We Bought A 1936 Ford 3 Window For A Shipping Container!!

- Our 2023 Pacific Northwest trip is coming to an end and we bought a lot of stuff!! We are shipping some pallets home, but we have a lot of larger items that are hard to palletize. So the only logical way to get them home is to stuff them into an early Ford and ship it home!! Matt arranged to buy this 1936 3 Window and Four Door a few months ago to help get the large parts home. The first stop is at Dan Morehouse's to palletize the smaller parts, and organize what we need to stuff into the car. The Four door is a really rough parts car and will be getting cut up and stuffed into the 3 window as well! We have a lot of work, not a lot of room and only one day to get it done!!! Let's get to work!!!

Puddins Fab shop needs those Datsun signs! ✌
How about some Datsun 240Z engines.
My thoughts exactly its what I was thinking exactly the same thing right before I read your post.
I agree!!
@Puddin's Fab Shop yes tf you do! Get it
ANY 35-39 3 window or 5 window coupe is just GORGEOUS! The lines on these cars are Fantastic! Can't wait to see you working on it.
I agree David!!!!!
The Rancheros and Chevy pickups would have been nice too. Excellent stuff!
Lots of love for the 36-3 window on here….I will have to make you all envious and say I have had mine on the road for 16 years
Very excited for some 36 ford content as a 36 owner, cant beat a 3 window
imagine that 36 with a chop and skirts
😍Love the '36 👍
I've been hoping for years that you would someday find, buy & build a '36 3-window. I've been working ion mine for several years and can't wait to see you finish yours in 2 or 3 hours of videos !!
BTW, all '36 3w's are Deluxe models - no Standard 3w's were made.
so cool to still find workable cars to restore Iron Trap rocks
DANG! 35/6 3-windows are bucket list rides! Nice score!
That'll be a sweet hot rod build !
Great finds, I love the 36 3 window, also the 1956 Chevy Big Window Truck Cabs I would love to have them. Also on the first stop there was a Green 46,47, or 48 Dodge Business Coupe, it looked really nice. As always great finds.
Parts and Pieces ,one man's junk is another man's treasure ,this was a good episode for my wife to see and now understands the How and why and the value of those specialized parts worth saving and parting out of a rusted out hull, A fascinating episode and how to transport your treasures , One great video
I grew up in a 1936 two door sedan slant back. I have wished all my life to be able to obtain a 3 or 5 window 36 coupe. To me the flathead worked with a 3/4 race cam and a set or duals with glass packs is the greatest sound an engine can make. Had some nice machines but never was able to afford that dream. I will watch the progress on this one and pretend it's going to be mine.
Wow ! Really love the lines on that 36 , baby's got back , & Lot's of junk in the trunk , lol ! A 3 window to boot . Something about the fenders & bodies on these cars "screams" so cool . The 30's to 40's were beautiful , IMHO . 50's through 60's had a few . 70's had a bunch of good ones . Not much after that , except isolated makes , models , years . Take care , safe trip home .
It always amazes me on the stuff you find. Looks like it was a good trip. Great video.😎😎👍👍
The '36 3 window is a good score, especially being a trunk rather than rumble model. Not especially rare, but highly desirable. Now......for really rare, that '51 Hudson Hollywood hardtop would be a real score (too bad it's missing a window, rust from that doesn't help a unibody chassis). Those stepdown Hudsons are such great driving road cars, especially if they have overdrive behind the 308 Hornet engine.
That 36 is BEAUTIFUL
That '57 Ranchero looks pretty nice!
Man you guys were blessed! 36 3 window coupe. One of my all time favorite dream cars! I know Shooter, even bought some parts from him for my ‘50 Coupe. If I would have known about that car before you guys it would have Sorry Charlie!😊 I am looking to you getting it on the road!
Man, I can’t wait to see this built. Gotta love a 36 three window.
It's really great to see that old Ford rescued❤.
I'd love a 36 three window and a 57 Ranchero (supercharged 312 etc ) .
By far the neatest car you have picked up yet. Can't wait for the build!
Even after what you picked up to bring home the guy you got the car from is still sitting on a gold mine, that 57 Ranchero, 56 Crown Vic, & other old GM iron would big prizes here in PA.
Hey Matt - You, Mike and Steve never disappoint!!! Your vision and inspiration to save and resurrect old Ford gems from places is AWESOME and appreciated. Looking forward to you guys fabricate this 36 and mount a flat 8.
