Hey boo! Loving the stairs. It's just how I want mine (when I get my house). When I do reno for people, I use a countersink bit, drill a hole in the top of the cap, then I drill the cap into position. The countersink bit allows for the screw to sit right below the surface, so that once the cap is on, you just fill the hole with wood filler, sand it, paint it real quick and you're good. So if you ever want to add some more security to those banister caps, I promise that way will work like a charm. TIME TO MOVE IN NOW GIRL. So excited for you!

The stairs turned out beautiful. Leave as is. Leave the rest white. Yes, we want an empty house tour AND a tour after everything has been arranged and decorated. Awesome! Yes, the contrast of black & white is a nice look, I also, prefer the iron posts; however, when moving furniture and such upstairs if something should occur the wood is easier/cheaper to fix😉 & of course we'd like to see an empty house before & after tour👍🏾

I think the black and white looks really nice! I wouldn't have thought to do the two tone look and probably would've just painted it all white, but that looks so good!

Hi this is Andrea using my husband's profile. You did a great job. Girl you did that you sure did . I sand and stained my bannister but guess what now I will change my caps out .My husband and I had change the wooden spindles to wrought iron. Thank you for this video. On my way to Home Depot.

Looks fantastic!! Polyacrylic sealer will keep it from peeling. I believe they have it in matte also!

Sis, you should really build up the post with a narrow box brad-nailed into existing post. Then, glue and brad nail your new finial on top. Fill holes with putty and then paint/stain. You really do not want a weakly mounted finial as they're touched almost more than the handrails. But, you're fast becoming a homeowner with a varied assortment of "She Tools"!

I love the levels of shades of the stairs. The white, black, & the tan carpet is it. Oh & it's also the open doors for me as well!!! It's nothing like opening your doors & not really having to worrying about others looking in.

Polyacrylic satin would give you better wear and no sheen! I Love the black on white, it made the stairway look much better. It's perfect, leave it, all black would be over doing it. Love IT!!!
