Have a Mal x got her at six WK old now four months old patient and time spent together goes a long way we move every two hours work out or walking.try not to give her much rest so she can be a lil tired at night that's my workout plan every two hours move play walk train she will catch on fast.
I have a rescue GSDxBelgian Malinois mix, Shepinois, as they're called here where I live, called Narla. She is so gentle with kids and very affectionate. But on the other hand she can be like a bull in a China shop sometimes, especially when playing with her husky sister 😂 She was an absolute nightmare on heat also. Never knew a dog could scale a 6ft so easily when its's craving the "D". I got her when she was 18 months and she was very wild at first she'd had no training. She's 4 now and she's grown in to being the best family dog you could wish for and no longer escapes 😂 🐕 ❤
We love our Girl so so much. Thought we were getting a full Mali, so so glad we got the Mix we got. She has the best of both and is a powerhouse when working with me. You may never get the dog you want, but you will always get the dog you need.... She is fantastic with the kids, loves her pool time. She does however require more walking, so running, jumping and chasing, than any dog I have ever seen or been around. I'm a huge dog person, met many dogs, these dogs have the focus and drive than either parent dog. 10months in and still being blown away by her abilities and character each day
I thought I was getting a GSD and found out later she was a Malinois mix. She's definitely a high energy crack head, but she's also very sweet. She plays with my cat just fine and in six months of having her has only chewed the corner of a night stand. She's at home alone for around 4-5 hours while I'm working and so far been a good girl. I thought my old husky had energy, damn was I wrong.
Haha I can only imagine how smart and high energy she must be! 🤣 What an incredible mix though, best of luck to the two of you! And we'd love to see pictures if you wouldn't mind sharing?! Our email can be found on our 'About' section.
Same mine is 1 and a half yrs old, he loves our cats and we take him to the dog park all of the time he loves any animal he comes across, he was a nightmare as a puppy but once he hit about one he really started to calm down
Just got a 8 weeks old female Melanois x and boy is she a good girl. I expected her to cry the first night I brought her home but she remained quiet through the night and woke me up at 5am. She learns tricks quite rapidly but as of now she has some serious biting needs. Loves to be around people and always ready for belly rubs. Honestly, I don't recommend it for most people but if you know what you're getting into and learn how to train them, they're the best. Bonus point: she is also very gentle around kids. If you are energetic she'll match that. If you like to calm she'll match that too.
I have a 10 week German shepherd mallinois mix, he’s so sweet and he often has the zoomies, he’s definitely a nibbler but learns tricks so fast!! He’ll be in puppy obedience classes soon because he’s starting to be a talker lol!
Sounds like you’re going to have your hands full! 😂 that’s great that you’re going to start obedience classes - these are super intelligent and athletic dogs that definitely do best with proper training and socializing (especially as puppies). Best of luck to you!
I've had both and the GSD/Mal mix being the best of both. I work them in protection and my mix has the athletic ability of the Mal with the intelligence and bite(GSD's bite a lot harder) of the GSD.
Indeed, I have a preference for the working line German Shepherd just because of their better nerves and obviously they're a more hearty looking dog, but the agility of the Malinois is definitely a bonus. The combination of the two, usually a female Malinois and a male working line German Shepherd makes an elite working dog. I know so many people that think they own a purebred Malinois but it's actually an X malinois, German Shepherd at Malinois mix. The combination can be anything from 50/50 to 75-25 and anything in between
This is the best mix . And thats hard for me to say because i love love german shepherds. Mine are very protective and very smart . And very good with kids of all sizes ! My female seats and protec my friends 2 year old . So dose the male but he always moveing when out side .
I've got a female Malinois. And had a GSD before her. I rubbed the inside of there ears and this will stimulate blood flow which in turn will make the ears more erect. Even now my Mishka - Malinois now 13 months I still rubbed her ears and boy do they stand up straight. I learned this from an e sheriff that had GSD. It works. So try it and best of luck to you.
Mine is 2yo right now.. great on the bite sleeve extremely protective.. Looking for a female to breed him with being 2nd gen puppies should be great dog's.
I'm getting a 1 month old gsd malinois mix because the owner is going to sell them before they stop weaning, so I thought that it was best if I could save at least one just in case they don't end up in a family that knows how to take care of small puppies that are still weaning. Can't wait to take him home but I can't help it, my heart breaks for those small puppies. Every dog needs a loving home.
Definitely! But it all depends on the dog's upbringing and socialization, and the introduction of the two animals. If a GSD grows up with a cat in the home, then there won't be any issues. Same thing goes for dogs that have been properly trained to be around other animals, especially smaller animals. That being said, if you introduce them to each other properly in the beginning, you shouldn't have any issues. @@AnythingGermanShepherd yeah, he's a massive happy dog now. He loves chasing off wild animals off our property and throws tantrums when we don't share human food with him.
Hello! I just wanted to ask if there is anyway i can share u a photo of my puppies, cuz im not pretty sure if they're fully german shepherd, if it doesn't bother you?
Huh? I have no idea what you are saying but if you are seeing a German shepherd and Malinois mix is not a good Guardian what I can tell you is this. Most of the Malinois you see as working police and military dogs are German Shepherd and Malinois mixes. They can look like a purebred Malinois with the same coloring but usually have larger heads and more bone from the German Shepherd and bigger bites. Also more stability in the nerves Department as German Shepherds have better nerves. I'm talking about working line German Shepherds not pet or show line. Most of the dogs are coming from knpv or nvbk lines. They are not papered but their pedigrees are well documented. They are mix of dutch, malinois, and working line German Shepherd. Anytime you see a 90-pound Malinois, it's a German shepherd mix. They call them military mutts. The breeding is very specific so it's not like they're just slapping any two dogs together, but they are definitely picking working line German shepherds, working Dutch shepherds, and working Malinois and the variations can be 50/50 75/25 and anything in between
@@primalcritters Wow that's super interesting, did not realize that so many of the military dogs were actually mixes, but it makes total sense if the goal is to get all of the best / most desired traits from each of these superior working breeds. Thanks a lot for sharing this!
I'm sure the German/ malinois mix is a smart and athletic dog, but there to small. If an American bulldog or a giant schnauzer came along they would eat that dog for lunch. But I do like the breed.
