If the Holy Spirit is with you He can not be far from you. The way I deal with my PTSD is to keep our Lord close to me all day and night. I talk with Jesus the Father the Holy Spirit and our Mother and St. Joseph even when I wake up during the night. I talk to them as they are there with me. I know that just at this time and space I do not see them. But I know I will. Peace and love to all of you. Kathy
Thank you for a reminder of your testimony. . . Gives me hope for my family, for my husband, a vet who is in jail. He has PTSD and has struggled with drug addiction after being overmedicated for years through the VA. We pray for his conversion as well as a full deliverance from his addictions. Please add him in your prayers.
Thank you for this. I wish I had been further along in my faith journey when my mom was still alive. We struggled with a hopeless situation in our family due to a mental illness of my mother's. It tore us apart and put my dad in an early grave. All I can do is pray better now, than I did then, and continue to love my parents as I do, and my siblings even through the destruction that happened. The Catholic Church has been so weak in helping us in living and understanding the faith. The Church needs to accept the HOLY spirit into its heart and let it renew and transform it. God's Will, will be done in this.

Having grown up Catholic, I grew up knowing about the Holy Spirit and I was even overcome by Him during a teenager while at a weekend Catholic teen retreat. I had quietly prayed earlier in the day asking Jesus if He was really present in the Eucharist. I forgot about my prayer and during evening Mass, received Holy Communion and then all the retreaters gathered to our chairs. Suddenly I felt a warmth and a joy I had never experienced before. We were singing and I actually got up and stood on a chair in song and praise. People would think "yeah you're a kid and just caught up in the moment"..... except I was and still am an extremely shy and introverted individual. I never would have brought attention to myself in such a way, besides the warmth and joy was nothing natural... deep heat and undescribeable joy! At that moment, I knew the Holy Spirit told me the answer to my earlier question.... I AM here in the Eucharist. I've never doubted since.

My great grandson at the age of 4 years old pointed to a Dove on the back side of my Padre Pio medal and say... "He's going to help me" This blew me out of the water
