Yeah this is an old one
My first husband let the baby fall off our bed. He was reading some magazine about computers. I was in the bathroom, so he had to 'babysit' for three minutes max. I was going to church, then lunch with my family, so he effectively had the day off anything to do with our eight month old clever, loving, bright, happy baby...
Reader, I unmarried him. I also began my deconstruction from Catholicism and have no religion at all.
My grandmother had Alzheimer's. I took her to a restaurant and Nana wanted to tell her about how she worked in food for over 40 years etc... I tried to stop Nana and tell her our waitress had work to do, but the waitress waved me off. She was super nice and really sweet to my grandmother. It really made Nana happy. I know it probably annoyed others, but Nana needed that.
Being nice is important
this is so sweet and actually means so much.
My first week waiting tables I was given the crappy afternoon shift (where are you? Wait around, hoping that someone will come and eat lunch and never make any money. You’re just doing all the prep work for the people who come in at dinner time and make all the big money). The hostess seats 2 teenage boys at my table. I greet them, take their order and while I’m in the back putting their order in.. they leave. I went back to their table to retrieve the two menus that they had set up like a tent on the table. When I picked up the menus, there was a pile of vomit underneath.
That was my first experience waiting tables. I would’ve preferred to have Nana as my customer.
Just think of all the disabled and mentally challenged children that the ban on abortions will provide for Trump to mock and make fun of.
@HH-gv8mx OMG! That had to be so gross! I worked in a restaurant in college as a dishwasher/busboy. Several times waitresses came into the dish room in tears because of customers. I also witnessed first hand, the wait staff get absolutely abused by customers. There is absolutely no way that I could ever be a waiter. I don't have the temperament for it. I would get fired.
When my brother and I were in high school, his girlfriend worked as a waitress. She was filling up tea glasses with a table of a bunch of guys. One reached over and grabbed her breast. Reflexively, she dumped the pitcher of tea on him. She was fired for it.

I think this first subject about over sharing to a waiter is interesting because it’s such an American concept. I’m Swedish and if I were to tell the waiter about my mother in law they would look at me like I had told them something traumatic… ;)
I woke up at 7am to go pee here in Texas and I remembered it’s Thursday and immediately thought “New IHIP should be up” in my groggy stupor and now here I am. And I like to sleep in. That says something. Love you country pumpkins!

Back in the eighties and
Navigating all that it entailed in order to live in that world then ,the threat of obtaining some kind of STD made me terrified of having sex with anyone other than myself, so the fact that I can get “The Clap “ twice a week from Pumps and I’m not searching for the closest free clinic is truly a testament to the fact that I’ve had it with the powers that be trying to scare me into some kind of agoraphobic fugue state. Letting somebody expose me to The Clap twice a week and on top of that I actually get excited, one might think I might be aroused 😊!! Thanks for making me realize that I do have a super power to survive The Clap. I may need to start testifying that exposure to The Clap has me feeling like someone from the Marvel/DC Universe

I saw an Instagram of a she-shed. It was pink and white with flowers and a cat with a teaset on the table and chairs. Very cliche but it was obviously HER space and the only room for a guest was at the table for tea.. it was for sitting back and enjoying what she wanted.
For the nay sayers who hate the clap, I proudly clap in sync with my favorite lesbian memaw. On our first trip to the USA, we didn't know anything about your tipping policy. I feel mortified, now, because unless you're in some smart restaurant, we are very haphazard when tipping. We often just leave the money we received as change.

I have wanted to bring up just how much "had it" I have experienced over lash extensions since the beginning of my forced listenership.. Despite that my personal "I've had it" glory has been stolen from my cold menopausal hands, I will still continue to be forced to listen.
Anyway, if you care, I too have had it with these lash extensions that look like giant mammoth Tarantula's laying eggs on eyelids. I have a close family member that I can never tell you what she is saying because I am focusing on her eyelids in case those things jump off her eyes. It can't be good for anyone's eyesight!!

Honestly, I don’t think I need servers. It makes me uncomfortable. Just let me punch in my order, leave out some carafes of coffee and water, I can come and get my order. I know this sounds like MCDonalds. I do hate McDonalds, I do want something better, but I do want to let the cooks(chefs) know what I want to eat, and not have a server in my way. I really don’t need much. I am really uncomfortable with the idea of tipping also. This comment is going to bring me a lot of grief...I know.