Morning Matt &.crew! Matt, the camera is becoming a natural for you, the rumor is, all the old cars are disappearing, your travels are proving those rumors false!! Back in 1974-76 where I grew up there was a green 36 Ford Coupe with a 327-365 small block Chevrolet that was pretty quick, the Pacific Northwest is definitely some beautiful country.... y'all be safe! God Bless!!
Dude!! Your right down the road From me!!! Nice 3 window!!! ✌️
I railfanned the Mount Hood Railroad Christmas train 15 years ago, the Parkdale Grange turkey feed is the best. China Gorge, too. If ever on the mountain visit a tree farm, you will never forget the scent of a Noble Fir, this Pennsylvanian hasn't.
Was hoping the humpback would have provided a body for a flathead 'coach' dirt tracker or sectioned removing the rear doors forming a humpback coupe with hand painted Rinegold beer distributor sponsor.
Nice buy guys! The Hudson and the Ranchero were also beautiful...😍
I couldn’t believe the condition of the chrome on that Hudson!!
@@Gerk8 I agree, they are still in excellent condition after who knows how much time spent outdoors. With today's chrome after a couple of months the chrome starts to deteriorate.
I used to watch your shows all the time then for some reason I wouldn't get notices and I kind of forgot about you. Well I am back and have to say you have gotten way Better!!! I live in Puyallup Washington State just a ways up from where you were. Most people have no idea how hard of work is needed to keep an operation like yours going. That old Ford looks way better with nice wheels and whitewalls!! Great Video!!! Yes I hit the like button!!!
Thanks for watching and welcome back!
36 3 window is my dream Matt and Mike! Diamond in the rough there.
Oh man ! That is awesome ! When I was 14 back in 1960 A new house was built around the corner with a garage under. One day I peeked in cause there was never any cars around. Inside was what I thought was a 36 3 window unrestored , just dirty. Eventually they put diamond decals over the windows but I could still peek between the decals. Never knew what became of the old gent's car but last time I peeked it was gone.
I would love the Ranchero and the 55 basket handle but am sure the price is unobtainium ! LOL.
Great sound track. I had a 38 Chrysler 5 window business mans coupe.
Got it out in Wyoming and it was a driver. Original engine and drive trane
Had it 16 yrs or so and sold it.....
Still kicking myself .
it was as solid as the day it was made
All steel body. Ive never seen another coupe.
I know who needs those Datsun signs. Puddin's Fab Shop!
Love that 3 winder! I've just found a 38 5 window that I'll combine with a fordor to make a coupe. Keep dragging em home
The Pacific Northwestt is a spectacular place.
Slow motion, I would be the one that got it done on. I feel this daily, something is always froze stuck or broken. Oh my if someone didn't happen, I would think I was going home for the day.
That’s a great way to narrow a rear end lol good stuff
Thanks for coming out you guys! It was a great day and lots of fun!
Thanks man!
36 looking cool already....can't wait to see its future
Nice to see you out here enjoying God's country (just avoid PDX 😁). Love the 36.
Im excited to see the 36 as a project in your shop.
So crazy being from tacoma I left to Oregon when u guys showed up,we drove all over Oregon and was all in same areas you guys were, what a trip. I wish I could have bumped into you guys. I also wish I could have just drug that 36 to tacoma.
This is a great salvage video
Put some kind of netting or shrink warp around the bottom of car to help from losing anything that might fall out under the car onto the trailer !
Very cool! Should have stopped through Spokane I have a couple things to look at
Nice find. I like it. Thanks for sharing
Rocky Mountain wide 5 drums look so good on an A hot rod and '36 are the most desirable.
I like the 57 Ranchero right next to the coupe.
If you do another Pacific Nortwest trip you should check out Tee Pee Auto Wreching in Washington. Its a huge classic salvage yard. Must stuff is 50's and newer, but there are a few older cars. I only live about half a hour away so we go there regularly looking for old truck parts.
I want the '57 Ranchero, arguably rarer than the '36 30-window...OOOH! Look at that Crown Vic!
Love a 36 3 window, especially a painted one.
Beauty car... excelent... great proyect. Congratulations!!
Nice find 😎
Thanks for another ,Brother !!
