Loved the use of Ozar Midrashim for the reveal. Couldnt have picked a better theme.......... prompts the thought of painting in a nosgoth / raziel / kain colour scheme for some miniatures.
The jazz as a background was a great touch that added a lot to the video, especially when things started taking shape just before the Squarespace ad placement.
The Bot Bash brought me here, and the heady jazz in the background kept me. Glad I found this channel and am very much looking forward to digging through the 'Frogman' catalog. Your entry was spectacular and very inspiring!! Bravo and Well Done!!
Well done, Dave! i couldn't get past the first hour or two of trying to make bits go together.. i really must try again and see if i can achieve the same breakthrough moment you had. Also the painting came out tops!
Starting small helped me get used to the process of bitting stuff together. Making shanty buildings, with little goals like 'needs a door that makes sense' or 'has a place that looks like a ac unit' helped me get used to aproximating and fitting together.
Yeah, I bought a shit ton of those back in 2012 in a clearing sale. 5€ for a starter kit. Only wanted the terrain, but luckily kept the models for conversions. I must still have 30 kits waiting for a second life.
I've been binging these all day and, not only is your build amazing, but your exchange with Bill was fantastic! Love the look of the bot, almost falls under the "Ronin" category simply from the stoic, hidden face, single weapon design, but you nailed the rolls perfectly! Thanks for a great video!
That turned out, horrifying, in a good way. I would love to see that on the tabletop. I am liking these types of group collabs/hobby projects. I like to build my own after watching a few, while not part of the group, it helps make me feel connected to the hobby still.
Love It Dave !!! Great Build Man :) Whoever your lighting guy is, he or she deserves a fricking medal. Also, Tony... what a G !!! Your videos make my day :)
Found this channel through Billmakingstuff. I found it funny how the artist was talking about how hard he found the process and how opposed he was to most of his choices… cause this is actually my favourite entry in this contest/collaboration! This thing turned out BAD ASS looking! Good job!
Loved the build, it looks absolutely sick! Plus playing Ozar Midrashim from Legacy of Kain during the big reveal really sold it. Can't wait to see more!
Got here through the playlist.. great build.. like you said it has a really nice silhouette.. I could definitely see this creature grinding through some sci-fi universe. Best of luck with your channel
Cracking job! Tough rolls but you made it work. The build was fun but you really smashed it with the paints, your weathering really gave it a sense of scale!
I love this! Looks to me like some kind of mining bot. I can see it scuttling over broken, rocky terrain and climbing cliff faces, the cannon for blasting open rock faces, chains and pincers and grinders for processing the discovered ore, more precise lasers in the tail for cutting rather than blasting. I would have been tempted to add a bunch of little claws and hooks to all the dangling chains but I appreciate that's a lot of fiddly, fine detail work.
This is awesome! As some one who also has fine motor skill issues and a horrid shaking and hand jerking, It is nice to see another person out there that crafts and builds kits/models. I have no diagnoses but after 30 years of doing/ building minis by hand and scratch builds with my issues, I learned some tricks for stability... I saw that pinky stability move you did hehehe. You got my sub. Thank you for this.
I was watching this and thinking, "I don't know, man. It looks pretty cool to me." And then you said "let's get to paining," and I realized you hadn't already painted it. Jeez. The finished thing is awesome.
Wow this sent me down a rabbit hole of checking out all kinds of new channels on Sunday. What a fun way to get us out of our hobby bubbles. Great job on the build and the video! I really enjoyed the music on this one :)
Love this build. Can't believe you managed it in just 2 days. Looks amazing. Amused to find your your experience was pretty similar to mine on this challenge: gather bits, push them around, don't feel it. Ended up giving myself one more night to see if something started "happening" and it was the legs/lower body that clicked and gave me enough excitement/confidence to get the rest done.
The production quality on these videos is insane, I love the characters throughout and it's nice to see so much charm coming through in just one video, keep up the excellent work
This bot is sick! I think it's the draped cloth, but I'm getting a real mecha-Dark Souls / Fromsoft vibe from it, like it's a boss you'd discover in an old mine or scrapyard that suddenly springs to life when you encounter it and starts messing you up.
Huge fan of Bill & Cat. So happy to see your video for the bash. As a different abled crafter as well, Trashcraft is my preferred medium as it doesn't have to be perfect. Great build man!
Gods Sore Thumb I went there last year when I took a week long break to York. How I managed to not spend more than a months pay in there is still a mystery to me.
Cool video, really enjoyed the music in this one. Meanwhile I'm building my third Gunpla kit, very happy to have discoverd this hobby through your video's!

The beginning of this was like watching two MS Paints from alternate realities talking to each other.
21:55 "Kain is deified..."
