Chicago, Illinois - The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) released video and other materials of the officer-involved shooting that wounded a woman. The incident took place on January 9, 2021, near the 1500 S. Karlov. Chicago Police Department (CPD) officers observed an illegally parked vehicle and approached the occupants to speak with them. Two occupants exited the vehicle as instructed by the officers. As one of the officers instructed the driver to exit the vehicle, she brandished a gun. All three officers retreated and took cover. Two of the officers fired at the driver, striking her multiple times. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital in stable condition, no one else was injured.

If you listen closely in the footage you can hear the driver saying "I'll kill you before I go to jail" this shows that this woman did not value her life or want to face consequences of her actions, it is truly awful that people would rather make a situation worse then just taking they're punishment

If you look closely from the street camera, you can see her toss the gun outta the passenger side door during the shooting. I think she was going try and shoot that one officer and make a run for it. Bullets are flying into the car at that point-especially from the cop firing from the cab of the car next to her-and that can make car trim fly about. If you slow the video down to 25%, it appears to me that the object that is bouncing back under the car is doing so two video frames before the disturbance in the leaves stops. Surveillance video is typically recorded at 15 fames per second, and this video appears to indeed by 15 fps. So two frames is about one-seventh of a second. Also, if you look at the two frames before 6:00, you can see her hand and there is nothing visible in her hand of the size seen bouncing back under the car. From all of this, my interpretation is she may have been throwing out a baggie of drugs. What’s also clear is you are highly visual in the way you perceive the world.

what I understand is that for many people their lives have become so hard and unbearably painful they would rather commit suicide by cop than go on living another day. These types of incidents will get more numerous until our society realizes that you cannot have like 23 people with more wealth than the other 99% of the population and that a healthy middle class has been removed from us by corporations, money and corruption within our political system. Revolution is happening right now.
