ONE STEP AWAY FROM PAINT! | REBUILDING A CD7 ACCORD EX PT 11
Spraying high build primer is one of the final steps towards getting the Accord into paint. In this video we sand down the epoxy primer with 320 grit, re- mask the car and spray high build primer. The high build will help take care of any last little waves we might have had in the bodywork as well as give us a surface we can spray color and clear coat on. We can finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

MY RACE CAR ENGINE SWAP TURNED INTO A DISASTER
Просмотров 2564 месяца назад
I bought this d16z6 2 years ago and never thought about digging into it to make sure that it was good. I bought it from the same guy I had previously bought another z6 from so I didn't think anything of it. Luckily the damage we had to repair was minimal and we should be able to rebuild it and have the DX hatch set up with a "new" engine. Follow me on social: Instagram: jesusmerji...
SPRAYING EPOXY PRIMER | REBUILDING A CD7 ACCORD EX PT 10
Просмотров 4594 месяца назад
The cd7 accord is officially sealed off from the elements. Getting to this point seemed so far away, especially after body working this car for more than a year. From here we just need to let it cure for a week and we can start sanding down the epoxy with 320/400 grit and that should get us ready for the high build primer. I waited a year for this moment and It didn't disappoint! Fitting the front lip and rear duck bill gave us a closer look at the final product of the CD7 Accord. INSTALLING JUNKYARD RACING SEATS IN MY CIVIC RACE CAR
Просмотров 6385 месяцев назад
I found these seats at the junkyard while I was looking for something else. They were installed in a DA Integra. I decided to take the gamble on them because they matched the interior of my hatch and I needed something better than the OE seats. Even though all the stains didn't come out, the paint made up for it. The seats look great in the car and should serve us better for the vehicles applic...

FUEL SYSTEM UPGRADE FOR MY CIVIC RACE CAR
Просмотров 4476 месяцев назад
Since I already had to drop the fuel tank due to debris and spiders, I figured it would be a great time to replace the stock fuel pump which may or may not work. I replaced it with a Walbro 255 which is capable of 500hp. Follow me on social: Instagram: jesusmerjil Tiktok: vm.tiktok.com/ZMe2LCJY2/
MANUAL SWAPPING MY HONDA CIVIC RACE CAR CHASSIS
Просмотров 6587 месяцев назад
Originally the dx hatch came standard with a manual transmission, manual steering rack and a/c. In other words this hatch was fully speced out. I decided to do away with all that and take it back to the simple form of how I believe this car should be. Now that we got the chassis figured out, its time to start working on the heart for this build. Follow me on social: Instagram: jes...
DETAILING MY CIVIC RACE CAR AFTER SITTING FOR 3 YEARS
Просмотров 8428 месяцев назад
The transformation of this car is incredible. What helped the most was that the interior was all there and not all beat up. The whole car cleaned up very well and now we can focus on building it back up to where it deserves to be. Follow me on social: Instagram: jesusmerjil Tiktok: vm.tiktok.com/ZMe2LCJY2/
PASSENGER SIDE REAR QUARTER BODYWORK | REBUILDING A CD7 ACCORD EX PT 8
Просмотров 8368 месяцев назад
This rear quarter section is the happiest I've been so far with the body work of the car. I bought a big sanding block that I believe made the difference because it allowed me to work a bigger area at once therefore giving me a better finish. Overall this rear quarter took 9 hours of labor. The accord is one step closer to the final product! Follow me on social: Instagram: jesusme...
JUNKYARD UPGRADES FOR MY HONDA CIVIC RACE CAR
Просмотров 35 тыс.8 месяцев назад
The junkyard supplied a lot of the parts i needed for my Honda Civic race car. The hatch at the junkyard was exactly like mine down to the color and trim. The only difference was the hatch at the junkyard was a manual and mine is an automatic. Luckily this car will be able to provide all the parts I need for the manual swap including interior pieces. BUYING MY FIRST RACE CAR
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.9 месяцев назад
I've had this car on my mind for a year and a half. I went to ask if it was for sale when I first saw it because I could tell it was just sitting and not getting worked on. They never got back to me. Fast forward to the year 2024 and now it is officially mine. I went to go ask again because I kept seeing it there I was just waiting to see if they were going to get it up and running. To my luck,...
Roof Hail Damage Repair | REBUILDING A CD7 ACCORD EX PT 7
Просмотров 4459 месяцев назад
The roof is one of the most important parts of the bodywork on any car. It follows the natural progression as you view a car from the front. It starts with the hood to the fenders followed by the roof. I wanted to make sure and pay close attention to all the details and make sure I nail the final part of that progression. In all, the roof turned into an 8 hour shift. Follow me on social: Instag...