Now that's a suitably grimdark 'bot!
💯
Great job mate, thanks for taking part!
Fanks Bill!
" I need more broken toys and I need more weird sht " 😂😂 love it
"Man puts junk and bits on the net for all to see". 😂
For the anxiety it gave you, those centipede legs look so good! All of it does, this is so great.
Looks awesome :) I also love the Legacy of Kain music ;)
Despite the Daniel Beddingfield thing, you did a great job!
Loved the use of Ozar Midrashim for the reveal. Couldnt have picked a better theme.......... prompts the thought of painting in a nosgoth / raziel / kain colour scheme for some miniatures.
This is fantastic man. So well filmed and edited!
Cheers babes! Appreciate it!
Looks Awesome 🎉
That Daniel Beddingfield looks a lot like that William who assembles things you know.
"Lover of the Russian Queen" - a delightfully niche reference. Love it!
Hector came up with that one. Solid reference.
Hector knows his 80s disco!
I also loved it, but thought it wasn't that niche. That probably says more about me than you ha ha.
Nearly pissed myself when I heard that! Lol
Right?!? Ha!
Ha! Soul Reaver music at the end. Nice.
The jazz as a background was a great touch that added a lot to the video, especially when things started taking shape just before the Squarespace ad placement.
I don’t envy the rolls you got but you made an amazing bot with them! Great video 🤘
Cheers mate! If I’d known we could ignore them I’d be much happier?
Love the vid and bot, and the choice to use Legacy of Kain music for the reveal, nice touch!
The Bot Bash brought me here, and the heady jazz in the background kept me. Glad I found this channel and am very much looking forward to digging through the 'Frogman' catalog. Your entry was spectacular and very inspiring!! Bravo and Well Done!!
11:23 shots fired
Haha, he never told me to do it, but I feel he’s to blame!
@@MSPaints I appreciated the joke. Also, he led me to you, so he can't be all bad! 😅
I've said before this man is a f#@king legend.❤
Content is floor less, makes me smile and says shit how it is!!
Love ya man.
Well done, Dave! i couldn't get past the first hour or two of trying to make bits go together.. i really must try again and see if i can achieve the same breakthrough moment you had. Also the painting came out tops!
Aye it’s really hard at first when you got piles and piles of bits and nothing fits!
Starting small helped me get used to the process of bitting stuff together. Making shanty buildings, with little goals like 'needs a door that makes sense' or 'has a place that looks like a ac unit' helped me get used to aproximating and fitting together.
nice with the soul revers intro
That turned out incredible!
Nice work, man!
The Airfix kit was called ROBOGEAR I believe, great video.
Yes! Robogear! Thank you!
Yeah, Robogear - looked a cross between 40K and zoids.
Yup .. big fan got the starter boxes for $45 or so in Aussie pesos... :)
Yeah, I bought a shit ton of those back in 2012 in a clearing sale. 5€ for a starter kit. Only wanted the terrain, but luckily kept the models for conversions. I must still have 30 kits waiting for a second life.
Fantastic work, really came together!
Thats one tasty looking bot. Awesome work as always mate, Slime Time baybehh!
I've been binging these all day and, not only is your build amazing, but your exchange with Bill was fantastic! Love the look of the bot, almost falls under the "Ronin" category simply from the stoic, hidden face, single weapon design, but you nailed the rolls perfectly! Thanks for a great video!
That bot looks like it could mulch a regiment, you hit the mark on every task laid the rolls threw you!
Aye he looks like the last thing you’d wanna meet in Stargrave haha
Love this channel! thanks for the hard work dude!
That's brilliant... well done that man. As ever quality content.
Cheers Patrick!
The music was awesome this episode, really enjoyed the more funky sounscape
That turned out, horrifying, in a good way. I would love to see that on the tabletop.
I am liking these types of group collabs/hobby projects. I like to build my own after watching a few, while not part of the group, it helps make me feel connected to the hobby still.
Great robot and vid. Lol I do wonder who would win if urs faced dan does robot lol
The legs turned out so cool! Love the puppet that looked in the bits box.
Holy hell, MS got to join the Shadow Cabal for a video!
Bugs scare me. This one does too! Great build and video!
Love It Dave !!! Great Build Man :) Whoever your lighting guy is, he or she deserves a fricking medal. Also, Tony... what a G !!! Your videos make my day :)
This build came up great
my favorite retro games store!!!!!
Found this channel through Billmakingstuff. I found it funny how the artist was talking about how hard he found the process and how opposed he was to most of his choices… cause this is actually my favourite entry in this contest/collaboration! This thing turned out BAD ASS looking! Good job!
Cheers Keith! I appreciate it
Splendid work as always my friend! Love it
Loved the build, it looks absolutely sick! Plus playing Ozar Midrashim from Legacy of Kain during the big reveal really sold it. Can't wait to see more!

