I prefer my 100USDs Stagg Solid State made in China than my tube powered Peavey Classic 20 made in USA. People love the tube mid hump and compression, which are easy to produce with effects, but the narrow frequency range of the tube amp cannot be undone. Tube amp fever is a religious cult, not something rational
I'm going to go with your mod but I'm not too sure where it's soldered, on the right hand side ? The shadow makes it difficult to see for the visually impaired. Thanks Though x
It’s the center spot on right hand side, I don’t remember if I mentioned this in the vid but note how I cut the lead on the board so the resistor can work properly (you’ll see a little copper colored cut behind the left lead)
nice video, mix pot is more between a kind of phaser and vibrato, full effect at noon, allowing a decent vibrato sound only when turned all the way up. You know there's also an internal mini pot that allows you to get the sweet point of the vibe regarding intensity and shaping. my only concern was that volume lift so 1000 thanks for the mod. I bought it nearly new for 20 euros, so it's really sounding amazing for the price.
Nice video man! I think the SF300 Behringer super fuzz is the closest to the Boss fz-2,which is a copy of the Univox superfuzz, which is an octave fuzz!
Thanks for watching! You’re totally right, but this is a uz300 ultra fuzz, a little closer to the 3. I wanted to do a video on the super fuzz but so many other people have I don’t feel like I have anything to really add to the conversation 😅
@@TheQShow tbh,I even like it as a boost!. It's guitar dependent, but I usually use it on fuzz1 with a healthy amount of gain, and I shape the tone with the bass and treble knobs. It has such a good usable range! I need to get my hands on an ultrafuzz too haha
@@TheQShow I want to put it in an enclosure that looks like an old Univibe. Actually I want to mount the vibe and another pedal in the same housing. Just thought it would look cool. There’s no real person other than visual effect honestly.
Solid state amps ..... NO
Oh man you’re gonna hate my next video 😅
Why don’t you like solid state amps?
@@TheQShow You can figure it out !
@@rareform6747 I’d put my L5 against a dumble with the right speakers so... I guess I just need more time! All the best man!

Thank you so much !@@TheQShow
Hi ! Where is soldered the right side of the resistor ? Left pad or the middle one ? It is not clear in the video. Thank you !
Center one I’m pretty sure :)
There is another mod that blinks the external LED at the same rate as the vibe speed setting.
I absolutely love the vibrato setting on univibe pedals. The univibe is of course great, but the vibe side is often overlooked.

Thanks for sharing your experience! That’s a killer deal, I’d be lucky to come across another ones of these one day at that price 😤
It seems that my pedal has a different switch board lay out. Do you know where to solder the resistor on other switch board versions?
Find me on instagram and send some pics, I’ll gladly offer what input I can

What’s your favorite setting on the super fuzz?

@@MrGartsaba they’re all $19 on Sweetwater right now if you don’t mind the wait! Just copped their hm2 clone
@@TheQShow Thanks man! I'm in the UK,but they are a similar price here too
Man, I was looking for a new pedal. Now I can just fix me cool cat! How hard would it be to rehouse it in a different enclosure?
Probably not too bad if you’re drilling into the new one yourself. But… this is already a pretty sturdy metal enclosure. Why the change?

is this basically an improved chicken salad?
I’d say so, although tone is subjective of course ;)
