Just like i did. First, easy delivery missions, and then just switch to missions to find some shit in space (like artifacts). You only need to bring one art for the mission, but there are usually 2+ in every signal source that has them
ok i have an issue. My cobra will only travel 3.7 light years max and i have no idear why? iv tryd to upgrade all my powerplant, frame shift and power distributor but now i cant jump anywhere
Not all spaceports sell all available modules for the Cobra Mk III. Go to a spaceport that sells Cobra Mk III ships at their shipyard, like the spaceport that you purchased your Cobra Mk III from, and you should have a much greater selection of modules.

hahaha , if you buy a Cobra just to focus on trade only...you are doing it wrong!!!. Like the description of a Cobra is saying : is a multipurpose ship not a dedicated trader. and an advice : do not mount inferior class modules in you internal module slots.
I stepped into a Cobra from the Adder. It seemed a logical choice. Don't pay attention to what it says on the tin. If it can equip the components you need for what you want to do, then the ship can do it. I have 52 cargo space, no weapons, and the 600k FSD (for ~20LY jump range!) and have made ~10m credits with my TraderCobra. It is truly multi-role. And with the game allowing you trade out modules at cost, who cares? You have a TraderCobra and want to fight? Just swap out the trading specific modules and strap on some guns. You lose no credits!
Your video is good and you are entertaining but I feel you need to stay on topic. The title says "How to outfit your Cobra for more profit in trading" But then you seem to be saying that your keeping more power than you need in case you want to try out a gun etc. That's not maximising or profit. I feel you could have at least fitted the lighter power plant to show us the difference in jump range. You get 100% of your credits back when you sell them.
I used to use it for Mining/Bounty Hunting. Mine at pristine metallic mining areas and get a few shots on wanted ships to claim bounties. I could make 600k plus each trip.
i still find it hard to follow you, I had bin the vid cos it was impossable to get any understaning on the things you where saying, its not you fault, it all there stuff inside the ship, I might not buy this game cos its so dam hard to get to grips with all the terms E 2 AND F 2 what the hell.
I had a hard time understanding, and this comment might be a little bit old, but it might help someone else. Letter rank is worst to best, A being best. Certain stats like heat, weight, and power draw can vary greatly between ranks. The number is class or size. 1 is smallest. Some ships can only fit certain class modules in certain slots. Smaller ships will be greatly limited to class 1 or 2, just for example. E - The s***tiest, stock type. D - higher performance than E, and always the lightest. Preferred for trading and exploration for jump distance. C - Middle of the road. Higher performance than D, standard weight. Considered the 'budget' rating. B - Second best performance. Heaviest, but MUCH cheaper than A. A - Best of the best. Most expensive, highest power draw, best performance. Hope this helped!
I was so stoked to play this game over christmas break, but I forgot my hotas back at collage :(
Im going straight from the sidewinder to the cobra

Now i'm doing heavy load contraband, 100-170k for a run to a really slose system
+brushboss99 What trade route are you using?
+Ralph dekeyser none. Contraband missions that payed 80-250k, but that may have been balanced because i haven't played in a while
brushboss99 If it still makes that much money i will have to try it. Pull out my cobra and in a few missions you could make around 1 million credits
this video was really helpful. upgrading my power distributor now.
Just what I was looking for... Thank you.
Great video helped me sort out my Cobra :)
I used to watch you ages ago when you did fifa, what happened brah?

***** I get your point but my idea is that people that buy Cobra will benefit more doing all sort of things :P beside tradeing with it .
