    exercise 1 & 3, #1 i do before any kind of training martial arts, weightlifting or swimming. #3 is like a magic pill, it improves the shoulder health and help reduced any pain or impingement issues, I do it once or twice a moth as a last resort when everything else fails and it work wonders.

    You must be reading my mind Mr Ingram. 😊 My shoulders are a bit arthritic so I'll give these exercises a try this afternoon. That staff exercise looks tricky, lol. 😅

      @@kalicenter Thank you! :-) The stick swinging I can do OK. I haven't got an actual staff so I tried using a broom handle. With that I can't get my arms down behind me even slightly. It's quite painful just to raise it over my head, which is bearable; but alas I can't get it down behind the plane of the back of my head even slightly. My shoulders won't go that far. I'll think about buying a longer stick to use as a staff but it might turn out to be too late for that much rotation. As I say, I'm 70 years old; and in addition I've never taken much exercise. Thank you very much for your excellent channel and all of your hard work though, it's greatly appreciated. :-)

      Yes. Typically short axes like tomahawks or hatchets.
