My problem is cooking in my garage during the very hot summers where I live. It's no fun cooking in 100° heat. So, I ordered the Steelmade USA Jr. for my gas range. Can't wait to try it.

    • @AmandasKitchen
      @AmandasKitchen  2 года назад +1

      Smoke is all about what oil you use and the smoke temperature point of that oil. So google the smoke point of your oil and use a laser thermometer to monitor the temp. There is some smoke at the beginning when first establishing the natural seasoning.

    Where does all the smoke go? Doesn't the grease drip off the front edge one onto the stove....there's no lip across the front? How heavy is this thing....can the average household kitchen cook pick it up and put on stove??

    • @AmandasKitchen
      @AmandasKitchen  3 года назад +1

      Smoke is about the same as if you cook a steak in a skillet. Can turn on the fan above if needed. No lip is by design, the airflow creates a more juicy meat. Weighs about 30 lbs and can be moved. They make a 1/2 size if that is a concern.

    I have a question if someone could help please? On the website when I was looking at the whole kit it said $607. Later when I looked back I noticed that it was the pro kit I was looking at. I want to buy a grill but was unsure of what the differences is in the different kits and prices and is it worth the extra money or no? Also, I used to work at Waffle House and they used a brick thing along with water and scraper to clean the grill. It seemed to take a lot of the black away if people don't like the black. Doesn't bother me but would like to know what the brick is called in case I wanted to purchase one when I purchase the grill! Also, the different wood choices for the cutting board. Does that really make difference in what type of wood you choose or is that more or less for looks? Thanks for your informative video!
