This is a time lapsed video of me making a baby-sized quilt top, from start to finish.
This quilt top took me about 3 weekends to complete, and it's using one of my favourite quilt blocks, .

Wow, thanks, happy quilting, Jayne
Nice job!
Thank You! Happy quilting, Jayne
Stacking blocks like that is a great thing I never saw done.
Helps me keep organised 😀 Happy quilting, Jayne
Love your tutorials. I like look of the mitered corners. I have lots of scraps, thinking about giving this one a try!
These are really easy mitred corners, have a go. Happy quilting, Jayne
Good morning Jayne! Always enjoy your videos. Thanks for your hard work in making them for us.
Thank you and thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
I think your iron as you go setup is really a time saver. I’m trying to figure if I could make it work for me…. You are so logical in your piecing as well, sewing them all the same in each portion. All of these things add up to time saved. I have terrible back issues, but love to create, time saved equals less pain for me.
Glad it was helpful! I really like my cutting/ironing mat - it is a real time saver. Thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
This block is so nice and easy thank you ❤
Hi Gisela, it is one of my favourite blocks 😀 Thanks for watching and happy quilting, Jayne
@@PoppyPatchwork nice idea to put cardboard inbetween somehow they always get mixed up for me....
Excelente forma de manter o material para costurar.😃
Thanks Jayne! I just happen to be on my first disappearing 9 patch . I am older…. The video was just too fast for me.
Hi Jamie, I love the Disappearing Nine Patch block, sorry it was a bit fast - I am sure I will do another slower video on the Disappearing Nine Patch block soon, happy quilting, Jayne
Beautiful baby quilt…as a beginner, it would be nice to hear something of the blocks when you change what you are doing…thanks so much❤
I agree, I'm 75 and it was difficult to stop the video at each page or station of the quilt and write it all down. I'm going to watch a couple more times before I say I give up.
Disappearing nine patch makes a great block. I have a whole bunch of them up on my flannel wall that I need something to do with. I would've liked to see the measurements on screen for the piano keys border though I'm guessing 6.5". How wide were your sashing strips?
Thanks & Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!
Hi Deborah, I made my sashing strips the same size as the smallest square in the nine patch. Each piano key was 2.5" x 6.5". Thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
At the 46 min mark why aren't you cutting selvage to selvage?
Hi Ingrid, cutting selvage to selvage is good practice but sometimes for table space reasons or to get more out of the fabric I don’t, thanks for watching, happy quilting, Jayne
Two minutes in and I have muted the music 😩 made a cute quilt though
Sorry about the music, glad you liked the quilt. Happy quilting, Jayne
Some of the comments are very relevant… sizes…music…explaining why your doing it on mass? I can understand the concept of the block.. understand it’s not easy to film the whole project and value your time and input in all your blocks……so …..why didn’t you do just one block and then show us your finished quilt. I think this would have been better for us all that’s new to quilting….
Hi Hilary, thanks for your comments. I fancied doing a time lapse video but appreciate your feedback. I am planning to do a tutorial on the Disappearing Nine Patch as it is one of my favourite blocks 😊 Happy Quilting, Jayne
