the Benjolin v2 has been a staple in my rack since I got it. Really love this module (even just alone), but looking forward to adding these expanders finally. Thank you for the excellent walk-through here. This helped answer a lot of questions I had. Cheers!
this benjolin seems interesting, I'm just wondering: are the knobs too small and therefore it's difficult to be expressive, or do you have control like with the macumbista?
Would you please tell me which way the ribbon cable orientation is on the Benjolin V2? Does the red stripe go next to the little white line or opposite of the white stripe?
When sending the rungler out to ornsment and crime to quantize the sequence, is there an alternative module other than BLEND to use to send the rungler out to before ornament and crime?
You can just go straight to the OC, but if your goal is for attenuation to shorten the range, then any attenuator/attenuverter will do. Blend is our smallest dedicated but a DC coupled VCA like our DVCA will also work. ,as will QARV. Hope this helps.
@@xorthontech We have it on our website. You can also check Patchwerks or Perfect Circuit in the states. In Europe I would check Schneider's or MIDI Amsterdam.
Nice demo, Tim! I like the added features of V2 very much. One question: do the Music Thing Modular "Volts" and "Pulses" work straight away with the ALA Benjolin?

Very good demo of this super cool module, so happy ALA brought it back! Tim did a great job here, as always

Didn't know how to do this, but just added this. Thanks for the help.
Woah, this is an incredible module. Great work!
Fantastic overview 👏 Might be helpful to toss a few time markers in the description to help folks jump around.

RIP Rob Hordijk, the creator of the Benjolin.
Very cool rig. Thanks for sharing.

Red stripe of the cable aligns with the white stripe on the module.

I looked all over the place for a blend module snd I can't find one. I just ordered the Benjolin V2 and both expanders after seeing this video!

@@afterlateraudio ok thanks! I wonder if Mutable Instruments Veils would do something similar.
My mistake, it was Bleep Bloop I couldn't find.

They sure do.
What happens to osc B when the Benjolin is clocked externally?
It is an osc that is no longer normalled to anything. You could use it as a modulation source for something like the cutoff freq.
I seriously think about buying a second one.
This will also be known as the Migraine-Ator to me, so not gonna buy this one lol.