MY FIRST BURNOUTS IMMEDIATELY AFTER FIXING MY TRANSMISSION
6:38 support the inner race of the bearing as you press the hub into the bearing
Start in the center of the hood Next time that way you're clothes Won't be embedded in the paint
I appreciate it, I mainly start on one side that way i can keep following the wet edge of the paint (in this case the primer) instead of starting in the middle and letting it dry while i finish the first half. I have had my clothes touch while im spraying tho so i need to be more careful about that especially come paint time
Show us 7 days later how they look.
All these Cummins owners listening like there ain't no way it sounds the same cranking lol
I wish they did this and also advanced their 5 cylinder more as well. The s2k concept had a VTEC version of the g series inline 5, they could have at least used that engine in a different car
Yea honda been slacking on developing more powerful stuff, their whole motto now a days is family vehicles/ safety
@@RICHY6 they might be trying to swing back with the prelude, we shall see what the future holds
@fadedsoul23 hopefully man they need to do something to change up the game.. they can still build cool shit even tho safety is their main priority. They had discontinued the prelude because back in the day it was too expensive.. would be the equivalent to 40k in todays money. Kinda crazy to think but honestly to this day the 5th gen prelude is the best car ive ever driven.. handles and takes corners like nothing
@@RICHY6 pretty surprising for a FWD car
@fadedsoul23 yessir, that double wish bone suspension puts in work
Loving this once I get a job again I may try to do some body work on mines, anyone have a 94 coupe ?
I got a 94 I’m so happy to see peeps still working on Accords if anyone got a coupe 94 or 95 lmk
Where all my accord peeps out here I’ll follow y’all IG especially if it’s a coupe CD7 I got a 94
I need to fix mines 😢
That was 3 swings buddy 🫢
What’s seats my guy

What size is the axle nut
Should be a 36mm
Good video except no explanation on removing the old bearing
Actually if there's continuity testing wire to chassis ground its shorted. Short to ground. Sensor no good.
What happened to the red hatchback?
Thx worked perfect

Thanks for the video dude. At least now I know I don't have the proper tools. Two questions though....1) why not remove the caliper from the bracket first for easier access because it's only two more bolts? 2) why put those stupid rotor retention screws back? The wheel will hold the rotor in place as soon as you put it back on the hub and tighten it down. I swear, I curse every time I run into those stupid things. They serve no purpose whatsoever that I can see except keeping the rotor in line with the Hub while you put the brake caliper back. That will self-correct as soon as you put the wheel back on and tighten it down to the hub....
It just preference.. with the right tool the retention screws come out no problem
The honda manual doesnt say to remove starter, can you do it without removing starter from your experience?
Hey you Mexicano? I heard say come for eating
Si señor, hecho en Mexico, born in Denver, CO
Great simple explanation, thank you. 👍
lmaooooo 2:00 exactly the feel 😆
Yessir😂
Great video bro
Hell yeah. Bro I was in the process of doing that four years ago. great job
The front hubs can be changed so regular rotors can be used. I did it on my 97" Accord. You reuse your stock calipers. I used the 4 lug bolt 1998 Acura CL hubs, but that's only because I just bought rims for the car. I really wanted to change all four hubs to 5 lug bolt; more choices when it comes to aftermarket rims.
Il give that a shot, as far as i know the whole knuckle assembly has to be changed from a 1st gen odyssey to be able to run the 5 lug swap but maybe not haha, I appreciate it bro🫡
@@RICHY6 I just know the 4 lug is easy with the hub change; I didn't do the 5, so I don't know the details.
Need to swap out those ball joints while apart, those were shot!
Bro this helped because all I needed to do was plug it in I was boutta go get a new part, thanks man

Hey RICHY, What's up with the Accord? I'm building one similar to yours and i was inspired by your videos. Gotta keep em coming.
I gotchu bro, i got a new job and ive been working long hours but im adjusting to it finally so il have a video out soon. The accord is going to be the next one i upload, I appreciate your support🫡
Once I get a new air hose for my 30gal compressor im gonna go to town on my 6-6, clean it all up and get all the dirt/rust /oil off
Yessir💪🏽
Awesome, how long did the paint last?
So glad I found you doing this as I have a very similar table and I want to do this to mine and your video is very helpful, wow well done it looks great 😊
What size is the axle nut
36 mm probably
36mm
Why have you use epoxy? For rust protection?
Ono , univo video que achei , que foi bem explicado !!! Me ajudou muito, parabéns

I’ve got a 99 2.3 accord. Could this cause some starting issues?
It could cause a rough idle or loss in performance/ acceleration. Check your distributor cap and rotor/ spark plugs and wires
I currently have the same problem with my 99 2.3 the issue it gives me is occasionally it just bogs down when giving the pedal small taps kind of like it's not breathing
How’s the sound quality on this ?
“But except” *dog screaming*
Dam you gave me a idea

Doesnt matter if you mess up the threads if youre changing it
Im sorry dude but they look terrible youre gonna get called out on tbem so hard
nice
very good video step by step

sucks working on the car in the winter
Good job on the rear windshield good luck on the passenger side, but keep up the build an the vids bro great content an can’t wait to see what’s coming in the future 👍
Throw some vitara high comp pistons they like $150
Race car? That's a D series lol.
There’s Z6’s out there pushing 800hp sir
This video might be one of the most relatable I’ve seen on RUclips.. That bad input shaft bearing and the damaged threads are common issues. Despite those problems, the rod bearings looked in decent condition, I doubt that engine was knocking. Solid foundation for a build. Great work on the motor and the video!
Thank you🫡. Towards the end i didnt even care about the small issues i just wanted to have a good base to work with and i think thats what we got haha. I agree tho i dont think it was hurt the bearings looked ok and the crank as well. Time to make her look pretty
I had s blower head gasket in my other Honda and it drive it was only missing VTEC
Hard to kill the hondas💪🏽
@@RICHY6 right it died cause I did a tune up on it again and 1 coil left and plug
Dam thats a tough one, its ok tho sometimes things just happen the way we least expect
@@RICHY6 I still have the car and I have one with VTEC and a sunroof
I’m coming from TikTok to watch the full video. I am going to install it from a Honda civic 2020
Its gna look clean, good luck
U didn’t even show how to sent the hub screw after you install it
