Yeah he’s right about the cutting ceilings because they usually get under the tubs and see what is leaking. Playing catch-up on your videos but yes, I do Maintanence work so literally anything you need to do to save money in the future your showers and tubs are popular fixtures so you don’t have to worry about discontinued parts

Well my problem was the same but it was the air unit , it keep leaking from my cieling also if your unit is in the attic you might want to check it or the ceiling .

@@glamorouswallflower I went with the August door locks for the same reason. I want my matching door handles and I don’t need a keypad because I can open it with my phone. August even Auto Unlocks when you return home then auto locks if the door has been unlocked for more than X mins. I have the door unlock/lock connected to a Smart Things Hub so when the door unlocks, the porch and foyer lights come on. When it locks the porch light goes out and the foyer light goes out 20 secs later. Makes coming home late at night safer. Lastly no one knows I have a smart lock because the outside lock remains the same.

learning alot from your videos. wanted to add to the comments that it possible to save money by getting a thermo image inspection to help find leaks and electrical issues. It find temperature differences to help find the sources to problems.
They probably did something wrong during insulation and low key fixed it when you told them about the water stains, who know- contractors are sheisty like that lol

They probably put a stain blocking primer on the ceilings to block out the water stains before going in with the actual paint. Or at least that is what they are suppose to do. Praying for you girl while you go thru this reno. Deep breaths and it will all work out!

quick suggestion when cleaning a difficult tub try mixing distilled vinegar and dawn soap in a sspray bottle and spray down your tubs/showers and let it sit for 5 mins its a great sanitizer and cleaner and will have your bathrooms nice and shiny

Sometimes the unit can freeze up or you may need a new one , you really don't know how long it's been there. The water suppose to drain outside check your gutters too. Be safe.
I swear some contractors need quality control supervisors (preferably a women) that mirror was obviously too big for the vanity & the light fixture & the tiles! You're probably better off buying a framed mirror eventually. Sending you positive vibes 🌠

Glad you didn't have any major plumbing issues. It could have just been from them installing the toilets and vanities and leaving water on the floor. Morning, real talk if you are not physically in your home when work is being done it’s a challenge. Now that you are living in the home you could be on the workers ASS a to do what they are getting paid to get done. If the house has been sitting for a few months it is in your best interest to hire a plumber snake all the drains and change your water heaters and filters. I had to clean by basement twice because of flood🥺🥺

This is too relatable. People come into your home and do crappy work and then you have to go over their work. Like I’m scared to see what’s behind the paint on my walls 😫 I noticed things more and more after moving in & my neighbors have also experienced the same thing from buying flipped homes. I just hope my worst suspicions are not true. The quality of work from some of these companies is laughable... like how do they still have a business or do they pick and choose when to do the right thing? It could’ve been because water was turned off for so long the pipes started sweating. Nevertheless this experiment saved you a lot of funds and stress. Learning so much from you that I will be ready once I purchase which will hopefully be in a year or two. Yes, do a smart home series.

Again, thank you for your transparency and showing us the gritty and the calming aspects of your journey. This is your house. No, this is your HOME, and you are doing an amazing thing. I was fuggen happy to not see anymore stains on the ceiling, and perhaps over time, with continued use if there are any issues plumbing wise, they will reveal themselves. I'm hoping for it to be alright already. Someone in the comments has already recommended snaking each of those pipes to clear them out. The home is beautiful, and dammit sis, you are too especially for sharing this. Shout out to gym showers as an option...Folks be forgetting. Thank you for the reminder. Get a whole workout in and a shower too. BOOM. The one question that I have from a NACA Rehab perspective relates to timeframes and dates. In your previous video, you said that time to have the work done is pretty much up or at least was around August I think. Does NACA allow extensions until the work comes to completion or do you get stuck in arsed out alley?
I really appreciate to support, as for the time frame and naca, they do allows more time. typically most projects take longer than expect initially but this is just drawing out beyond what any one thought so we will see.
Sis, get a new contractor. Your contractor did a horrible job. This is not quality work at all. It clearly shows that the contractor don’t give a damn. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Stay strong and encourage this shall pass.
Please remind me .. I didn't hear whether you had inspections completed. What all was uncovered during the inspections that required fixing? I'm wondering if the inspections could've saved you some money, time and frustration. I'm sorry, hun.. keep praying and whatever you do, don't give up.
It was a short sale so a lot was uncovered during the inspection...I shared that in my inspection video...wondering if the inspections couldn't saved me money wont help me right now & Thank you I appreciate it.
OMGOSH I just had flashbacks of when my carpenter left my bathroom floor the same way after installing a new vanity. I had to learn how to lay and grout floor tiles 😒

Maybe it was something they did installing the toilets that caused the leaks. Since you’re not seeing anymore. Let hope so. I can’t believe how they just jacked the vanity and installed the wrong size. And just said oh well. They really don’t care about the quality of their work. PLEASE make sure you put them on blast!!! I noticed things more and more after moving in & my neighbors have also experienced the same thing from buying flipped homes. I just hope my worst suspicions are not true.
The quality of work from some of these companies is laughable... like how do they still have a business or do they pick and choose when to do the right thing? Ugh! 🤦🏾♀️

It could’ve been because water was turned off for so long the pipes started sweating. Nevertheless this experiment saved you a lot of funds and stress. Learning so much from you that I will be ready once I purchase which will hopefully be in a year or two. Yes, do a smart home series.

I'm not even going to say what I want to say about some contractors and the pride (or lack thereof) that they have in the quality of their work. It speaks for itself. And right now, this isn't what you need to be hearing at all because we're keeping the energy and good vibes positive around these parts!!! Again, thank you for your transparency and showing us the gritty and the calming aspects of your journey. This is your house. No, this is your HOME, and you are doing an amazing thing. I was fuggen happy to not see anymore stains on the ceiling, and perhaps over time, with continued use if there are any issues plumbing wise, they will reveal themselves. I'm hoping for it to be alright already. Someone in the comments has already recommended snaking each of those pipes to clear them out. The home is beautiful, and dammit sis, you are too especially for sharing this. Shout out to gym showers as an option...Folks be forgetting. Thank you for the reminder. Get a whole workout in and a shower too. BOOM. The one question that I have from a NACA Rehab perspective relates to timeframes and dates. In your previous video, you said that time to have the work done is pretty much up or at least was around August I think. Does NACA allow extensions until the work comes to completion or do you get stuck in arsed out alley?
I really appreciate to support, as for the time frame and naca, they do allows more time. typically most projects take longer than expect initially but this is just drawing out beyond what any one thought so we will see.

Sis, get a new contractor. Your contractor did a horrible job. This is not quality work at all. It clearly shows that the contractor don’t give a damn. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Stay strong and encourage this shall pass.

Maybe it was something they did installing the toilets that caused the leaks. Since you’re not seeing anymore. Let hope so. I can’t believe how they just jacked the vanity and installed the wrong size. And just said oh well. They really don’t care about the quality of their work. PLEASE make sure you put them on blast!!!