That ending music brought back so many good memories ❤
Man that's amazing, it gives a real Meccathullu vibe
very nice. you should do some more
Cracking job! Tough rolls but you made it work. The build was fun but you really smashed it with the paints, your weathering really gave it a sense of scale!
LOVE IT, looks Epic 🤯👌 washes being it all together
I love this! Looks to me like some kind of mining bot. Fantastic build and great job with the lighting and cinematography in your video also!
That reveal with the soul reaver music was class. Fantastic build Dave!
That Soul Reaver track brought me back. Great work Dave!!
Once again the production quality is through the roof, great stuff.
Looks amazing - very inspiring! It's cool to see you (in video at least) do something outside your typical wheelhouse. Cheers
So cool!
I love it, though I was a tad sad the brain in a jar didn't make it.
I was watching this and thinking, "I don't know, man. It looks pretty cool to me." And then you said "let's get to paining," and I realized you hadn't already painted it. Jeez. The finished thing is awesome.
Looks great.
This looks like it could be a Metroid boss. Love it!
Wow this sent me down a rabbit hole of checking out all kinds of new channels on Sunday. What a fun way to get us out of our hobby bubbles. Great job on the build and the video! I really enjoyed the music on this one :)
Lots of great makers and crafters involved! What a great challenge it was
Beautiful piece of work.
Love this build. Can't believe you managed it in just 2 days. Looks amazing.

The production quality on these videos is insane, I love the characters throughout and it's nice to see so much charm coming through in just one video, keep up the excellent work
Thanks mate! We try and keep the production high to make up for the scratchy painting haha
I especially enjoyed the soul reaver ost. Nice touch.
Love how the cloth almost looks like raw skin. Adds a sense of dread to the mechanical beast
THAT music in a glamour shot!!! You're man of fine taste, I'd even say "you are worthy"❤️❤️❤️
You nailed this, mate. It looks great
This is so cool. I loved the idea of using spools for the body. Worked perfectly for the centipede aspect.
By the Emperor, Bill is wrecking every one with his chalenge, just saw 52 miniatures video, now i feel like i got to prove i can do this...
Absolutely incredible! Such a joy to watch it come to life. Massively appreciate your hobby and editing skills 🙌🏼
This bot is sick! I think it's the draped cloth, but I'm getting a real mecha-Dark Souls / Fromsoft vibe from it, like it's a boss you'd discover in an old mine or scrapyard that suddenly springs to life when you encounter it and starts messing you up.

Amazing job mate, and ozra midrashim for the reveal, *chef's kiss*.
Yeaaaaah! It felt right!
YES!!! That took me back to playing Soul Reaver, such a great series. Top video, the jazz worked so well for the rest of the video too.
The soul reaver theme at the end really fit the presence of this monster. 🔥
Gods Sore Thumb I went there last year when I took a week long break to York. How I managed to not spend more than a months pay in there is still a mystery to me.
Epic!
Roger dodger, all rhinestone cowboys gone. Very nice bug bot.
This might be the scariest of the bots on the playlist. Very entertaining video! PS: love the music!
This show is quickly becoming one of my new favorites.
Honestly the jazzy background music makes for a supreme vibe
Absolutely. Not sure what vibe. But we’re in deep now.
What an awesome video dude. Very inspirational. Pleasure being part of the collaboration with you.
Looks like something out of that animated film 9
That works for me!
Loved this - while out of your comfort zone, you smashed it!
hey man just wanted to say thanks for doing this video. Its got me watching a ton of new channels and bill is amazing.
Yeaaaaaaah! There’s some great people in the collab. Enjoy!
What a beast, loved this one. I love me a grimdark thing
Great build! You definitely got some of the trickier prompts but it turned out very well.
You used sewing supplies! And now I realize I have a lot more scratch building supplies than I thought. Thanks!
Ok so, came here from Bill.
Very nice build and great narrative but the cool jazz sound track instantly got you the follow.
Its different that is for sure and not something I'd like to see on a dim light avenue
Cool video, really enjoyed the music in this one. Meanwhile I'm building my third Gunpla kit, very happy to have discoverd this hobby through your video's!
The build is great, but I think the music was particularly on point in this one.
Great Mechapede Dave. Worthy of a place in the Big Bot Bash.
Thanks Stephen!
Awesome build
Blanchitsu style , it's very cool !
Fabulous work mate. Please keep up the dopeness!!!❤🎉🎉🎉
Love the aesthetic. Would easily fit into something like the Mortal Engines. You really did an awesome job.
Love how you created this robot!!!!
Definitely really awesome results!!! 😊😊😊
