    I just replaced rotors/hub/bearing on a 1997 Honda Accord with captive rotor set up. What a p.i.t.a. but got job done. Now trying to replace both transmission shift solenoids but it cost average of &600.00 for decent named brand parts. It feels like the car gets slammed in the back by a bus doing 30mph every time gears switch. Yes, I drain & refilled 3 times using Honda DSW atf. I should of got a 98 Toyota Camry because they are so simple to work on compared to 90's Honda... Nice video !

      Thank you I appreciate it! Try looking on rockauto.com for your solenoids they have name brand parts and they always have great prices

      You can try to pry it off and if that doesnt work you might need to cut it with a grinder

    Hi, i have a 2000 accord, and i'm suspecting that the rear right bearing has gone bad, so i wanted to ask you how did you know you needed to change the bearing ? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

    • @Ricostaxxz
      @Ricostaxxz 5 месяцев назад

      When bearings go bad you can spin the hub and see if its smooth which is good, if making a noise and stops after a few spins the. Your bearings are bad. Had this issue myself

    • @RICHY6
      @RICHY6  5 месяцев назад

      When the bearing goes bad you can usually hear a humming/ wobble noise. It gets louder with increased speed especially on the highway

    that 5 lug hub, is that a direct conversion from the 4 lug? I mean can I use that to convert my '00 accord to 5 lug? thanks

    • @RICHY6
      @RICHY6  Год назад +1

      I dont think its a direct conversion. I believe the calipers and rotors might be bigger on the 5 lug accords. Try to measure them on your car and compare with a 5 lug accord at the junkyard. Thats what i would do haha. Maybe they are the same and all you have to do is change the bearings and the hubs.

      The hub/bearing comes ready to go no need for additional grease. The inner side of the bearing doesn't need grease because it stays stationary on the shaft
