Without a doubt, this year will be worse than the last. I lost a lot of money last year as a result of bad investment choices that I would not have made if I hadn't been so worried about my portfolio. I kept investing, but I couldn't determine whether to start paying for a house. In the end, I sold my positions, and the house needed more work than I had planned. I'm not sure how long I can keep going like this
True. My portfolio was diversified across several markets with the help of a financial planner, and were able to achieve over a million in net profit among high dividend yield equities, ETFs, and bonds. It is vital that you have a variety of exposure, including in firms that are currently generating cash flows.
While the 300 series Land Cruiser and Nissan Patrol Y62 owners are talking dyno specs and measuring there peckers the real 4wders are out there in there old 80/105s and GQ/GUs hitting the tracks n giving these old rigs a flogging. You don't need big power on a 4wd just a good set up rig for the tracks you drive every weekend.
Yep exactly my question you did a before and after with the 300 what about the y62 before and after a tune? Not a fair comparison with mount those figures????
I couldn't be bothered waiting till I'm old a frail to get a 300 series......plus spending an additional 50K......then being told by Toyota ..."take it or leave it"....🖕FU........So I bought an 'in stock' Patrol Warrior. Best choice ever!
So the reason why Toyotas motors are detuned, is for LONGEVITY And RELIABILITY..... how many of those nissan hand grenades did we all put up with years back, why wasnt there toyota versions of those, because they de tune for that reason, tune it and risk loosing it, and for what reason so you can beat a 80 series off the mark or a tradie wanker in a ranger .... but end of they day, any idiot in a bog stock camry or hyundai i30 is gunna blow the doors off any 300 or y whatever. They arent racecars and arent designed to be.
Put into perspective stock for stock the y62 stomps the 300s for +20k less and the y62 is in competition with the 200s will be very interesting to see the new v6 y63 with the twin turbos after a tune
Was the y62 done as rear wheels only also or was it done on the 4 wheel dyno. Awesome work comparing apples and oranges though cause the pre tune figures are less than the tuned figures and you've compared a tuned car against a stock car 🤷♂️
Patrol by far. I saved 50k and I just need it for a tow tug on the weekends and ferry the kids to and from school weekdays. I won't be spending $50k in petrol over 5yrs. Me that's a clear winner. And I don't need to add oil to the motor between serving. My friend works to Toyota and said why would you by a 300 series. 200 yes not a 300
What modifications did the 300 series have done to it? And what did those mods cost? I'm guessing alot. You could prolly buy 3 patrols for what it cost to get the 300 series to those power levels
that's weird on the rating. KW is a rate in which it spins up, if you have 6 wheels or 2... isn't the rate the same regardless. Example if the 2 wheel drive version can do a 0 - 60 mph in 5 sec. and a 4 wheel drive version (all the same in specs) 0 - 60 mph in 5 sec. they have the same power rating. Last example, by his explanation all things being stock oem. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is twice as slow as a 2 wheel drive..... but we all know this is not true, as we just tried a sample of pulling off the line between two exact vehicles one being 2 wd, other 4wd. Am I missing something
You must be living under a rock to believe this rubbish - compare standard motors between the two first - but now that you provided bullshit information, what about the "power to weight ratio" after the conversion of the 300?
Landcruisers are shit. Put 40k into the patrol to match up to the price of a 300 sport and you will have 420kw at all 4 wheels. It would destroy a 300 series.
Supercharged y62 got beaten with a diesel gr by just autos champ, patrols are shit. 3urfe engine supercharged or turboed makes more than the y62 engine
@adob5573 on an 1/8th mile against a patrol with tonnes of extra weight from bullbars and roofracks. Plus it only had 500hp, which is a 20k upgrade at best. Leave the body standard and spend the same amount of money that it cost for that 300 build (160k +) and that 300 would have no chance. Patrol would be pushing 800hp at the engine.
You could put harrop charger on y62 and still have a spare 40k over a 300series gr sport
Do the smart thing… buy a Patrol..

We've all made mistakes at some point. You should consider financial planning

If it's okay with you, could you tell me who your adviser is? I need some recommendations.

The y62 was tuned. Gained @20kw

We have had both, love both of them for different reasons. Well done on your purchase

How long will the drive train last in the 300 with that much torque?
Not long. You hit the nail on the head.
Bout as long as the engine 😂😂
Would like to know the weight difference between the two. . . . .

Agreed 👍
Y62 was tuned results, same hub dyno and both as 2x4 so def apples with apples.
Both tuned, ran on the same dyno and both in 2x4
smells fishy mate @@bogga163

Chassis extension would lower the figure, due to longer tailshafts.

Tune only gets these results, an intercooler upgrade is the one mod they need but even in stock form this helps.

Hey mate
Guessing the patrol was already tuned? As wasn't stated othere then muffler delete.
Yes y62 was tuned, std headers etc just the muffler delete
You should check the LC300 Sahara ZX vs The GRS version
Chuck a 48v Hybrid Hilux on and compare to the 1GD pre 48V and show why the new one goes better with the same peak numbers.
We haven’t dyno’d any electrics yet, super keen for it tho!
What boost is the tuned 300 running at?
42psi
@@bogga163 42psi! That's crazy boost. What do they boost stock out of interest?
What one goes faster in reverse ?
This would be a good test
NA vs turbo
What a ridiculous tune, great way to destroy the engine after you have destroyed your warranty
Not a very good comparison. 2wd versus 4wd and stock tune versus tuned tune. 😂😂
Both on the same hub dyno in 2x4 and both tuned.
