thrown away) to be able to see to line up. Registration marks waste vinyl (especially when you when you have small, different colored pieces). I make a profit every time I do multiple colored decals & I've been using this method for at least 2 years.😊
Pytrice Williams not sure of size and I am in Oz, but I would knock that out on a printer (stacked with other jobs) for a few cents and be able to sell it as a profile cut laminated sticker for a lot more than what layers would cost. Then add the time to on the PC to set up the artwork, cut the various layers, weed them etc blah etc to that. If your in the USA that is a whole different market, as I experienced spending a few months at friends sign and graphics shops whilst there on travels a few years ago. And, on top of that a layered small decal like this will look like crap when it is stuck to something as the numerous edges will get dust and look even worse after a few weeks.
Correct, Our software actually auto color separates and creates registration marks for multi-color designs if needed. As for the Print/Cut like a Roland Verscamm they are for the established businesses costing upwards of 15K+. This video is geared more towards the startup businesses to help grow. Thanks for watching and the valuable comment to help. Matt
For HTV you'll cut all of your colors one by one, then place the bottom layer on the shirt, a fast 5 second tack press, peel carrier, then do the same with the next layers until you reach the last one. Full press at the end. -TRW Crystal
I wonder if this would work to layer htv before you press it on a garment. 🤔 I'll have to try this. Could help with lining things up and avoiding shrinkage issues.
