    I've been waiting for this comparison. I appreciate that you are willing to do this comparison because most YT-ers won't go there since the perception is that there is no comparison. I have two objectives - street photography and some large birds and, lower light casual photos while traveling. I don't own either but sold my F mount bodies and most the lenses. I have one 35mm lens left and was wondering which Z mount camera to buy. I cannot justify the purchase at the moment but eventually I think I will aim for Zf. Thank you for your excellent quality videos.

    Hey this is a really nice comparison, but would've loved to see these cameras being compared in other situations during the day. Full frame is the winner in Low light no doubt!

    I think i would go with ZFC because its smaller. Thanks for sharing.

    • @FramesTM
      @FramesTM  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes the ZFC is smaller and lighter and if that’s your main criteria the ZFC is great. For me personally. The 10bit video colours, the much better still images and low light af is very important

    The one thing I do not hear people talk about the switching between the camera mode and video mode are totally opposite between the Zfc and Zf. The other day in my studio after working with the Zfc where the selector switch to the right is the camera mode and the left is movie mode. Muscle Memory kicked in and when selecting the right dial on the Zf using the Megadap ETZ-11 Adapter and the Meike ETZ Adapter is the B&W Mode dial. Now when looking at the lcd screen everything looks ok but suddenly I was noticing that the viewing area was squeezed at the sides. I turned off the Control HDMI Output info in the settings so I figured that it was the adapter that was giving me the problem. I went into the settings change them to make sure that it was set in FX and well make a long story short, when in camera mode use the camera settings in the Menu not the Video. Finally I was so confused for my video output I picked up the camera and saw it was in B&W Mode not Video and then the brightest Light that you will ever see was slapping my face one side to the other and realized that this User Error to get his act together is to put the proper setting of the dial to either B&W, Camera or Video and when changing anything in the Menu asking yourself are you in camera or video mode. Dah!!! LOL now but when it was happening at the time I was very worried. So Love Your Videos. Thinking of comparing the DX Z30 video comparison to the Zfc and Z50. I am not talking about the Tilt Screen vs Articulating LCD Screen on the other two just the performance in autofocus and video. Love to see a newer version of the Z50II with the flash still on it but with an Expeed 7 Crop Sensor. Or maybe Nikon is already working on that secret camera and will surprise us next year, after the Z6III or Z7III announcement. Cheers!

    I just got my Z f a couple of days back. I still did not get a chance to put it head to head with the Z fc, but I already know that my beef with the Z fc has always been low-light High-ISO performance. I took a few test shots today but didn't get a chance to see them on my computer; however, I am already confident that noise is going to be way much more suppressed and pleasant than on my Z fc.

    • @FramesTM
      @FramesTM  11 месяцев назад +2

      You may find no noise even 😄

      @kaminobatto whatsoever you think now about the files and high iso performance, I have zfc and thinking to upgrade to zf ,or to faster lenses .is it huge difference, or with good editing its not that significant?

    • @kaminobatto
      @kaminobatto 10 месяцев назад

      @@Montekos86 the files look great from the few test shots I have done so far. I still didn't get a chance to go on a full day shoot with it. However, if like me, you don't like noise when you crank up that ISO, then you'll definitely appreciate the Z f. It's much cleaner at the same ISO values, and I can confidently say it's significant. However, I am not sure about PP because I only used Photoshop's AI noise reduction but haven't tired the likes of Topaz for example. Based on PS noise reduction, I would still prefer the raw result I get from the Z f over it.

    Nice review and comparison, I own a Zfc and love the handling and looks. I also have a Z8. I also love to shoot at night. I would keep the Z8 but consider trading the Zfc for a Zf. Would you recommend me to upgrade to a Zf?

      You are correct. Not sure where he got that. As a m4/3 user it gets quite tiring people saying something like this when it's quite in wrong. The only thing that changes is the depth of field.

    thats great video and the only one i have found comparing those 2 . i have zfc and really struggle to decide if i need ff sensor like zf for low light , as i live in north cold and cloudy country , and some times i feel bothered from the noice in my files. i shot with viltrox 56 mm 1.4 most of the times , but i have to step down to 1,8 or 2 to be sharper , but even at 1,4 i have to shot 6400 iso most ogf the times . so im really wondering are the files from zf night and day , specially that zf has ibis , or should i invest more on lenses 1,2 or even 0.95 and more lights maybe ? or should i buy zf ? if someone could answer me, i would really apreciate it i have searched everywhere for the answer and files from both ogf them .thank you very much

      You can reach out to me on mail. Check the description for email. I can send some files to you to check.
      Now, I think you should get the Zf. Getting 1.2 lenses is not the real solution… you have to stop down on those lenses as well because they won’t be very sharp. And getting Nikon Z f1.3 lenses makes no sense for the Zfc. Those lenses are too big

    The Zf is in a whole different class than the Zfc. The Zfc was a disappointment along with Nikon's anemic aps-c lenses. I just switched to Fuji for my aps-c mirrorless system.