Purdy Cool stuff, Natt
I kinda hope that some body work and paint finds its way onto your new 36. It would become an awesome daily driver...... you know it's true 🙂😅🤣!
Great buy
Very beautiful coupe too!!!
nice olds and a hudson good film you guys
What a great work 👏👏
Nice 55 Olds!
Very KOOL 36 Matt and Mike
Matt needs a 36 in his life...I love the fat fendered type cars..like that awesome 40 from other week... should be cool seeing the 36 get done eventually... Rob uk
I’ll take one of the trucks. Always great finds
Definitely a favorite of mine 36 3 window.
Central California watching
I live in Portland, Oregon…. Hii out w us it a 36-3 window escaped to tge east coast…. Like everything in life, it’s all about networking. Charcot went to a great street ridder though.
That was pretty cool how you guys cut up that car for parts !!
Can't believe that vintage cars are still here worldwide.
Great haul .😊
I need a project ! That 36 would be perfect .
Wow, when you Guys cut up a car, your really cut it up. Can't wait to watch the '36 come back to life.
....going thru the comments, you guys got some sales already.....put the 36 back to stock as you can, do the up grades that a guy would have do e back in the 60s....what would those cutout rims/whtwall look like on it?....and could they be widened or off set?.....I do like seeing big rubber on early rides....it was one cheap way of adding stability.....pax....rew
Nice 55 Oldsmobile!!
Out all them cars you pick that one 🤪
Best car there in my opinion. But hey I like early fords.
That will make a nice and beautiful car really rare
Hello, love that coupe!!!
Sweet looking car
I bought a 36 3 W Coupe back in 1970 for $10.00 from a farmer and after 33 years , sold it to a guy for $10,000.
Love the vidio. Thanks
cool
Oh, those Chevy pickup trucks❤❤❤❤
Hudson!!!!
nice car.
I would have bought the Crown Vic.
Oh man, 36 3W, that’s right at the top of my list. So, hot rod, or tail dragging custom?
I maybe wrong but I seem to remember these hubs way back in the 1950's on a Lincoln Zephyr. Again, maybe my mind is confusing them, but I lived in Rhode Island and we did have some Canadian cars around. The reason this "thought" is that I took the transmission out of this wrecked Lincoln for the gears for my '40 coupe. ??????
Lincoln also got the wide 5 bolt pattern in 36-39
Very Cool @406garage was there to help you guys out and is going to get it back east for you
It’s cool the ways it is,don’t chop the roof! Or hoop it up..stock is awesome with a new frame and powerful flat head..
Don’t hop it up but put a powerful Flathead in? That’s sort of a contradiction.
@@IronTrapGarage hoop is not hop up.. hoop is when you put big ole ugly wheels on it and a flashy paint job..hopped up is when you increase the power of the engine..really surprised you didn’t know the difference..
A friend of my father first car was that 36 humpback in 1947
Stock. With Motorola radio
BTW, how many people can you stuff into a Beetle😎?
Idk but 13 will fit inside of a 98 2door rav4
Tell Ben to tape that back glass in. I've watched a couple RUclips videos recently where the guy had it blow out on the way home.
That '36 three-window is so complete it would be great to see it actually restored but I know that isn't about to happen....
would you tell what you paid for this ?
Looks like that has been in a building for a while .Very solid for a field find .
Scrap masters
I’m probably the only one here who prefers the ‘36 5 window, probably because I had one in high school😅. $15 dollars bought a rust free, original blue paint, no engine or trans, dream. It had been a project by a previous owner who installed a Dana 60 rearend, and butchered the firewall and crossmember to cram a 392 hemi into it. The hemi was gone to history as was the previous owner. All the chrome was intact and in good shape, the body was near perfect except the firewall. Unfortunately the dream was beyond the ability of a kid with no tools nor experience except knowledge from Rod & Custom magazine. My dad got tired of it sitting in the driveway and hauled it to the Underwood, WA dump while I was at school. I was pissed but relieved. I’d rather have sold it but ‘36 Fords had no value in 1969.
Awesome score 👍🏻👍🏻🏁
Hey Matt, you’re a great metal fabricator why don’t you chop and section the 36?
Was that a Cameo bed?
It looked like it was.. I'm guessing it's pretty valuable!?
God damn that looks good
I always liked this Car since AMT came Out with the Model , but the Non Chopped type
Send the Datsun sign to puddin's fab shop he's the Datsun king
