    This is great! I definitely want a Happy Baby, but I'm trying to decide between to Onbuhimo vs. the Revolution 🤔

      The revolution is going to be more similar to the original happy baby so check out that review video as well!

    I had been wanting an onbuhimo for my littlest so I can have my hands free for my older toddler while we are out and about.
    After your review I decided to go with the Happy onbuhimo, but what I found out is that it's nearly impossible to come by!
    They always seem to be out of stock and sell out waaaayyy too quickly on their website when they do finally become available.
    Even the Facebook group where you can buy them 2nd hand... for the prices some of the used ones sell (above retail)... I can get a brand new SB onbuhimo for about the same price.
    Which is what I did!
    It Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles and fancy leather or anything (which would make the price higher) but its still great!
    Unfortunately because I need a good carrier now (can't really wait months or longer for one at this point) and the used ones I've found cost the same or more than a new, basic linen SB Happy Baby lost me as a customer.

    The Sakura Bloom one is the one I bought first before encountering this video. I now feel like I would of been happier with the Happy Baby one 😭 ughhh lol

    Love this! please do more!! I've been using an ergo 360 which I love for its versatility but can be bulky and hurt my lower back with my very short torso...thoughts on Lenny Lamb or Baby Ktan?? Thank you!

    • @carrymemama77
      @carrymemama77  3 года назад

      The Ktan has quite a bit of give which I personally do not find as supportive as baby grows. Lenny Lamb has a ton of options from wraps to structured carriers to hybrids so there’s a lot of options there. I also have a short torso also and prefer any carriers with a waist band to be an apron style carrier. Both the Happy Baby Original and Sakura Bloom scout are worn apron style as is the Ergo embrace as well as many Mei Tai/Meh Dai carriers. There are a lot of options out there, but fit is subjective! I would recommend checking out a rental service or lending library if possible to see what’s right for you!

    Hi, even though the Sakura it says you can start carrying at 15lb can you carry a 12lb baby on that one? I noticed the Sakura does not have the buttons to secure the baby button.

    • @carrymemama77
      @carrymemama77  3 года назад +1

      I usually recommend sticking to the brand recommendations - but really the most important thing for onbuhimo back carry is that baby is completely sitting unassisted and has excellent trunk control. The 6 mo /15 lbs recommended by Sakura Bloom is based on the average age where this occurs, but for some babies it can be slightly before or after. The Happy snaps are typically only used for very small babies in the front carry position, not the typical onbuhimo back carry. Hope this helps!

    Which carrier do you suggest for carrying heavy toddlers? Thanks

    • @carrymemama77
      @carrymemama77  2 года назад +1

      For longer wears with a heavier toddler I prefer a carrier with a waistband. Generally the more structure the more support. For super cushy long wearing support you can’t go wrong with Naked Panda’s carriers.

    What would you recommend for a bigger toddler? My little is currently 38lbs! 😅

    • @carrymemama77
      @carrymemama77  2 года назад

      I don’t prefer an onbuhimo for my larger toddler because I feel there’s too much strain on my shoulders. I prefer a carrier with a waistband. If you’re specifically looking at these two brands, both make a toddler carrier with a waist band. These are essentially larger versions of the Original Happy carrier and the Sakura Bloom Scout.

    You gotta sell your soul to even get a happy baby carrier!

    • @carrymemama77
      @carrymemama77  3 года назад

      They have definitely been more expensive than SB recently when buying secondhand. But I do think that the trends are cyclical and I bet now that Happy has started having rolling restocks the demand will even out a bit!

      @@carrymemama77 I've tried the last 3 drops and within seconds they're all sold out! Idk how fast my fingers have to be! I lost during tonight's restock too so now I eat my sorrows through tacobell and probably pay double the price for one off of mercari 🤦‍♀️
