Maybe I'm an idiot, but for those like me who can't find the first screen shown on the video (which is why I came here in the first place). It is on the "today" page: top left there is a button with an image that looks nothing like a charge 6 - with a battery percentage.. This is how to get to you device screen. Note to Fitbit: Would be nice if it said it was a battery percentage I'm looking for rather than just "select your device", or use the name of the device, or even something that looks like the device.
Does this still work like Fitbit Pay which you unlock once every 24h, or is it as annoying as Google Wallet on Wear OS where it first fails the transaction and then forces you to fiddle around to enter the PIN while holding everyone up at the register? (... and lord help you if you get unlucky on the 2nd scan and it fails, because now the 2 subsequent failures mean that the EMV reader cancels the entire transaction, sputtering out a piece of paper to say so and forcing the cashier to start over and re-enter everything again, all because Google couldn't let you unlock Google Wallet ahead of time and had to prompt for a PIN mid-transaction.)
Update for anyone wondering: It does. You unlock Google Wallet on the Fitbit once every 24 hours, and are then not pestered with the PIN entry/unlocking again (unlike on the Wear OS watches).
UGH... finally found it. Click on the greyish bubble at the left top that shows an icon that looks like a phone & watch with the charge percentage. Under devices, click on the fit bit. Now you're at the screen where they show the set up.
Just change the fitbit location in the settings to US and you are ready to go =). Happened to me, google wallet available in the country but the wallet tile didn't appear in the fitbit app, ultimately was the location, maybe fitbit hasn't updated the locations where google wallet is available.,
Do you have to be within Bluetooth range of your phone? Or, does this work independently from your phone? Because, I thought I read that for music you need to have your phone with you; so why not just carry your phone????

Fix wallet on Fitbit charge 5. Since you made the switch to google wallet, i cant use payments on my charge 5 because it doesn't want to switch to google wallet.
