Sounded good Jeff. 550-580 would be my go to Heli but this seem to be good. I have a Nimbus 550 still in the Box and hoping you can help me build it. Been quite a little busy with my Dad 😂 Good day my friend and good vid as always.
The 550 to 600 class heli’s are my all time favorite! The RAW 580 to be exact lol the Nimbus is a great machine, super light and powerful great power to weight ratio in the air. Yes I can! Send me a email.

Well with me getting back into RC Helios after 13 years . All helicopters are worth it . I have to get use to the FBL helicoptes . . I few Xcell 60 and a shuttle . So when I ask you a dumb question that’s why . Lol thank you for the great videos

@@westhobbiesrc8051 I know I was told that when I was in my teens . And my x-cell is getting a make over this winter . I do have a question. On my goblin 380 I’m running ikon2 with tork servo with stick input the response is fast but when I let go of the stick the servo or servos are slow coming back to center .
Not sure if that normal.
@@stevealoia yes, that’s perfectly normal on the bench, I’m the air you will never notice it. Same with the tail. If you are heading hold (witch you want to be in) when you move the stick one way it will kinda stay there and not return to center.
Sweet I miss this hobby so much I had several micro and 250 all the way to a 800 md 10 years since I flew I ended up selling everything to further my home at the time but I still dream kid and wife now and every thing is so expensive but maybe one day I’ll get a break and get me another bird
@@briannettles786 I just got back into after 12 years . And the same as you . Wife kids house work . I still have my x-cell 60 and my shuttle. And a new SAB goblin . I had to buy a new radio . My futaba super 8 stoped working. So I went with a new futaba 16IZ

@@waymaker_rc_club I would have to say the RAW 500 for sure. Bigger, flys lighter and better power to weight ratio.

I caught that too, im running the maniax 4000 70c but good to know it will take a 5000!
Did hear that but think it was suppose to Liperior 6s 3300 pack
So I said 5000mAh in the video and that’s because I just flew a 5000mAh in it for tuning lol but I was flying a 3300mAh in the video. A 6s 5000mAh will fit (depending on the brand) but they Heli is heavy! Great for tuning or sport flying, but I wouldn’t go more than that. 6s 3300mAh is a perfect all around pack for me.
What did you do to fix governor raising rpm and lowering rpm?
@@Bob-d3s I had to tell the Hobbywing to use Vbar Gov and not Hobbywing Gov. it was flight its self.
What were the steps that you took I having the same problem but I have futaba and non link neo

@@Bob-d3s you need to either update the ESC to Vbar software or just run the Hobbywing governor.
I'm just curious. Alan szabo Jr. Or Tareq Alsaadi? And why. I remember when they first came out SAB helicopters were much more affordable but yes they are worth it. I'm not worth it because I could see how good they were back then and I didn't buy a couple. Good flight my 3rd helicopter was a 500 so I like em but that's almost all there was.
Both are great pilots. I’d prefer Allen’s flight style a little more. It is a lot more controlled and smooth looking and that is the style of flying that I like. But you can’t take anything away from the 3-D king! The guy is an absolute insane pilot and argumentatively the best in the world.
So which tx/rx do prefer to fly on, vbar or Spektrum?
They both have their place. But in all honesty, I am preferring Vbar. I love my IX14 and iKon setup but the ease of programming, set up, field, tuning and much more Vbar takes it. Plus the Heli just seems to fly better.
@@westhobbiesrc8051From what I’ve read and seen, the Vbar has great features. My problem, if you can call it a problem 🥴 is I’ve used Futaba for over 40 years. I’m invested financially and understand their setup almost to a fault. To old to change now😂

I don't know about American prices, but in Germany the spare parts of the raw 500 are more expensive than the raw 700! 😱
So not cheap to fix at all 😅
Wow! That’s crazy. RAW 500 is a lot cheaper to fix than my RAW 700. Blades alone are cheaper!
Ok, blades is about the only thing that is cheaper 😂 It really is a pity..
I had mine pre ordered and when they released the prices for the parts I couldn’t believe how expensive that thing was. Cancelled my order 😂
here's a question for ya or maybe a neat comparison. if you had a raw 420 and wanted more, would you convert it to 3220 900kv, or go with the 500? im going to convert one of my 420's but bought one of these anyway. got it built just waiting on the motor to restock at BK. can't wait, it looks great! Great flying!
I just finished building a 420 converted with a 3320 900KV motor. So far I am pleased with the kit! It is a really great deal and builds fairly easy. I’d like the 500 a lot just because of its size. It is slightly bigger than the 420 and it has a great presence in the air but if I was a regular person lol and didn’t have the opportunity to build and fly so many different things I would personally skip with the 420 and convert it if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s a lot cheaper in the long run, but if you have the means and you can do it, of course build both! I’ll have a video on the 420 conversion soon!
Is it as good as the 580 raw or is it it little brother?
That’s a tough one! The 580 is very hard to be in my eyes. But I will say it is a great little brother almost as good, but not as good.
