I don't even listen to any modern Christmas music...any kind for that matter. As far as I'm concerned they need to bring the sounds of these timeless pieces back but then that wouldn't work! The 50's has a sound of its own! No other era can compare! I was born in '71 but have always been in love with the '50's. Listening in April 2019 wishing I was in December 1950!
Wow.... Near the end of July, I just turned 59, and I am transported back in time....listening to this and many other beautiful Christmas music on my parents' Zenith portable record player (the turntable folded into a shell and the speakers attached by hinges could swing in to be clasped closed)..... I miss those days and especially miss my parents. God's Peace to you and all here. 🙏✌️
I miss my parents too....I'm 59 now. And remember helping mum dress the ceiling tall artificial tree. I distinctly remember hanging a fuzzy red rope around the tree....but the fuzzy rope was worse for wear and pretty bare in places....we didn't have much money in 1973...mum did her best bless her...lost in 2003. Same here. I was born in 71. Wish i could experience those times. My friend once said i was born in wrong time...who knows
You realise most of these songs are from 17 and 1800’s.
