There's nothing special about doing it. Doing fostering is a pleasant experience and everybody that does it, is doing it for their own selfish reasons but it's great an animal benefits from it.

Me and the missus rescued an 18mth old staffordshire bull terrior cross. He is now 14. The best dog we have ever had.
Oh her poor ears.... She's just beautiful!!! What a good girl!!! Thank you for being wonderful, initially, foster pawrents, and now her furever pawrents.... And yes getting people to understand a dog should not be chosen on just looks alone... And people don't need to buy a dog.... Go adopt one, from a specific breed rescue, and there are many of them. To just the local shelter or the Humane Society (which is not funded by the government, and don't euthanize for space unlike shelters).... There are so many wonderful dogs in shelters and Humane Societies across the country, there is no need to buy a dog.... And by adopting you are saving at the very minimum, 2 lives...
I really don't see how these people hacking off these poor dogs ears think that that looks good. It looks like her ears were butchered. That's what it looks like.

Pit bulls are the best dogs ever. Breed restrictions are abhorrent. I had a red nose pit for 13 yrs and I miss him so much. He was my best friend. Love you Porter!! Miss you buddy!!

Sequoia is gorgeous. For your friends who are interested in getting their own Pittie, I highly recommend them reaching out to a Pittie rescue group instead of buying one. So many languish in these shelters and desperately need a loving home.

Thank you for rescuing her ❤. And people adopt don’t shop , Spay and neuter your pets. Don’t buy from breeders, there are tons of great dogs in the shelters. Please give them a chance. But make sure you are prepared for the responsibility. It’s for the dogs life . Not until you get tired , things get tough or any other excuse. Be prepared for the commitment. . ❤

Thank you SO MUCH for giving Pittie a chance to get used to her surroundings and the family. I know people that gave their new dog just a day to get used to their new surroundings and people they haven't met before. Lucky for Cooper, I offered to take him in. At first, he chewed things that he shouldn't, but hey, I needed a new bedroom suite anyway. That was 7 years ago, and he's the best thing that has happened to me in a long, long time.
The smile on her face when the group of girls was loving on her was the best! She's really beautiful and a sweetheart. ❤

I'm picking up our rescue pup tomorrow, and I am scared-thrilled-exited-awe-struck and already in love! I just pray that I can be a good pop, and that she gets along well with my two elderly parents, who are both excited as well. Blessings to all the kind people who take on the responsibility.

@@colinburke8389 More than I imagined, good and bad! She's a sweet pup, 9 mos. old now, and much bigger than I thought she'd get, about 64 lbs. But she can get really hyper. Also, potty training is hard. Love her so much, though!

Back yard breeders need to be held accountable for all the misery and pain they cause for innocent animals.
We adore our rescue pittie he was wandering the streets and emaciated. He was friendly when we got him from the shelter. He was being treated for heart worms. We were told he was a boxer, being a senior couple who have owned many dogs over our 46 years of marriage we knew he wasn't. Now he plays with toys and is unbelievably lovable. So happy to have him in our lives
The dogs just forgive and give so much love even after the worse they went through.

Despite their reputation as fight dogs, Pit Bulls like Pittie are known to be incredibly friendly and affectionate pets. Many Pit Bulls display a gentle and loving nature, challenging the steretypes associated with their breed.
So happy for her, she has good mom and dad now 😍
And many snap out of nowhere one day because of poor breeding. It’s not worth the risk.
The smartest dog I've ever had was a pit bull, and pit bulls have a lot of personality. If I was looking for another dog right now a pit bull would be my first choice.
@@Arginne I agree poor breeding affceting a dog's behaviour. However, individual temperament, upbringing, and training play significat roles in a dog's behavior, and responsible ownership is a key to fostering positive trait in ANY breed, including Pit Bull.s
What irritates me about them being used to fight, is a lot of people fail to realize they are abused into doing so. They are a victim, and deserve to be treated with compassion. Any human willing to do that to a dog just for the money dog fighting brings, is a sick individual. And any breed, any dog can cause harm. The people who fight them deserve our condemnation, the dog does not because the dog had ZERO choice in the matter. Doesn't matter the dog, they need boundaries, training, a leader, a loving home etc etc etc, just like a child does.
@@Arginne Unless that dog has rage syndrome, dogs do not "snap out of nowhere". It's a terribly myth that follows this breed around. They are no mindless monsters or walking guns.
Oh that big beautiful face of this dog! As this dog is being slowly rehabilitated to live in the now, so should people! Yes what this dog went through was bad. But that’s gone now. We should live in the now with this dog. No more abuse, just love. The dog is letting go of the past and learning how to love in the now, and observers should do that. Glad this dog is learning to trust, learning things, opening up. The past is the past, the now is what matters.
Now that is a grateful dog with a very happy ending after a horrible introduction to life with abusive people. Thank you for saving her and showing her what life, love and caring really is! 💕 ❤😊
All these poor animals 💔😢 They all have the same look of horrible sadness in their eyes. It just breaks my heart that anyone can be so abusive to animals and think it doesn’t affect them. They are living beings that we share the planet with, not “things” that we own and exploit. I hope someday every human will understand that. 🙏

I have had many pibbles just like this. Never saw stairs, tv, ceiling fan. All were afraid. Letting them adjust slowly and decompressing and giving them LOVE works wonders. They are such social and spiritual creatures. I wish more people would give them a chance.

They are good dogs. It is all about how you bring them up! Still, as Alyssa said, it is a big responsibility, since they are created for a specific task, they still have the instinct and that most cared for, always.

I spent a couple of nights at their home and this pittie just climbed into bed with me, got under the blanket and tried to take over the whole bes! And she was so sweet and cuddled just like your baby does with you! Enjoy your beautiful pittie! ❤️🐕

Omg. I love this so much. I have rescued and fostered the bully breeds for nearly 30 years. I have one right now that is my right hand man. He is my shadow dog. He doesn't leave my side.
I grew up with Staffordshire bullies. As long as they are treated with love, they are excellent dogs. My dog loves everybody and every other dog.

I had to comment. Thank you for giving her a home, she is repaying you with love. In the UK where I live we have Staffordshire Bull terriers, smaller versions of Pit Bulls. Pit Bulls come from Staffies. A lot of people's experience of a Pittie is that of a loving, emotional sweet natured pup. It is my experience of them. A lot of us don't need to look tough and want a dog who looks like that because they know they're the most loving dogs. Fifty percent athlete, fifty percent couch potato!
The dog in this video is not a Pit Bull . The APBT ( the real pit bull) comes from the English Staff( England ) and Irish Dog ( from Ireland)
