Half the lyrics being in Latin sort of adds to the gothic vibe of the song. Vocally and instrumentally the song is pure adrenaline.
For a fantastic (and a little bit delicate) imagery and also a banger song: "Demons are a girl's best friend"
There is also a version with Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy.

VDPictures are also doing the videos for "Lord of the Lost", who supported Iron Maiden last year across Europe and will do so this year again. They reached #1 of the German album charts last week. And they are very interesting. But be aware: They are another rabbit hole, where dark rock meets goth meets glam metal meets synths including a perfect mixture of clean and harsh vocals down to growls. And they also have three albums with classical instrumentation (The Swan Songs). A perfect start to get into their music is the title song of their #1-album: "Blood and Glitter".
"We drink your blood" and "Dancing with the Dead" are Songs you should check out as well...!
Ah yes, Powerwolf. Gotta love them! They create a great atmosphere live!
My personal favorites are Son of a Wolf, Army of the Night and Faster than the Flame.

Super happy you liked Powerwolf! My top 3 favorite bands are Sabaton, Powerwolf and Battle Beast, and I think they are all great at making catchy and bombastic melodic metal jams.
I hope you eventually check out Battle Beast as well, cause I think you'd really like them! I HIGHLY recommend Battle Beast - "Straight To The Heart", Live at Tuska Utopia. It's a great showcase of vocalist Noora Louhimo's voice in particular!
As for more Powerwolf, I definitely recommend "Army Of The Night".

I want to know if Powerwolf has an album of the symphonic covers of their music.... It'd be great paired with Sabatons album.
So, I gotta admit, my attraction to Powerwolf is the reed-pipe-organ heard throughtout so much of their music.
(I worked for a bit less than a year at a pipe organ maker here in the US... what a job... getting paid for making noise with 900 watts of power in a tiny 12x12 room... 3 keyboards and a rank of pipes.. it didn't get any more fun than that for about 10 months (then they laid everyone off... ah, the 80's !!)
So yeah, that keyboard is magic to my ears. (Don't get me wrong, the guitars are great in that power-metal way, but the keys give Powerwolf the gothic ambiance of a forest of Lebanese Cedars.... on fire... in super-slow-motion.

This one is great but not even really one of their best, in my opinion. For visually gorgeous videos as well as amazing music you should check out the _Dancing With The Dead_ official video, as well as any of the videos from their Monumental Mass livestream. ( _Fire & Forgive_ is a personal favorite or mine, _Cardinal Sin_ is gorgeous, and _Demons are a Girl's Best Friend_ is everything a power metal video should be, with a little playfully raunchy fun mixed in too!)
Yes! Monumental Mass videos are incredible. Especially "Fire & Forgive" (from my very personal point of view).

if you don't mind music in languages other than english i would like to recomend another german band called Feuerswanz and the Song "Ding (seed cover) feat. Mleiisa Bonny", it is a great song with a fenomaly cheasy video.

I'm surprised that out of all the reviews no one realized he is singing in the pov perspective of Jesus Christ through the Catholic perspective aka the church will be done , instead of God's will but it's historically correct, this type of music is for intellectual minds of old and modern time , my will be done is man symbolically and literally manipulating the word of god and the name of god in the time of crusades 1097 and up during the holy wars , they base there music from history and mythology.
